Welcome to the official SV UU Reservation Index! Over here, you are able to reserve sets for Pokemon that you are knowledgeable about to contribute an analysis to the tier. For the time being, we will be using a Mini Format and you will reserve one set at a time for Pokemon.

If you are new to C&C and analysis writing standards, look over these threads before posting:
All analyses must be approved by the UU Quality Control Team

UU C&C Moderators

Mystras

QC Team

Reservation Rules
  • Unlike previous generations, you will be reserving for ONE SET at a time instead of one pokemon.
  • Anyone can reserve up to two sets at a time and can add a third if their original two are QC ready first. You are free to reserve again once an analysis is in GP. Essentially, they don't count towards your limit of three once they're GP ready. QC members can reserve 4 sets at a time.
  • Make your reservation by posting in this thread. Check the index to make sure your Pokemon hasn't been taken yet, and check the recent posts in this thread in case the index isn't fully updated.
  • QC members are free to reserve any Pokemon; non-QC members have to get approval from a moderator before writing them, this will happen through your post being edited and will send you a notification.
  • Only reserve a Pokemon if you have a good amount of knowledge about it and experience with the metagame. C&C moderators can reject your reservation if they feel you are not prepared to write a good analysis.
  • Do not edit your reservation posts. If you change your mind about a reservation, make a new post instead.
Analysis Thread Tags
When you post your thread, be sure to use the appropriate tags for each stage of the analysis. Update your thread's tags and stamp number as you move through the process. Let us know if you're unable to meet any time limit.

[WIP] - Work in Progress: The skeleton is incomplete and is not ready for the QC team to evaluate. Keep in mind that the longer your analysis stays in WIP stage, the greater the chance of it being reassigned. Please avoid making comments in these threads until they are ready unless it's something very important.

[Quality Control] - Quality Control Ready: In the thread title, include [QC 0/2]. The preview is complete and now needs to seek approval from the QC Team. Make sure you update the thread title with the number of QC checks you currently have.

[Copyediting] - Grammar-Prose Ready: In the set title, include [GP 0/1]. The two required QC approvals have been met. The Grammar-Prose team now takes over. When you are ready for a GP check, please post in the Grammar-Prose Queue with a link to your analysis.

[Done] - After the analysis gets one GP stamps, it is ready for upload.

Reservation List
After reserving a Pokemon, you must post your analysis in a timely fashion. Your analysis thread must be up in 48 hours (3 days) or your reservation will be dropped. It must then be QC ready 72 hours after posting the thread. If you have any extenuating circumstances that prevent you from getting up your thread within this time frame, notify one of the UU C&C Moderators. Feel free to clarify anything on discord.

Multiple changes have happened to UU over the last months that have rendered a lot of our analyses quite outdated. We've just revamped all the sample sets on site to help deal with this, and would like to now revamp our on-site writing to adapt to these changes.

Due to the volume of work this involves, we will be using a mini-length format for this. For those unaware this is a set based format, involving two short paragraphs that are only around 3-4 lines each. This means that writing, qc checking, and gp checking should be a fast process to allow us to quickly get analyses on site with the key information.

[SET]
name:
move 1:
move 2:
move 3:
move 4:
item:
ability:
nature:
evs:
tera type:

[SET COMMENTS]

Paragraph 1 (3-4 lines approximately)

Describe the role of the set and its place in the metagame. Explain any moves that are not obvious in intent or are slashed with another option, STAB moves should not be explained unless they are optional moves slashed with something else. Explain any item choices very briefly. Explain non-obvious EV spreads, (not maxed stats), are there relevant examples for investments in speed, bulk, or power? Explain Tera-types with relevant examples, mention if the Pokemon should not tera outside of an emergency.

Paragraph 2: (3-4 lines approximately)

What teams does this Pokemon fit on? Comment on important teammates for the Pokemon. Some things that may be relevant to bring up here are Pivot supports, Hazard setters, Defoggers or Rapid spinners, Pokemon with strong defensive synergy, Pokemon that can help overwhelm shared checks. Note that not all of these things will be relevant to every example.

Reservation Index

QC Members are free to reserve an analysis at any time. Anyone else must wait for their post to be edited with a Moderator's approval before writing. Moderators reserve the right to deny someone to write an analysis at any time, we will generally expect writers to have some experience first before taking on a high priority analysis.

As a writer you may reserve up to two sets at a time. You are free to reserve multiple sets for the same Pokemon if you choose to, but these should be in separate threads still. Pokemon that have been reserved will be moved to the reserved spoiler tag once approved to make the reservation queue look tidy.

As the sample sets have just been updated, you will find the sets we would like you to write on-site. Please be aware that as per the plagiarism rules, this is the only thing that should be copied from the on-site page for the pokemon.

Opening these up now! Key points:

  • You will reserve individual sets. If you take more than one set of a pokemon these should be in separate threads.
  • This uses the mini format above.
  • Please wait for a moderator to edit your post with approval before you make a thread.
  • The sets you need to write are updated on-site, please copy these into your format as you make your thread.
