Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 144 SpD / 112 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Facade / Knock Off

[SET COMMENTS]

With Swords Dance, Gliscor is able to act as a bulky setup sweeper that can overwhelm defensive teams in mid- to late-game scenarios. This is because of the valuable resistances and immunities its typing affords, its bulk, and Poison Heal, allowing it to set up in front of common Pokemon such as Raging Bolt, Landorus-T, and Heatran. Facade allows Gliscor to hit Pokemon that resist or are immune to Earthquake such as Moltres, Rillaboom, and Zapdos. Alternatively, Knock Off hits Air Balloon Gholdengo, and can remove items from counters such as Dondozo and Corviknight to support its team. Roost allows Gliscor to challenge Pokemon it likes to switch in on such as Zapdos and Gholdengo more effectively. The EV spread uses 112 Speed EVs to outspeed maximum Speed Modest Heatran.

Swords Dance Gliscor fits best on bulky offense and balance structures due to its ability to set up on and remove passive Pokemon like Landorus-T, Clefable, and Toxapex, but it struggles against Pokemon with immediate offensive power such as Urshifu-R, Weavile, and Ogerpon-W. Ferrothorn and Toxapex are excellent defensive partners, as they are able to check Pokemon that threaten Gliscor like Ogerpon-W, Urshifu-R, and Weavile, forcing them to switch out. They are also able to set Stealth Rock, Spikes, and Toxic Spikes, which can grant Gliscor opportunities to switch in again due to its good matchup against entry hazard removal options such as Zapdos, Moltres and Landorus-T. Gliscor can struggle with some bulky Water-types like Dondozo and Alomomola, so the likes of Tapu Koko, Ogerpon-W and Raging Bolt are able to pressure these Pokemon. Gliscor also doesn't appreciate the pressence of bulky Grass-types like Ferrothorn and Rillaboom, so Moltres, Heatran, and Raging Bolt having the ability to threaten is appreciated. Powerful offensive options such as Kyurem, Terapagos, and Ogerpon-W can easily deal with Gliscor, so reliable defensive options that can switch in on these offensive threats like Ferrothorn, Gholdengo, and Mega Venusaur are valuable partners.

With Swords Dance, Gliscor is able to act as a Bulky setup sweeper that can overwhelm defensive teams in the mid to endgame due to it's strong typing with a valuable Ground and Electric immunity as well as being able to shrug off Toxics and use them as switch in opportunities due to it's Poison Heal ability <= would be better to talk about its bulk as well, how you can remove stuff like waterpon and kyurem and then win after nothing can really kill you easily - also it would help GP if you split this into two sentences. Earthquake can be used as a consistent STAB option that allow Gliscor to break through Steel types such as Gholdengo and Kingambit. no need to explain eq its just a STAB spammable Facade allows Gliscor to have a strong move to hit Pokemon that resist Gliscor's Earthquake give examples here + at least 1 flying example like zap or smt, Knock Off is an alternative option due to it's ability to hit Ghost types like Dragapult or Air Balloon variants of Gholdengo provide a calc for pult, since EQ does plenty to it already as well as being able to remove Items from common switch-ins such as Dondozo, Corviknight or Landorus-Therian to support it's team. Roost is to gain health back immediately rather than waiting a few turns, this allows it to challenge Choice Scarf Tapu Lele and Gholdengo more effectively. The EV spread makes use of 244 HP to maximise Poison Heal recovery, uses 112 Speed to outspeed max Speed Modest Heatran and 152 Special Defense allows Gliscor to setup Swords Dance on Volcarona and Clefable spd is a dump.
somewhere in this paragraph you can talk about how gliscor can 1v1 most special attackers like you wanted to say with the SpD EVs

Strong Psychic and Fairy types like Tapu Lele, Mega Diancie and Choice Specs Iron Crown are able to benefit from Gliscor's ability to remove Steel type Pokemon, in return they are able to break past threats such as Landorus-Therian and Dondozo allowing Gliscor to have more of an offensive presence. steel types arent really gonna stay in on you and get removed, at the most they would switch out as soon as they see SD. only exception to this is melm and thats because he can kill you with ice punch. Ferrothorn and Toxapex are excellent defensive partners as they are able to threaten and force Pokemon that threaten Gliscor <= examples!! even i dont know what youre talking about with this one to switch out as well as setting Stealth Rocks, Spikes and Toxic Spikes, which can grant Gliscor opportunities to switch in again how? talk about gliscors mu vs foggers/spinners if you want to say this and threaten the opposing team. Gliscor can struggle with some bulky Water types like Toxapex <= not really since it takes a massive chunk from +2 eq, Dondozo or Alomomola, so the likes of Tapu Koko, Kartana Ogerpon-W, and Raging Bolt are able to pressure these Pokemon and allow Gliscor to take advantage of this. talk about teammates for bulky grasses like rilla ferro, also switchins for offensive mons like waterpon kyurem terap etc that can easily kill you

