Swept by the speed demon and his friend, the pink terminator.

OK so this is my third(?) rmt here on smogon. I was browsing the creative ms thread and came across this godly fellow.

Yes thats right clefable. This little guy is the curse lax of d/p. With the new addition of Magic guard status=no. As a last poke sweeper there is nothing better than this pink cotton ball with wings. :pimp:
Anyway the focus of this team is to clear out all clefables counters, while laying heavy damage on the opposing side, and then attempt a sweep with....... Not clefable? Yes thats right, first, I attempt a sweep with clefable's right hand man...

This late game menace will wreck through teams with or without scarfs. It further softens the opposing side and "lulls" the foe into a false sense of "security" in thinking that deoxys is my only late game cleaner. How naive they are... Anyway here's the team

Digital Malfunction Porygonz @ Salac Berry
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 8 HP/252 Spd/210 SAtk/40 SDef
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Tri Attack
- Nasty Plot
- Hidden Power [Fire]

My lead, wall decimator, sweeper, ect. This thing is a monster. A digital monster. Np on a switch to the inevitable blissey or cressy, and sub. Bliss will t-wave or ice beam same with cress. Neither will break your sub and you will get at least 2 nps off. then sub to salac and sweep. Tri-attack for stab and hp fire to kill steels. Sweeps late game if my other two fail.

Hera's Bane the Gliscor (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Roost
- Ice Fang

I looked over the team and saw the biggest heracross weak ever. So why not plop the best hera counter on the team? Easily counters hera, especially since the natural gift/galon berry is not implimented on shoddy yet :P. As usual it lays the rocks and walls fighters like there's no tomorrow.

Uber the Tyranitar (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP/44 Atk/212 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Crunch
- Earthquake
- Pursuit
- Stone Edge

I think this is the spread used by Jibaku for ubers, that's what I was aiming for. This provides the much needed pursuiter to kill all foolish ghosts that try to stop my late game clefable sweep. I made it bulky because it is one of the only pokes that can takes hits for the team outside of gliscor and it is much needed for pursuit.

Krakatoa the Heatran (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 40 HP/216 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Earth Power
- Dragon Pulse
- Explosion

This is on soley to dent the opponent and dent them hard. Hardly anything switches in on flamethrower and gets away with it. Dragon pulse is for dragons and coverage, Earth power for non-floaty steels and fires, and explosion to take somthing down. I usually end up using it as a last ditch blissey killer at low hp.

Road Runner the Deoxys-e @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 160 Atk/160 Spd/188 SAtk
Hasty nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Ice Beam
- Psychic
- Superpower
- Thunderbolt

The co-star of the show, late game sweeper and revenge killer, Deoxys-s!
This thing will sweep late game if given the chance and sould not be taken lightly. The basic stratagy is to keep him hidden unless a revenge is absolutly necessary. Bolt beam for coverage, Psychic is stab, and superpower 2hko's blissey. This is eved to out speed a scarf chomp in case you are wondering.

Curselax 2 the Clefable (M) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP/200 Def/56 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Belly Drum
- Cosmic Power
- Facade
- Softboiled

Finally the little pink terror known as clefable. This is really the curse lax of d/p. Cosmic power up with no fear of being phazed, softboiling when necessary. When I feel I have enough cps, i softboil up to full hp and belly drum. Then i softboil again and sweep. To give you an idea of its power, here are some calcs.

belly drumed facade on max/max positive nature hippowdon-68.81-80.95%
Belly drumed facade on 252hp/0def positive nature bronzong-53.55-63%

These are the toughest foes I can ever face and they are 2hkoed with stealth rock.

So there you have it. This team is being tested and so far it fares well.

In case you forgot.. Basic stratagy, hammer,deoxys-s attempt sweep, clefable attempt sweep.

I would worry about Mixinfernape, Gyarados, and Garchomp (since having only one Garchomp counter is a terrible idea with the Yache berry SD dancer out nowadays). Your only option against Infernape is to revenge kill, and you have no safe switchins to Gyarados. This calls for Starmie. I would honestly just remove Porygon Z for Starmie, since your team is trying to set up Clefable, and Porygon Z doesnt really do anything to help that out other than trying to kill stuff early on. I would honestly just worry about things that CAN take down Clefable, one of which is Chomp and Infernape easily.

