Its time for another heart pounding Warstory, Sweepers In Action! This Warstory is brought to you by Heraweak & Monster2me.

Taking a look at my team should give you a hint towards the title of the warstory. My teams theme is sweepers, its kill or be killed. The best defense is a good offense, its time to put that theory to the test.

Monster2me sent out Jolteon!
Heraweak sent out Gyarados!
Gyarados Intimidated Jolteon!

Hehe, my team was set up for that lead buddy! Lets set up this substitute for sweeper numero uno ;)

Jolteon used Substitute.
Gyarados used Taunt!

That's cold. I wasn't prepare for that no baton passing for me, or agility for that matter! Heh, I can tell this is going to be an interesting battle.I can still attack though, prepare yourself Heraweak!

Heraweak withdrew Gyarados.
Heraweak sent out Electivire.
Jolteon used Thunberbolt!
Electrive's Motor Drive kicks in!

In the words of George Dubya Bush "Fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again." I sure hope your right George, because If I get fooled again I'm coming after YOU!

Monster2me withdrew Jolteon.
Monster2me Sent out Scizor!
Electivire used Earthquake (30% Damage)

Great. Electrive doesn't have any super effective attacks on Scizor (Usually) so its time to stat up!

Electivire used Thunderbolt! (34% Damage)
Scizor used Agility!

I'm glad Electrive was not meant for mixed sweeping like Infernape or I would of been done for! Electrive is still faster due to the motor drive, come on Scizor take the hit like a Man! *Notices scizor is female*, Erm.....You go Girl? ;)

Electivire used Thunderbolt! (35% Damage)
Scizor (3 Hp) Liechi Berry boosts attack!
Scizor used Baton Pass to Feraligatr!

Haha! Nicely done Scizor! Thats a +1 attack and +2 speed for Feraligatr. Lets show them what we can do sweeper Numero Uno!

Feraligatr used Earthquake! (100% Damage)
Its super effective!
Electrive Fainted
Heraweak sent out Gyarados.
Gyarados Intimidated Feraligatr.

6-5 Monster2me

Great he didn't switch! He must've predicted a Dragon Dance. You knew this was coming Feraligatr vs Gyarados! Feraligatr doesn't have +1 attack anymore.

I cant wait to see how this plays out!

Perfect he doesn't know my Feraligatr packing a Liechi Berry! I'll dragon dance again and he'll earthquake me again. Which will activate Liechi Berry and Torrent! Which would be +4 attack - Torrent - Stabbed Waterfall! Equaling more damage than ice punch due to torrent ( 80 vs 75 to be precise). A good 70-80% damage + Flinch Hax.

Did I say a good 70-80% damage? What I meant to say was big LOL from Gyarados as he smirks from the thought of puny 7 foot tall bipedal Alligator beating a 21 foot tall flying Japanese Dragon.

Jolteon Fainted!
Monster2me sent out Ursaring!

4-5 Heraweak

Gah! That Feraligatr KO messed up my focus! Electrive was already dead and yet I used agility predicting the Electrive to come back in XD. Ladies and Gentlemen that is why you substitute before you agility with Jolteon.To top things off Ursaring didn't get Scizor's speed boost like usual because if I had of Baton passed to ursaring he wouldve been slower than electivire (Motor Drive) and got his face cross chopped.

Gyarados used taunt!
Ursaring used Facade! (25% Damage)
Ursaring's Flame orb gives him a burn.
Gyarados healed a little hp with leftovers.

Whats this I see? A light at the end of the tunnel! This wouldn't be much of a story if I was 5-0 sweeped by a Gyarados now would it? Now to Facade away I hope he thinks this is a quick feet Ursaring and switches too something slow after this KO.Lets do it sweeper Numero Dos!

Gyarados Fainted!
Ursaring is hurt by his burn (Ursaring~18% Hp left)
Heraweak sent out Dusknoir.
Dusknoir is exerting its pressure.

Yes! That was a gyarados without waterfall fortunately. Since Dusknoirs so slow Ill Night Slash him and atleast do 50% which isn't too bad.

