Team at a Glance:
The Lead
Nature: Relaxed
Item: Leftovers
EV's: 240 Hp // 216 Def // 52 Sp.Atk
-Earthquake
-Ice Beam/Avalanche
-Hydro Pump
-Stealth Rock
Standard Mixpert set, solid enough lead. Sets up stealth rock, does what he can. He works, and he's pretty awesome, two things I like alot. I'm in the testing process of avalanche from the suggestion of overcast, which makes a lot of sense. Electric immunity goes well with gyarados, for any threats electivire wouldn't be able to take care of. Hydro pump over surf just for the sheer power, i'm generally pretty lucky with the accuracy of it. Grass is the only weakness here, so it's easy to predict when he needs to switch, generally to latias, but if something is using grass knot or an attack weaker, i'll go to infernape. Combos in a sense with most of the team reasonably well; Latias/infernape for grass attacks, switch-in for gyara for threats electivire can't handle, and rotom-H is his spin blocker.
The Demolition Man
Nature: Naive
Item: Life Orb
EV's: 252 Sp.atk // 192 Speed // 64 Atk
-Fire Blast
-Close Combat
-Grass Knot
-Hidden Power {ice}
Quite possibly my favorite pokemon. Great design asthetically and in technical ability. I went for Hidden Power over nasty plot because more often then not, my opponent will switch to something like salamence, who walls the standard mixape completely. HP ice OHKO's him, so all i have to do is keep hp hidden for the longest time possible. Combos with Swampert to switch in on weaker grass attacks, lets gyarados, Rotom-H, or latias get a free switch in on a ground attack, and gyara can take physical water threats and latias will take the special ones, Latias also takes special (pretty much all) psychic attacks very well,
Bulky Sweep
Nature: Adamant
Item: Leftovers
EV's: 156 HP // 108 Atk // 100 Def // 144 Speed
-Waterfall
-Stone Edge
-Dragon Dance
-Taunt
I flat out love this Gyarados. One of the most well thought out spreads ever, and it is incredibly effective. The set itself is standard, though i might consider something over stone edge, just a thought, though i'm not sure what move yet. Combos most obviously with Electivire, but also with Swampert and infernape as previously stated, and latias, who fears bug attacks especially megahorn, and since there are alot of choice heracross' out there, it'll end up forcing the switch.
The Electric Engine
Nature: Mild
Item: Expert Belt
EV's: 252 Sp.Atk // 36 Atk // 220 Speed
-Thunderbolt
-FlameThrower
-Hidden Power {Grass}
-Cross Chop
Electivire is fun. I'm not saying he's the best pokemon out there, we all know he isn't, but he is a lot of fun. Classic synergy with Gyarados provides the easy boost. HP grass is for swampert who walls him completely otherwise. Prediction is the best thing I can do with him to get him out with the boost. Even without the boost, he proves to be quite good. Ground being the only weakness makes it easy to predict on when he needs to get out, so a switch to gyarados, latias, or rotom-H gives me a switch with quite a few options.
The Little Helper
Nature: Bold
Item: Leftovers
EV's: 252 HP // 168 Def // 88 Speed
-Discharge
-Shadowball
-Overheat
-Will-O-Wisp
Keeps stealth rock up for Swampert, and he's a bamf. Status is really nice, so Discharge over thunderbolt, and Will-o-wisp is fun stuff. Three immunities is so amazing, great switch-in ability. Combos with swampert as his spin blocker, with infernape and electivire to get a free switch,
The Motherly Figure
Nature: Timid
Item: Leftovers
EV's: 128 HP // 128 Sp.Atk // 252 Speed
-Dragon Pulse
-Wish
-Protect
-Surf
i wanted a deffensive oriented team support pokemon, who could fight a little bit too. Latias was the answer. Wish is great team support as none of my pokemon have a recovery move, so it helps. protect helps her scout for choicers and lets wish heal herself. fun stuff in general. Surf hits heatran for 50% making whoever decides to take him's job much easier. Combos well with alot of the team, but thats been coveredm no sense in repeating. I'm considering an alternative nature, like bold, to make her more deffensive not sure if it's worth it or neccesary, any thoughts on that?
thats the team. Constructive critisism is greatly appreciated. First team ive put some thought into and actually posted on here, so just remember that lol.
