I created this team around my favourite pokemon - manaphy and its amazing ability, hydration. Suspect is a lot better for Manaphy and I don't like a lot of the Uber pokemon anyway. I've only tested this team a few times due to the lack of interest in Suspect battles on Shoddy but has done well for me so far.
-At a Glance-
-The Lead-
Bronzong@Damp Rock
Ability:Levitate
Nature:Impish
EVs:252HP/128ATK/128DEF
Rain Dance
Stealth Rock
Reflect
Explosion
Stealth Rock then Rain Dance then Reflect then Explode. Simple really. Sets up the much needed rain and SR then Explosion allows for a safe switch in for Manaphy or a counter, whether it KOs or not. Never failed me yet.
-Rain Dance Sweepers-
Manaphy@Leftovers
Ability:Hydration
Nature:Timid
EVs:80HP/252SPA/176SPE
Tail Glow
Surf
Grass Knot
Rest
The main pokemon on this team, switch in and tail glow as much as possible then rest off damage/status and sweep. Surf KOs dragons, especially Chomp with Rain, STAB and tail glow so i chose Grass Knot over Ice Beam, not sure if that's a good choice or not? Especially as Rain Dance does run out.
Kingdra@Lum Berry
Ability:Swift Swim
Nature:Adamant
EVs:180HP/252ATK/76SPE
Dragon Dance
Waterfall
Outrage
Rain Dance
Double Dance Kingdra - staple on any rain dance team. Best left 'til late game to sweep on its own after all other Rain Dances have ended, Water & Dragon give great coverage and Lum Berry is to cure Outrage confusion or any other status' attempted.
-Extra Rain Support-
Zapdos@Damp Rock
Ability:Pressure
Nature:Bold
EVs:248HP/228DEF/32SPE
Rain Dance
Thunder
U-turn
Roost
Extra Rain Dance support if needed, and Thunder benefits greatly anyway. U-turn allows a safe switch where Zapdos takes the hit over the pokemon coming in and Roost to recover. I would have used HP ice but it wasn't possible according to shoddy, any ideas why?
-Special Sweeper-
Shaymin-S@Life Orb
Ability:Serene Grace
Nature:Modest
EVs:4HP/252SPA/252SPE
Seed Flare
Air Slash
Earth Power
Hidden Power [Ice]
Gotta have Shaymin-S in a suspect team. I chose Modest for the extra power but if you think Timid would be better, please say. I chose Life Orb because I don't like choice items. Seed Flare for power and SPA drop, Air Slash for STAB and flinch, Earth Power for coverage and HP Ice for all the Dragons that plague the Suspect tier.
-Physical Sweeper-
Scizor@Life Orb
Ability:Technician
Nature:Adamant
EVs:252HP/252ATK/4DEF
Swords Dance
Bullet Punch
Brick Break
Roost
A bit more of a sturdy Scizor. Easily switches in to Outrage and the like, Swords Dance and Bullet punch for the KO. Roost helps recover Life Orb Recoil and Brick Break for coverage. Would X-Scissor be more useful in suspect for Lati@s?
-Notes-
As I said, not had much chance to test it out yet but has done well so far, all help would be greatly appreciated. I have a UU RMT somewhere that's run dry but i've recently made some changes so if you fancy checking that out, help would be appreciated there too, it's around page 3/4 I think.
Thanks for any help :)
