Synergy, Way OU

INTRO
Alot of people dont like the new metagame. I do. This is a revised Synergy Team I created, and takes advantage of alot of the OU mongors. It works very well for me, so Im looking for other opinions on it. Theres two Pokemon for the last slot, since the first 5 are what complement each other. Thats another thing I need opinions on.

Well, here it is up close.

GYARADOS @ Leftovers
Adamant
Intimidate
156 HP / 108 Atk / 100 Def / 144 Spe
- Dragon Dance
- Taunt
- Waterfall
- Earthquake

I use this as my lead mainly because I love Tauntrados. Its bulkiness allows it to DD on anything which doesnt hit it with Electric (It can actually survive a Machamps Tpunch even with a Tpunch, assuming Intimidate, but just barely). As this is a bulky set its meant for longevity, which is why EQ is used over SE. I also dont really like the meh accuracy. DD'd Waterfalls are just plain scary. This counters leads like Hippo, Bronzong (the now less popular Ape) and anything just slow. Dragon Dance is a great thing, period.

But alas, Jolteon, Porygon2 etc etc beat this thing into the ground. So, I needed something that could take the Electric shit. Sup Jolteon

135-3.png

Statik (Jolteon) @ Choice Specs
Timid
Volt Absorb
4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
- Thunderbolt
- HP Ice
- Shadow Ball
- Baton Pass

I bring this in to absorb and save Gyarados. Jolteon strikes fear into any opponent with its Thunderbolt. This leads me to almost always predict the switch, and if Im feeling ballzy Ill go HP Ice, honestly I dont know why but it works. Otherwise Ill take the easy way out and Pass it back to Gyarados. It normally will be coming out early game so it wont recieve any HP benefits from VA, but a free switch in is much appreciated. Ive had immense success using this thing, including sweeps. It has great coverage and is my favorite Special Sweeper.

Next in the developement I wanted a Physical Sweeper. LOL O HAY SCIZOR

212-3.png

O-Z Slide (Scizor) @ Choice Band
Adamant
Technician
248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
- Bullet Punch
- U-Turn
- Pursuit
- Superpower

Yeah, the #1 OU threat. Ive tried alot of sets, and Banded normally works. It his everything hard, and is a really great scouter. It can also force the switch, which is why I have Pursuit. Bullet Punch pretty selfexplanatory. Tech Stab and Band boost are gonna blast through everything. Superpower for most normal walls (Bliss P2 blah blah) U-turn for scouting and Celebi. This thing sweeps, hands down. But its 4x Fire Weakness kills.

Solution? Heatran.

485-3.png

Vulcan (Heatran) @ Choice Specs
Modest
Flash Fire
40 HP / 252 SpA / 216 Spe
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- HP Grass
- Dragon Pulse
TBH This is really only here for protecting Scizor. It does a great job with all Dragons, the some pesky waters like Vaporeon etc, Rhyperior blah blah. Fire Blast stab is crazy strong esp when it hits. Earth Power picks off Fires and TTar (HP Grass works here too). Im very open to advice for this set.

I needed a wall. Especially one that can jell with the team. Vaporeon is great for walling, benefits from water attacks aimed at Heatran, and has both weaknesses covered for by Heatran and Jolteon.

134.png

VAPOREON @ Leftovers
Bold
Water Absorb
188 HP / 252 Def / 68 Spe
- Baton Pass
- Wish
- HP Electric
- Surf

Wish support. Goes great for Walling and taking out things that want to come in on Heatran. Its stabed surf is great for taking out other Heatrans, among popular Fires Ground, etc. Skarm is kept at bay. Wish is to heal up anything that was damaged in the game and is for late support.

Now the last spot is reserved between two spot. A Spinner and a Physical/Mix Attacker.

Trees FORRETRESS @ Focus Sash
Relaxed
Sturdy
----will edit in the evs, gotta ask him (prob wont know though) or someone whod remember----
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Explosion

Yeah, Trees Fortty. Its a pretty clever set. I bring this in normally on the revenge. Most people will try to set up a sweeper on it, so get the SR up on the switch out. Next get down at least one layer of spikes if its a stat up brand of Pkmn like I expected. I can then either risk another layer of Spikes, or gtfo and Explode, Hopefully eliminating or taking a big chunk out of a threat. Scizor or something faster can then come in and ko.

----Possible Fort. replacement----

MACHAMP @ Leftovers
Adamant
No Guard
252 Att / 252 HP / 6 Def
- Dynamic Punch
- Thunder Punch
- Ice Punch
- Fire Blast

I like the randomness of this set. Fire Blast still roasts Skarm, Scizor and all Steels. DynamicPunch is great. T/I punches are for great coverage.

So, Rate.

Use Forretress in the last spot imo. But if you want to use Machamp you can always use Payback or Stone Edge as other move choices. But I told you that on skype already.

Def. use Forretress, you're running three Choice pokemon and are going to be doing alot of switching most likely, Rapid Spin support is needed as common as SR is.

The team is well balanced and put together. However I'm questioning why you'd put fire blast on machamp. I know full well that it pretty much roasts everything that thinks it can boast against machamp but with the low base Sp. Atk and no ev investment you not getting very far with it.

The Machamp has a 31 in Sp.Att, and even with its mediocre Sp.A stat, the high base power + No Guard ensures me a 2hko on Skarm. And its so fucking random

I think Jiji or someone developed that set* and Jim sucked his dick for it :D I got my hands on one after it demolished an older team I had

That's pretty cool considering the Sp. Atk stat. I'm liking machamp more and more for some reason. lol. Yea this team pretty solid.

I do see now that your using all three forms of choice. Sure that's a good idea? You have three pokemon only sticking to one move. You'll need to have great prediction in order to use three choiced pokemon successfully.

I might switch out CB for SD Scizor. Heatran is in the air, Im not experienced with him so advice in his field is much appreciated.

OK, Isn´t a good idea to switch your jolteon´s choice specs into a life orb with the moves thunderbolt, HP ice/grass, shadow ball, and charge beam.
It´s the best to kill a weakened foe with charge beam (hopefully getting a sp atk boost). If everything has worked then you can sweep with a sp atk of 621 (after only one boost). Just give it a try

Bump. Im thinking of putting a Physically Defensive Zapdos in the last spot

145-3.png

Pachuka (ZAPDOS) @ Leftovers
Bold
Pressure
248 HP / 228 Def / 32 Spe
- Thunderbolt
- Heat Wave
- HP Ice
- Roost

this gives me Special/Physical Walling, but now I only have 2 Physical Sweepers along with 4 Special, and it seems a little Unbalanced. Any suggestions?

I also switched to RestTalk Heatran, works well.

I'd at least consider running Sub/Dynamic Punch/Stone Edge/Payback on Machamp. The only pokemon that can really switch in are dusknoir and gliscor neither of which is on most teams.
