SM OU Tapu Koko Volt Turn

Hi, it's me again, some people knew me before, i want you to see this team that i made a few time ago, if you see the title you'll notice that this team is a Volt Turn with Tapu Koko, hope you like it.

First anything, Tapu Koko is my favorite Pokemon in Gen 7, so i wanted to make a team around it, high speed, good typing combination and the ability to summon a Electric Terrain makes it perfect for a Volt Turn due it can learn Volt Switch and U-Turn.

Tapu Koko can't deal with everything, Grass Types and Special Walls are a huge problem to it. Scizor makes an excelent work dealing with those walls and even can take most of the attacks of threats like Mega Metagross, however some Grass Types like Venusaur can run HP Fire.

I decided to add Landorus because Ground Type Attacks might me a problem for Tapu Koko and Scizor, also Heatran is a Problem, so Landorus can take it down, i needed a Stealth Rock setter too and Landorus helps too much, even can take many threats down with a Z-Move.

Fire types still were being a problem, Water Types deals very well with them, Greninja isn't banned anymore like in ORAS, so now it makes a great job in the metagame, however it is very fragile.

Hazards might have been a problem, Latios is still an excelent Hazard Remover, so i decided to use it in the team, also it has a Ground Inmunity, many resist and is a good special attacker and now we have a Dragon-Fairy-Steel core.

Steel Types like Scizor and Ferrothorn, Pheromosa and some Fairy Types that can have HP Fire are a big trouble, Gen 7 brought us the Alolan Forms, Marowak is one of the best Alolan Form in the gane, Excelent Typing and its Lightingrod make it an excelent wall for Pokemon such as Magnezone and all of the Pokemon that has been mentioned above, also with a Thick Club turns it into a Powerful Pokemon.

The base of the team, Electric Surge summons a Electric Terrain that strengs Electric Type Moves and Magnet makes it doesn't have many Switches bar Chansey and Ground Types, however many of those Ground Types are super weak to Ice Type Moves, so HP Ice deals with them, next Volt Switch take advantage of Electric Terrain and keeps momentum, U-Turn is used to those Pokemon that are inmune to Electric moves, 252 SpA and 252 Spe with Timid Nature help to outspeed anything that are slower than it and the 4 Evs in Atk are put to deal just a little more damage with U-Turn, how useful.

This Pokemon works as a wall to Pokemon such as Tapu Bulu and as a Win condition with Swords Dance, Roost is for some longevity in the battle, Bullet Punch is the best move that Scizor can have because is a STAB move and with Technician boost it by 50%, though in this gen Psychic Terrain don't let it shine, U-Turn is the Second STAB that is used to keep momentum, The EV spread is bulkier to take most of the attacks, Light Metal is used as the first ability to take better the Low Kicks.

It was one of the best Pokemon in ORAS OU and now it's back in the new Metagame but now the Z-Moves were released, With the Rockium Z turns its Stone Edge into a Continental Crush with 180 base power, breaking many walls like Skarmory, opposing Landorus Therian with +1 on attack, Celesteela, etc, Stealth Rock deals a residual damage on the opposing team, so it must be carried, Swords Dance helps it to deal a lot of damage, Earthquake is the main STAB and with a +2 in attack there are no guaranted switch in bar the Ground Inmunitys or Unawares, Adamant Nature with 252 Atk and 252 Spe is because this set is more offensive than defensive.

Once Uber, now OU, with Protean and Life Orb is a great Wallbreaker, Ice Beam is used to deal with Dragon Types, especially Garchomp and those Pokemon that are very weak to Ice, Gunk Shot for Fairy Types like Tapu Fini which is one of the best switches against Greninja, Hydro Pump deals with Fire Types and it's the most powerful move in the set, Hidden Powe Fire helps with Ferrothorn and other Steel Types, Naive Nature and 252 SpA and 252 Spe makes it too fast and powerful, outspeeding Pokemon like Dugtrio and Metagross.

It is still being a great Pokemon in this game, one of its best jobs is the Hazards Removing with Defog, with Life Orb deals too much Damage with its STABS, Draco Meteor is the most Powerful move that it has, Psyshock is for those Special Walls, next is Recover which makes it last longer in battle, Timid Nature and the EV Spread are used to outspeed everything that are slower than 110 base speed.

