So, this is the team that I used to get reqs. I sort of tinkered with the sets the entire time (the original team featured Work Up Pidgeot, which I later discarded), and I eventually ended up doing pretty decently with it. I'm posting it here so that you all can look at it, use it, or offer some constructive criticism on how to improve it. Without further ado, here's the crew.
Pidgeot @ Pidgeotite
Ability: Tangled Feet
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hurricane
- U-turn
- Heat Wave
- Roost
Mega Pidgeot is one of the more interesting Pokemon in the tier, and there really isn't anything like it. It's fast and powerful without having to rely on a Choice item, and it's really easy to spam Hurricane, especially when it has a pretty decent chance to screw with incoming walls. This set is pretty standard, so there's not much else noteworthy about it.
Heracross @ Choice Band
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Megahorn
- Stone Edge
- Knock Off
The thing about Pidgeot is that when I use it, I always need to have a strong wallbreaker a U-turn away. Heracross is indisputable one of the strongest wallbreakers in the tier, capable of mangling the special walls that pidgeot can't dent. It also acts as a pretty good check to powerful bulky waters like CroCune.
Tentacruel (M) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Liquid Ooze
EVs: 240 HP / 244 Def / 24 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Acid Spray
- Toxic Spikes
- Rapid Spin
I decided to add Tentacruel to this team primarily because this team needed a spinner and Tentacruel is the best one that the tier has to offer. It's easy for Tentacruel to discourage bulky waters from setting up thanks to Acid Spray, which can help force switches or let Pidgeot more easily break walls. Toxic Spikes is another cool move on Tenta, but I don't often end up setting it up unless it's against more bulky teams. Tentacruel is also one of my only answers to Fire-types.
Florges (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flower Veil
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Calm Mind
- Synthesis
- Aromatherapy
I originally added Florges to this team as a Wish passer, but I got curious about the Calm Mind set and ended up using it anyway. With this set, Florges can still scare out Pokemon like a wall would (because the spread is almost identical to a defensive one) while actually serving as one of my ideal win conditions. My team packs Heracross, Krook, and Pidgeot, so the removal of steel and fire-types is decently easy and can pave the way for an easy sweep.
Krookodile (M) @ Black Glasses
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Earthquake
- Pursuit
- Taunt
I kind of added Krook at random because it had good synergy with Tentacruel and Florges, and I usually ended up employing it as a lead because of the great combination of Taunt + Knock Off + Pursuit. It's a great answer to hazard-stacking teams, and this set's incredibly high speed allows it to get the jump on unsuspecting defensive 'mons and Adamant Entei.
Bronzong @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Gyro Ball
- Earthquake
- Toxic
- Stealth Rock
I wanted a more solid answer to some of the tier's Flying and Fairy-types, and Bronzong did a great job in the place of Mega Aggron. It's actually an even better answer to a lot of attackers that only carry Ground-type moves to beat Steels, such as Kyurem, Shaymin, and the Nidos. It's a good wall and also serves as a great rock setter in a pinch.
The Team As A Whole
In my opinion, this team is pretty solid. It's got a good defensive backbone, a bulky win condition, and a number of strong 'mons that can pave the way for a sweep. However, it suffers from a few very common weaknesses, notably to physical Fire-types, Mega Beedrill, and Alakazam. It's a good team, but it could use some work. Let me know what you think of it.

Pidgeot @ Pidgeotite
Ability: Tangled Feet
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hurricane
