After a Swords Dance, Weavile transforms into extremely speedy threat that deals huge damage very quickly due to its already high Attack stat and a Speed stat that outspeeds almost any other foe in the metagame. Triple Axel lets Weavile knock out foes such as Tornadus-T and Hydrapple and, thanks to its ability to hit multiple times, clean up foes which can endure an OHKO such Ogerpon-C and, after a Swords Dance, Mimikyu, both of which could otherwise OHKO Weavile back. Alternatively, Icicle Crash can be used as a slightly more consistent STAB move while also avoiding contact, which prevents it from being punished by Rocky Helmet foes such as Cobalion and Skarmory. Knock Off removes annoying items such as Rocky Helmet and Leftovers from Toxapex and Heavy-Duty Boots from Keldeo while also threatening a lot of damage, bringing down foes such as Latios. Low Kick allows Weavile to remove slow foes that threaten it otherwise such as Tyranitar and, after a Swords Dance, Cobalion, Greninja, and Heatran. Ice Shard provides Weavile with priority, enabling it to pick off faster threats like Dragon Dance Salamence, Deoxys-S, and Hawlucha. Heavy-Duty Boots nullifies any attempts to wear down Weavile with entry hazards such as Stealth Rock. A Jolly nature allows Weavile to outspeed almost any fast threat in the meta such as Tornadus-T, Greninja, Ogerpon-C, and Latios. Tera Ghost allows Weavile to get around its quadruple weakness to Fighting-type moves and become immune to moves such as Mach Punch from Conkeldurr and Vacuum Wave from Keldeo. Other Tera type options include Dark and Ice, which are used to boost the output of Weavile's respective STAB moves. Tera Dark Knock Off OHKOes Skeledirge and Slowking after minor chip damage; Tera Ice Triple Axel OHKOes Clodsire, Sinistcha, and Mandibuzz after minor chip damage.
Swords Dance Weavile easily finds its spot in offense teams by providing quick setup and high damage output. Deoxys-S serves a great support role to Weavile by spreading entry hazards while also threatening opposing Fighting-type foes such as Galarian Zapdos and Keldeo. Skeledirge provides Weavile a safe switch-in to threatening foes such as Scizor, Lokix, and Tinkaton while also threatening Steel-types like Scizor and Skarmory. Slowking can switch into foes such as Excadrill and Metagross, which threaten a OHKO on Weavile, and its Chilly Reception provides a safe switch into Weavile, allowing it to set up when forcing out Pokemon like Sinistcha and Thundurus-T. Ogerpon is another great ally of Weavile that checks Keldeo and Rotom-W. Thundurus-T provides a fast offensive pivot through Volt Switch while also threatening Water-type foes such as Toxapex, Rotom-W and Manaphy that trouble Weavile.