Ursaring used Night Slash (100% Damage)
Its a critical hit!
Dusknoir Fainted.
Ursaring is hurt by his burn (Ursaring 6% Hp left)
Heraweak sent out Swampert!

4-3 Monster2me

You never cease to amaze me Carebear (Ursaring), lets show this swampert just how much you care!

Swampert used Earthquake (6% Damage)
Swampert restored a little HP from leftovers.
Ursaring Fainted
Monster2me sent out Scizor!

3-3

So close to getting that KO! Oh well you did a heck of alot better than I expected without any agility. I know my Scizor is faster than his Swampert, but so is Porygon-Z so no need for Scizor to get the finishing blow. I might as well test my luck and use agility in hopes he switches allowing me to pass to Porygon.

2-3 Heraweak

Heh, I figured that. Oh well, lets go sweeper Numero Tres! You know this would be alot easier if my agility passers weren't dead! Okay not dead fainted. Why don't pokemon die anyway? Im sure if a lv100 Rampardos Head smashed a newly hatched pichu it sure as hell wouldn't be alive. Of course if it was Ashes the Pichu would proceed to get up and doubleslap Rampardos to death.

Porygon-Z used Tri-Attack! (6% Damage)
Swampert Fainted.
Heraweak sent out Togekiss.

2-2

Unless its Choice scarfed or timid porygon-z should be faster. He might thunderwave me, so I think I'll set up a sub. If he does thats a free nasty plot!

Darn! This is not good.It's times like this I think I should replace dark pulse with thunderbolt/Ice Beam.I might even should replace nasty plot too and have boltbeam, but not substitute! I could never give that up, but this is not the time to figure out movesets! We got a battle to finish.

1-2 Heraweak

Curse you and you High Sp.def Togekiss! Curse you! Its all up to you now sweeper Numero Cuatro. Your a BellyZard, so you know this is over if his last pokemon is fast because after you fire punch Togekiss in comes Salamence/Garchomp for the win. We have to take are chances....

Charizard used Substitute.
Togekiss used Thunderwave! But it failed...

Oh now you want to use Thunderwave!! What? Porygon-Z wasn't good enough for it?Anyway this is an amazing turn of events. But the battle is far from over. He could have a go first attack on his last poke, a Focus Sash, or something that wont die in one hit like Heatran.

Charizard used Belly Drum! (25% HP Left)
Salac bery increases Charizard's speed.
Togekiss used Wish.
Togekiss restored a little HP from leftovers.

Words cannot express the joy I felt in my heart, so I'm afraid I have nothing to say.

Charizard Fire Punched Togekiss's Face Off.
Togekiss fainted.
Heraweak sent out Metagross.
Togekiss's wish came true.
Metagross's Hp is already full.

1-1

The only way I could lose now is if Metagross had um...Bullet punch and a focus sash. Thats like Gyarados have a berry that lowered the damage of ground attacks though XD.

Charizard Fire Punched Metagross to Oblivion. (100% Damage)
It's super effective.

1-0 Monster2me

That was an extremely close match Heraweak! Many a times I thought I was done for but we always evened out till the very end. GG Sir.

I'm new to this but I think its time for the Props and flops? Or is it slops...

Props
-Gyarados For its Amazing prediction skills and Guts to stay in on Jolteon.
-Scizor for staying alive with 3 Hp left (Nothings scarier than a angry female pokemon!)
-Gyarados again for summoning up the power to KO Feraligatr.
-Ursaring for taking 2 pokes down with him.
-Swampert for taking 2 pokes down with him.
-Charizard for getting off a Belly Drum.
-Togekiss for surviving the Tri-Attack.

And the Oscar goes too.....Gyarados! For almost 5-0 sweeping my team and great prediction!

Flops-Slops?
All pokemon are great and wonderful in my eyes and don't deserve to be called flops or slops.

But If I must to satisfy you heartless people out there ;)

-Jolteon for doing nothing but powah Electivires motor and quench gyarados's taste for blood.

-Dusknoir for getting OHKO'd by a pokemon who's type he is immune to.

Hmm. This was pretty good. I liked your use of Scizor, Feraligatr and Ursaring, and your predicition skills were good too. The writing was slightly humorous, and you got a bit of a feel the battle. Nice work.
 
