Other Tailwind Doubles Team

Hi Smogon! First off, I am new to actual competitive battling. But, I decided it's time to make one and go into battle spot or something and have a little fun. Since I am new to this, I am planning taking it on battle spot and probably nothing else. Anyways, I am making a doubles team revolving around tailwind. Right now it lacks offense, but I am getting there.

First, I needed a Tailwind setter, obviously, and I thought Togekiss would be a good option because it's bulky and Follow Me is useful.

Togekiss @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 248 HP / 192 Def / 68 SpD
Calm Nature
- Follow Me
- Air Slash
- Tailwind
- Roost

This is what is recommended, and I hate to copy exactly, but I like it.

Next, I thought a Dual Screen user would be nice, as it lets all my Pokemon set up with not much fear.

Azelf @ Light Clay
EVs: 176 HP / 80 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Taunt
- Last Resort

Now, this might seem a little weird, but I want to be creative. Azelf is fast, it can set up the screens and with light clay my team can take hits and set up for several rounds. Azelf has taunt to prevent trick room, and it can stop opponents from inflicting status on my team. Now, since reflect, light screen, and taunt are going to be used most likely all together, I decided Last Resort should be its fourth move. Azelf has decent attack and I'd rather not sacrifice it with explosion.

Next, I wanted a Mega. I decided Mega Mawile is a powerful Pokemon, and under TW it can hit first.

Mawile @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 180 Atk / 40 Def / 36 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Knock Off
- Substitute
- Baton Pass

Once again, a little different. This is kind of what I meant by setting up. With a tailwind and dual screens, it can set up a sub, attack, and then baton pass when it is threatened, all without much penalty. Knock Off is used over Sucker Punch because Sucker Punch can be predicted and I am not good at predicting the opponent either.

Lumineon @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 208 HP / 252 Def / 48 Spe
Bold Nature
- Defog
- Attract/Charm
- Scald
- Ice Beam/Tailwind/Protect

Ok, I know what you are thinking. This Pokemon is terrible, why this? Well, basically it's a nuisance. Unless I go against an OU team it can take a few hits, and with charm or attract it will probably want to make the opponent attack Lumineon so it is rid of that problem. Scald is useful, a burn is helpful to cripple offensive enemies. Defog is useful to get rid of entry hazards, which my team does not appreciate. I could probably use protect, so if Lumineon does become the target, it is safe for a round. I think it is a nice, little, fun approach. Remember, I'm not planning on being super competitive.

Now, I thought I could use more speed control, and that t-wave could be helpful so that I am not absolutely dependent on tailwind. Thundurus, Zapdos, and Rotom Wash all went into consideration. I think, for overall coverage of my team, Zapdos is best (?)

Zapdos @ Idk
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 144 SpA / 112 Spe
Modest or Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power Ice
- Heat Wave
- Tailwind

This is what is recommended for Zapdos. Again, I hate to copy, but I think a different item or a timid nature is useful (maybe a yache berry or the rock resist berry?). Thundurus is probably better. But I don't want to use it, really. It's used on so many teams. I think Zapdos is a good attacker, has fair coverage, and can set up tailwind if needed. Thunder wave can be an option for one of it's moves.

Now, is the hardest part. I needed something. Again, I am not experienced, so I have no idea what can hold this team all together. Do I need more offense? I probably need a thunder wave user. Do I need a will-o-wisp user? Should I have another mega in case, if Mawile is not a good choice? What type does my team not do well against? Fairy, Ghost, Ground, Rock and Grass, while not huge threats all by theirselves, are a problem for at least one of my members. I needed something. I decided, hey, maybe a ghost type, with some form of a status move, would be useful. With tailwind, and possibly dual screens if Azelf can set them up, speed and defenses are not a incredibly major problem.

Banette @ Banettite
Ability: Insomnia
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Destiny Bond
- Knock Off/Sucker Punch
- Thunder Wave/Will-O-Wisp
- Shadow Claw

This is what I came up with. It can be used similarly to Mawile, has decent offense, and I probably need a status move.

So, let me know what you guys think. I would love any suggestions. If something is wrong, please tell me. Once again, I am new at this. This team is not going to VGC, probably not even rating battle for a while. I think it can be an effective doubles team, I just need practice.

that mode that you choose when you want to do a battle spot battle
Ya okay. Can't say much now but Defog isn't necessary as well as 3 Tailwind setters. Awesome team BTW. Lumineon is sadly outclassed by other waters like Milotic and Suicune however you could try it out. Also azelf isn't that great IMO

What would you recommend in place of Defog and in place of Azelf? Thanks for liking the team :)

A could support mon is Cresselia over Azelf. Probably Protect over defog. Me or someone else can help you more tomorrow have to go to bed but it is a cool team.

Yeah, I think Cresselia would be good. I like the speed on Azrlf, but Cresselia is probably better. Only problem is, I can never get Crescent Isle to show up. Haha. Thanks!

Okay here I'll give you some info. Baton Pass isn't that great on Mawile and should probably be replaced with Play Rough. I would go with Iron Head over Substitute but if you are really weak o burns it is your call. Another thing I might try is make this a TailRoom team however I'm not the best at making those teams so maybe someone else could help you with that. To do that I recommend running Cresselia with Trick Room, Psychic, Ice Beam/Light Screen, Helping Hand/Reflect. I recommend the other two but screens are nice. Now I would maybe replace Lumineon with Expert Belt Gastrodon as it can it harder. I can give you a spread if you want as I said I'm not the best but can help a bit.

I already have Play Rough on my Mawile but I will switch out Baton Pass for Iron Head. Right now I like Lumineon. Only Pokemon I am not finding useful at the moment is Azelf. I'll take Cresselia into consideration. Thanks.

Oh facepalm ment protect. The only problem is Lumineon is kinda outclassed but it has Storm Drain but since you don't really need more support I think Gastrodon is better imo.