The biggest problem is the lack of speed. In todays metagame deoxys is not going to cut it. Gengar and Weavile are 2 big concerns as they can pretty much easily 6-0 this team with a little support.

And then Problem 2. 4 Fighting weaknesses. Swords Dance Lucario with Hidden Power Ice tears through this team with little effort at all. One thing you can do is change Porygon Z to a scarfed set. Dark Pulse, Hidden Power Fighting, Thunderbolt, and Ice Beam will allow you to beat those before mentioned threats of weavile and gengar.

To help with the Lucario problem I do not see what SpecsTran is bringing to the team. I prefer a more bulky solid counter such as Weezing who will always beat Lucario or maybe use 282 speed mamoswine which can counter Lucario to an extent. If you really want Heatran then you could use Option C. Make Heatran Timid and make sure he is fast enough to beat Adamant Lucario.

Now on Gliscor I still think you desperatly need speed. I would say use Gliscor for some rock polish passing or try your hand running a very high speed. I personally like 312 speed on my gliscor to beat roserade and salamence.

On that Clefable I prefer the approach of Protect, Wish, Facade, Belly Drum although I still need to check if it is legal. If not then keep yours. However Thunder Wave is very annoying and you want to keep yourself safe.

yeah i might just scarf p-z because that would fix most probs. specs tran is basicly bringing a hammer of power to the team. and how do gar and vile 6-0 this? deoxys outspeeds and ko's both although i know it won't be switching in. if gar is scarfed tar ruins it. clefable also has toxic orb to prevent status. will spd on gliscor help it outrun lucario? if so its definatly worth it. mamo sounds good over tran i will test it.

yeah gliscor hits 317 speed and can also rock polish so the choice is yours. The only thing gengar and weavile wouldnt auto-kill is deoxys but once he is hurt enough or paralyzed then they would sweep. thats what i meant in the phrase "with a little bit of support"

No Gliscor has a base 95 speed giving it 317 max. But if you don't want max speed then you can just run rock polish with a standard spread and get like 400 speed.

He has no reason to fear Hera in my eyes. Gliscor is the end all hera counter. Lucario though is the one he should fear as it can beat gliscor. And if he uses the high speed heatran and uses deoxys right he can kill hera rather easily.

Heatran only reaches like 278 speed max......

Anyhoo, I'd just do a simple Dugtrio over Gliscor to take care of all Fighters, then replace the PZ with something else like a Gyarados, who helps against other Gyarados and the other fighters if needed (Lucario). Since this team is pretty much all offense, a starting, fast Gyarados with Taunt wouldn't be a bad idea to prevent SR for the time being.

However, since Tyranitar is a big stepping stone in letting opposing Lucario's set up, I'd rather run Expert Belt, which does enough to hurt the shit you're hitting SE anyways. I'd probably also slap Ice Beam over Crunch as well, to weaken the random grounds that would think you are Choice'd or something.

With the team as Gyarados, Dugtrio, Tyranitar, Deoxys-E, Clefable, for the last Poke I'll probably do a Jirachi, who can set up your own Stealth Rock to ruin Focus Sashes, and set out Wish to keep things fresh and healthy, and perhaps you won't even have to set up the Clefable.

HEY, you are using that Porygon-Z set that I made up in the "creative movesets" thread! YAY... good job!

But yeah, too many fighting weaks. Specsluke (yeah guys, that thing people used to use, it still works) could totally rip this team apart. With no solid switch-in, I fear it'd be GG for you if you ever faced it. A Ghost over Tyranitar would be a good idea.

The name Krakatoa is what I called my Magmortar lol.
The one thing I see is Snorlax against Pory-Z, but HP: Fighting would be a long time to breed so I won't bother asking you to do that lol.

Perhaps U-turn for Gliscor.

Other than that, nice going, especially with Care-tar.

LOL, Marriland Tier list is noob. Deoxys-E is BL there, ROFL.

What has that have to do with the team?

On the before mentioned SpecsLucario I think he can handle it somewhat well as it will be stuck on an attack and he can play off type advantage. Swords Dance Lucario is the major threat thanks to able to switch up moves as well as priority.

hm how about zong over p-z and maybe mamo over heatran? but i like specs tran so much... how would weezing work over gliscor to kill hera, gyra, luke and maybe ape?