It seems like you're addicted to berries and substitute :] It's a healthy addiction, but it's not very healthy when people switch in a hard counter and you're either forced to switch out (thus losing the berry) or hit with a clearly inferior (albeit speed or attack boosted) attack as they set up against you, or just 1-2HKO you.

That being said, it was well written and i thought you were doomed when he got that Dragon Dance in against you. Hera made a fairly bad decision in Taunting your Ursaring.. but then again it seemed like he was running a bulky build (especially since he didn't outspeed your Jolteon after a DD (Unless you have Timid Jolty (probably)))

that being said, you guys both used some ballsy moves >_>; i would've jumped the gun and switched to Electivire immediately, or, as you, i would've t-bolted immediately (i know, i know, such a bad metagame decision)

Loved it. brought some good insight to D/P metagame.
 
Good story. Shows off some Gyaravire action, and congrats on beating perhaps the most standard looking team of all time (wait, never mind: no blissey). I must say though thunderwave on charizard was a bad decision on his part. Nice writing style btw.

Please, that team's standard-ness is nothing compared to the guy ShadowNinja X7 faced in the warstory he wrote (Gyara, Blissey, TTar, Garchomp, Weavile, Infernape IIRC).

Good read though. Kinda dry and to the point, but nothing wrong with that as long as it's a good match.

Yeah, that taunt wasn't good, I assumed Ursaring had Swords Dance. It was a good match, I was testing some new pokes and most of them were good, except one who only did well in this match.

Is Bellyzard really that easy to pull off? It seems he's swept a lot more in DP than in ADV. I guess physical Fire Punch helps a lot. Anyways, your team is pretty easy to predict, excluding Jolteon and Scizor. I saw DDGatr, BellyZard, and Facade Ursaring from a mile away. Good warstory though.

You also got incredibly greedy with Feraligatr. You should have Waterfall'd instead of that Final DD.

Off-topic:
I wish Kangaskan or Miltank got Belly Drum. Scrappy Belly Drum would be fun.
 
You obviously need to work on prediction, but I think you know that already. Regardless, good battle.
 
Synecdoche - I agree, I might have to break my berry/substitute addiction on some of the pokes. I'll test out my team a few more times to see what needs changed. =)

Hyra - Actually Bellyzard is a real pain to pull off. Most people know what he can do and attack to break the substitute even if its not very effective. I guess it all comes down to Belly Drumming or setting up a sub.

P.S. I did get incredibly greedy with Feraligatr, its kill or be killed. ;)

Surgo- I completely agree and I'll try to show some improvement in my next warstory.

Saber- I'm pretty sure we battled, our beginning was almost identical XD.

Thanks for the support and criticism everyone, I tried to use my favorite Pokemon. I have a feeling my next warstory will have my Slaking in it!
 
Your team is 100% offense and it worked, it was also a nice read. I suggest to keep working on prediction and not giving up when your set-up Pokémon dies. You're good.

Also, things seem to be using more Choice items now than in Advance.
 
Im glad you noticed that FL, thats excatly what I was going for. I figured if they run out of their defensive pokemon from my versatile sweepers, I can wrap things up. Plus, I never really liked being on the defensive side of the battle. That Machamp/Blissey avatar is hilarious!
 
Haha yeah, your prediction could be better, but so could Heraweak's if he didn't break Charizard's sub! That's crazy talk! Bullet Punch wouldn't have killed you. It'd take two bulllet punches to break your sub =P

Also, I couldn't get over how huge the first four Pokemon on Heraweak's lineup are compared to yours XD His Gyarados is interesting. I guess it had Stone Edge instead of Waterfall?
 
Good to see my favorite pokemon (Ursaring) got two KOs, and did 98% damage to a third pokemon.
I personally liked your offensive looking team...
 
My Gyarados had Waterfall, but I somehow forgot it was there because I got stuck on using earthquake. I need to add a special sweeper, Swampert and Togekiss don't count.

Very nice warstory. Use Slaking, i use him and he is a great late game sweeper, or even a lead to take out a early person, then switch. I reccomend him