This is due to it's strong typing with a valuable Ground and Electric immunity as well as being able to shrug off Toxics and use them as switch in opportunities due to it's Poison Heal ability. Thanks to Gliscor's good bulk, versatile typing and aforementioned Poison Heal it can set up in front of the common pokemon such as Heatran or Landourus-T, it's able to secure games once Ogerpon-W and Kyurem are removed. This is due to the valuable resistances and immunities its typing affords as well as its bulk coupled with Poison Heal, allowing it to set up in front of common Pokemon such as Raging Bolt, Landorus-T, and Heatran. in hindsight i think the "win once pon and kyu are removed" thing is intuitive for readers, i also removed a lot of the other dex info stuff that you put in Facade allows Gliscor to have a strong move to hit Pokemon that resist or are immune to Gliscor's Earthquake such as Moltres, Rillaboom and Zapdos, Knock Off is an alternative option due to it's ability to hit Ghost types like Dragapult or looking at the calcs its not a big difference since most pults run Z anyway Air Balloon variants of Gholdengo as well as being able to remove Items from common switch-ins counters such as Dondozo, and Corviknight or Landorus-Therian you can just set up and kill it ngl to support it's team. Roost is to gain health back immediately rather than waiting a few turns, this <= this was not properly implemented from the original check allows it to challenge most offensive Pokemon like Choice Scarf Tapu Lele and Gholdengo more effectively i kinda feel like roost doesnt even need to be mentioned... idk uty see what checker 2 says. The EV spread uses 112 Speed to outspeed max Speed Modest also from the original check Heatran and the remainder of the EVs invested into Special Defense allow Gliscor to challenge and setup Swords Dance on Volcarona and Clefable. original check also removed this

Swords Dance Gliscor fits best on <archetype> due to its ability to <kill stuff>, but it struggles against <stuff that kill you>. replace <>s accordingly, paragraph begins rather awkwardly so i thought it would be good to add a starting sentence Ferrothorn and Toxapex are excellent defensive partners as they are able to threaten and force Pokemon that threaten Gliscor like Melmetal, Tapu Lele or Weavile to switch out as well as being able Stealth Rocks, Spikes and Toxic Spikes, which can grant Gliscor opportunities to switch in again due to it's good matchup into hazard removal options such as Zapdos, Moltres and Landorus-T. Gliscor can struggle with some bulky Water types like Dondozo or Alomomola, so the likes of Tapu Koko, Ogerpon-W and Raging Bolt are able to pressure these Pokemon. Gliscor also doesn't appreciate the pressence of bulky Grass types such as Ferrothorn or Rillaboom, so Moltres, Heatran and Raging Bolt having the ability to remove them or force them to switch out is appreciated. Powerful offensive options such as Kyurem, Terapagos or Ogerpon-W who can all easily deal with Gliscor, so reliable defensive options that can switch in on these Offensive threats like Corviknight, Ferrothorn, Gholdengo or Mega-Venusaur are valuable partners for Gliscor.

Roost allows it to challenge most offensive Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Tapu Lele Feels a bit of a strange mention to me ngl you can say it gives it the longevity to check stuff it likes to switch into (zapdos for example). and Gholdengo more effectively. The EV spread uses 112 Speed to outspeed max Speed Modest Heatran.

Swords Dance Gliscor fits best on bulky offense and balance structres due to its ability to remove set up on and remove passive Pokemon like who? Pex is a good example you can also set up on most lando sets, but it struggles against Pokemon with immediate offensive Power such as Urshifu-R, Weavile, and Iron Valiant I wouldn’t say it struggles with Ival per say I think Ogerpon-W is a better mention here. Ferrothorn and Toxapex are excellent defensive partners as they are able to threaten and force check Pokemon that threaten Gliscor like Ogerpon-W, Urshifu-R, and Melmetal, Tapu Lele or Weavile to switch out as well as being able Stealth Rocks, Spikes and Toxic Spikes, which can grant Gliscor opportunities to switch in again due to it's good matchup into hazard removal options such as Zapdos, Moltres and Landorus-T.