With the alolan form, Marowak was turned into a great Fire Type Pokemon, also it's a Ghost Type, making it perfect to wall Electric Types such as Magnezone with Lightning Rod, Fight Types like Pheromosa and Fairy Types like Magearna, Shadow Bone is the Ghost STAB that doesn't take damage of Rocky Helmet, Fire Punch is the Fire STAB and it is prefered over Flare Blitz because this move does not have recoil, Bonemerang breaks Heatran and hurts Pokemon like Tyranitar, Will-O-Wisp burns, helping to deal with Pokemon like Landorus-T, Adamant Nature and EV Spread with Thick Club make it a powerful Pokemon as i said in the teambuilding process.

Gyarados Mega with Dragon Dance breaks the whole team with +1 boost, Landorus-T can drop its attack and Scizor can beat it with U-Turn, however the last mention can't deal with it if it doesn't mega evolve and starts to boost.

Especially Ash Greninja means a huge trouble for the team, the only safe switch is Greninja, however it isn't a bulky pokemon and it lacks of recovery, Tapu Koko and Latios can switch into a Dark Pulse and Hydro Pump respectivily.

This is not a big trouble, however it's a great wallbreaker, the scarf variant with HP Fire is the hardest set to deal with it, you can scout its attacks, the other variants aren't hard to defeat them.

Hi there cool team. I noticed that Choice Scarf Tapu Lele can really be annoying for this team to deal with. With its incredible Speed it outspeeds everything on this team, and with coverage in HP Fire it can easily hit Mega Scizor really hard on the switch meaning it can't really do anything after that. Other than that, this team is really good so here are my suggested changes.

My first change would be to run Heatran over Marowak-A. Reason being, Heatran provides you with a solid way of switching into Tapu Lele without playing the 50/50 whether they would HP Fire or Moonblast. Heatran is also a good way to pressure stall which this team could have had trouble with. The main thing Heatran does vs stall is get rid of a mon and bait in Dugtrio, which gives Landorus-T a free setup which after a boost completely destroys stall. You could say Marowak-A does this job better, but Heatran can also getup Stealth Rock vs Stall which many things fail to do with the popularity of Mega Sableye. Heatran can also trap Celesteela and Skarmoy which are both lured in by Scizor-Mega, and can also lure Tapu Fini which pressures Ash Greninja. Marowak-A won't be too bad to replace because of the addition of Ash Greninja, the Pheromosa weakness won't be too notable, and Heatran is still a powerful wallbreaker in its own regard. Landorus-T can also run RP now with the addition of Heatran

If you read the above paragraph you would know that I chose to replace Greninja, with Ash Greninja. There are several reasons for this, the first being it provides you with a way of dealing with Pheromosa. With the removal of Marowak-Alola, Pheromosa can tear through this team as your only real answer is Mega Scizor which takes a ton from HJK/ Focus Blast and doesn't even OHKO with Bullet Punch. Ash Greninja however, can easily KO Pheromosa from full even in its pre ash forme and also provide you with another wall breaker. Ash Ninja also gives you a U-Turner forming the Volt-Turn core alongside Tapu Koko giving many free switches to Heatran, and Landorus-T. This makes your team a lot weaker to AV Tangrowth, and Tapu Fini so its important to play smart with your Heatran and Tapu Koko to be able to trap those things so Ash Greninja can clean up.

Also, I don't think this team doesn't need Defog too much since there isn't anything weak to sr, and you can punish spike users with koko + heatran, so running Thunder> Defog on Latios could be another way for you to lure in Tapu Fini. Thunder can also help vs Skarmory which counter variants can beat your Landorus-T.

Opposing Tapu Koko now becomes a huge threat to this team. With its incredible speed and offensive coverage it can hit everything on this team really hard. To counterplay this, you have to be able to get your Ash Greninja in Ash form and preferably never lock yourself into Dark Pulse unless you need to say vs a weakened Charizard-Y. Heatran is able to take a hit so also try to put yourself in a Heatran vs Koko situation a lot, or weaken it with Scizor's BP and putting it in range of Ash Greninja's Water Shuriken.
