Sylveon's Friendly Friends! (A Semi-Stall Team)

Eat that, Guildmaster Wigglytuff! >:)

This team was created simply to revolve around the loveable Sylveon! This team can be a shining example why Sylveon's services can be greatly appreciated in this metagame! The team of Sylveon, Mandibuzz, Aegislash, Rotom-W, Chestnaught, and Garchomp truly make some friendly friends!

EVs- 252 HP, 240 Def, 16 Spe
Moves- Hyper Voice/Wish/Heal Bell/Protect

Here we go, the biggest star and progenitor of this team! I know it might be unusual to start teambuilding with a wall, but I really wanted to try a wall that had a sense of offensive presence, so I thought, why not Sylveon? For a wall, this thing's Hyper Voice hits pretty hard, if I do say so myself. He is also a great check to Fighting types and Dragons, and he really does do a good job at making others ragequit with his infinite Wish-Protecting. Pure awesomeness in a Pokemon!

Ability-Overcoat
Nature-Impish
EVs- 248 HP, 216 Def, 44 SpD
Moves-Foul Play/Knock Off/Defog/Roost

After thinking of Sylveon, I wanted a Pokemon that can easily defeat Aegislash, one of Sylveon's biggest nightmares. Then I immediately thought Mandibuzz! Of course, for the sake of using Mandibuzz to the fullest, I decided to take advantage of her great Defog capabilities. Of course, in order for this move to synergize well, this would mean I would have to forfeit the use of entry hazards myself and add more power to this team if I wanted to get anywhere. But that's ok, that's one of the main reasons this team didn't end up being a full stall team. Foul Play has excellent Aegislash killing capability and in a 3DS battle, it hilariously OHKO'd a Mega Kanghaskhan that used Power-Up-Punch on me. As for Knock Off, I originally had Taunt, but I figured that there aren't many things that I'm taunting that the rest of the team didn't already deal with anyway; for example, I didn't need it against Aegislash, and I didn't need it too much against Ferrothorn or Blissey because Chestnaught already dealt with those two fairly decently. Besides, I personally feel Knocking Off Chansey's Eviolite is better than taunting it, not to mention the sheer annoyance Knock Off gives people, so I found this move more fun. And Roost is Roost.

Item-Leftovers
Ability-Stance Change
Nature-Quiet
EVs-252 HP, 252 SpA, 4 SpD
Moves-King's Shield/Shadow Ball/Shadow Sneak/Iron Head

With all the Aegislash bashing so far, you probably wouldn't expect it to be on my team, right? Well wrong! By the time I was done with Mandibuzz, I figured that I needed a Pokemon that can deal with opposing Fairy-types and check Scizor, so Aegislash was pretty much a given at that point. This Pokemon happens to deal decent damage to Steel-Types thanks to the recent lack of the Ghost resistance, so he also deals with those. This guy's Shadow Ball hits so hard, that I don't even want to know what kind of power he would if I ran Life Orb Aegislash. But I don't want to, because I feel that would compromise his bulk, and the point of me running King's Shield, which is to annoy physical attackers and rack up lefties recovery. I originally ran Flash Cannon instead of Iron head on this thing, but I figured that since I didn't want to be swept by Calm Minding fairies, I changed it, especially since my team can be Fairy-weak at times, even though I would miss the decent damage that Flash Cannon did to switch ins. The EV spread is pretty simple, and I didn't bother with any extra EVs to outrun minimum speed Tyranitar, since I feel that that's getting rare nowadays, not to mention I also made this EV spread with Level 50 3DS battles in mind, so meh.

Item-Leftovers
Ability-Levitate
Nature-Bold
EVs-252 HP, 72 Def, 180 Sp Def, 4 Spe
Moves-Volt Switch/Hydro Pump/Will-O-Wisp/Pain Split

Of course, with Aegislash came a new weakness to Fire-Type moves. I really wanted a decent switch-in to them, and remembering the fact that Talonflame, or blame, or shame is running around, I figured this thing can help annoy it to many places and back. Volt Switch is a standard scouting tool, and even though people try to have the slower Rotom, I prefer mine being faster, because with Volt-Switch I can force it to Rest range faster; if I dont want to swtich out, I'll simply burn the switch in sometimes, not to mention that my Sylveon can generally deal with Rotom. When they switch out with Rotom, healing will soon become more and more of a priority to them. Pain Split generally annoys Goodra switch-ins when I'm low on health, especially since I just Volt Switch out the following turn; and Hydro Pump is Hydro Pump. The EV spread was originally completely physically defensive, but I wanted to be able to deal with some special attackers and Sheer Force Landorus better, so I eventually changed the spread. Will-O-Wisp still helps with physical attackers, though.

Item-Leftovers
Ability-Bulletproof
Nature-Impish
EVs- 252 HP, 216 Def, 4 Sp Def, 36 Spe
Moves-Spiky Shield/Leech Seed/Hammer Arm/Roar

This guy, can be amazing at times. This guy was considered because I wanted a better Breloom check, a Chansey check, a Mega Gyarados Check, and an Excadrill switch-in. And Chestnaught happened to fill a stall role as well. This guy can be a physical juggernaught (pun intended), racking up damage with Spiky Leech, and hitting decently hard with Hammer Arm. Now I know Roar seems weird, considering that I don't have any entry hazards, but it really can do a good job of phazing physical set up sweepers, and it helps against Baton Pass teams. The Speed EVs are to outspeed Exploud, and minimum base 65's, more importantly, Scizor, which can be helpful sometimes.

Item- Choice Scarf
Ability- Rough Skin
Nature-Jolly
EVs- 4 HP, 252 Att, 252 Spe
Moves-Dragon Claw/Earthquake/Stone Edge/Fire Blast

Here it is, my "Revenge Killer!" Why do I need a revenge killer, you ask? Well, it's always helpful to outspeed and quickly remove +1 boosting threats such as Volcarona, so I choose Garchomp because of her nice type combo and Attack. Fire Blast may seem weird with a Jolly nature, but I feel she gets the same 2HKO's I would personally need, and the extra bulk has saved me in many matches when I didn't have the opportunity to heal with Sylveon.

So there you have it, that's my team! I've been using it to a great degree of success, so let me hear your opinions below! :)

Wow this is a pretty good team which takes into consideration type synergy and the ability to check top tier threats. Good job! However, I think a major problem is the lack of entry harzard setters and the only defogger being mandibuzz. If your team is a HO team, it won't be too bad since you will be playing quickly and aggressively. However, your team seems more balanced to semi stall, meaning mandibuzz will be taking lots of residual damage and thus be prone to being worn down. Other than that its a pretty solid team so keep up the good work!
