Sylveon is a excellent role-filler for any team in STABMons due to it's amazing movepool it gets from the Normal type. By pure virtue of it getting STAB Pixilate Boomburst through said typing , Sylveon can threaten the entirety of the metagame that doesn't resist Fairy. Court Change can automatically remove the need for your team to set hazards by using the enemy's hazards against them. Wish allows Sylveon to give a source of recovery to pokemon that can't get healing without leftovers. Finally , Protect can make a good combo with wish, allowing Sylveon to heal itself without risk of being vulnerable to attacks. Leftovers gives Sylveon passive healing so that it doesn't have to rely on Protect + Wish to heal itself. Pixilate turns Boomburst into a deadly STAB move as mentioned before, threatening everything that doesn't resist it. A Timid nature is used to make Sylveon as fast as possible so that it can sweep easier.

Sylveon struggles to break through walls such as opposing Sylveon , Corviknight , and Toxapex. Therefore , Pokemon which can break through these checks, such as Toxtricity, Rotom-H , and Indeedee can all help weaken or remove Sylveon's checks, allowing Sylveon to finish the sweep. Due to Sylveon's lackluster physical defense, slow pivots such as Bronzong and Type : Null are useful to enable Sylveon to come in more frequently. Finally, Pokemon that can deal with status easily, such as Espeon and Hatterene make good partners too, as Sylveon does not have room to run Heal Bell.
