well the title is a little misleading.
Choice scarf is a fantastic little item that allows slower threats to rampage on faster pokemon.. Love that. I love surprises.
Especially when my team has two Scarfers..
It all started with this pokemon here:
with that massive 145 base special attack which is huge even by Ubers standards, i wanted to use it to punch holes in pokemon of UU.
Now with weakness to SR i needed a spinner. I Love all the water starters. Blastoise is a great spinner in UU so i went with it simply for my fond memories in yellow version and its great rapid spinning capabilities.
then i asked myself who was going to lay down rocks for me? Well seeing that i love water starters.. and chandelure needs every opportunity to switch in it can get..
great now my electric weakness is covered..... now that i had two physical walls and a special attacker i needed a special wall that could take hits from high powered special grass attacks as well as an immunity to ground(which is always useful) and a pokemon to deal damage to water pokemon.
good thing i already have a rapid spinner.. Zapados even specially defensive can still take unboosted physical hits quite well. now that my defensive core for the most part had been handled i was looking for a bulky sweeper.. I love mind games. At the team preview Zoroark had this affect and would probably fit on this team but one of the most diverse pokemon alive was the route i went with
I love mew. Always have and always will. now i needed a physical attacker. i need a fighting type that can handle dark and grass. Ive read how devastating Heracross can be and i decided to try it.
so seems kind of a random team(to me at least) but it plays together quite well. Ill get to that in a moment in the individual break down of each pokemon.

Now depending on how good chandelure does usually decides if im going to win the game or not. There have been times when i overestimated its bulk or underestimated my opponents attack power and chandelure is completely wiped out. Overheat is mainly for power. even without choice specs overheat does serious damage even resisted. Overheat is simply used to dent switch ins. Flamethrower is my main fire move here. Shadowball hurts if it hits for neutral and with a scarf its gotten me many kos on weakened pokemon and against faster frailer threats that thought i would switch. Energy ball is for those bulky waters as well as ground and rock

Rapid spin for spinning away hazards. Scald a good water move especially for a physical wall. Dragon tail for phasing. Toxic for walls. nothing to out of the ordinary about this blastoise. Unoriginal but effective.

The Ev spread lets swampert still hit pretty hard after rocks are up. Ice punch hurts Grass types that are always hurrying in to get an easy KO. Scald to burn and stab. also scald hits physical tanks harder. Earthquake for power as well as team coverage.

Megahorn and close combat are normal heracross. Shadow claw simply because i didnt feel like going to the move relearner and its the same thing as night slash. stone edge simply because my team lacks rock moves and is good for fire/flying types.
Mainly this team uses stealth rock and bulky hard hitting walls to wear down opponents. choice specs on chandelure failed massively due to its frailness and its multitude of weaknesses. The scarf works quite well on it. Depending on the team either chandelure or heracross punch holes while the other is used for revenge killing. Swampert and chandelure let the team down but mainly due to my error. If i play and predict right, everything seems to run smooth. IF not i find myself sweeping with zapados... Mew plays mind games during the team preview as well as sweeping late game and seeing that is so bulky it takes hits and can restore hp with giga drain and leftovers, Nasty plot on the switch and sweep. Blastoise deserves a special mention as it takes hits from all physical attacks well and dragon tailing switch ins is my past time :D Heracross handles dark types which is a shared weakness. i feel escavilier would fill the role a bit better for this team but id miss heracross's revenge killing/hole punching power which i love so much. with my walls wearing down many pokemon my two "revenge killers" can do work against a team. though only one survives the "hole punching" process.
This team struggles with survivability. bulky sweepers give this team trouble. I feel like wish support could work well but i dont know what to change. Ive ran into machamp spamming dynamic punch while running specs on chandelure. chandelure switched in for the rescue and was outsped and... was OHKO by stone edge and its been scarf ever since. Mew's set doesnt always seem to flow with the team yet it still does work often taking out 1-3 of my opponents pokemon or weakening several which is why i didnt change it to a support set.
not finding a safe switch against grass types hurts a lot.
Thank you in advance for rates! :D
