Here's the team I've been using so far for the Suspect ladder, and it's working decently. It is having some minor problems, however, so I'm posting it here to hopefully get a collective response on what to do about them.
Swampert (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 240 HP/52 Atk/216 Def
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Earthquake
- Roar
- Stealth Rock
- Ice Punch
Swampert makes for an amazing lead, beating out 99% of the others that you'll face up against. Ice Punch over Ice Beam as it has higher Atk and it hits Latias a lot harder instead of being negated by CM boosts. Roar helps me shuffle/scout their teams, and Earthquake is standard Pert fare for Tyranitar and Heatran.
---
Latias (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/178 Spd/80 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Dragon Pulse
- Substitute
- Recover
I thought this thing sucked until I made a few minor changes and additions to the team (and I learned to play it right). If you wait till end game to reveal it, once all their counters are gone, this thing rapes like no other. Recover is really amazing on it, and it makes for a great switch-in to a lot of the common Pokemon you'll see around such as Zapdos.
---
Magnezone @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Thunderbolt
- Explosion
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Flash Cannon
This guy really helps pull the team together, I'm surprised more people aren't using it. HP Fire is only helpful sometimes, but Scizor is such a threat that if I didn't have it for those few times I'd be screwed. I usually save this guy for end game, or at least until all their steels are at low HP so I can net OHKOs on them. Explosion is for gay stuff like Blissey or Curselax that try to set up on me.
---
Salamence (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 80 HP/252 Atk/176 Spe
Adamant nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Dragon Claw
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Roost
Testing this out to see how it works (over Vaporeon). The extra speed nets me 280 Speed, beating out everything that rides around there. Max attack for obvious purposes and Roost to aid in survivability, although it may be replaced with Stone Edge in the future depending on how big of a problem Gyrarados is. Leftovers may be replaced with Life Orb if the extra power ends up being needed.
---
Rotom-h @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/168 Def/88 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Overheat
- Thunderbolt
- Will-o-wisp
- Reflect
Just started using this, and it's awesome. Set up Reflect, and then WoW the switch-in (or vice-versa). It makes for a great Scizor counter, and helps me deal with Heracross and Lucario, both of which could otherwise rape me. Anti-spin I guess, but who really uses Rapid Spin anymore?
---
Tyranitar (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP/40 Atk/216 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Crunch
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Pursuit
I love this thing, even though I can't remember exactly what the set was called when it used to be popular in DP. It takes less than 40% from a +1 Latias Surf, OHKOs with Crunch or Pursuit, hits hard anything else that switches in. The bulkiness really is necessary in today's metagame imo, especially with all those weak neutral attacks flying around that slowly take their toll on you.
---
Notes: I have some trouble with Toxic Spikes - once they get set I can't really do anything about it. Kingdra can pose a problem in the rain (fortunately I've only faced one or two in my many battles with this team), and if Mence gets a DD my only real chance against it is to hope to OHKO with Ice Beam from Vaporeon or lock it into outrage and explode with Magnezone.
Vaporeon really does almost nothing on this team. It switches into Heatran, and bulky waters, but that's about it. Wish only comes in handy sometimes, and I don't really seem to need that water resist/immunity as much as I'd thought. I definitely want to replace it with something, but I'm not sure what.
