[OVERVIEW]

Thanks to the ability to automatically set up Psychic Terrain with Psychic Surge, Tapu-Lele is a great support pokemon and pivots in the metagame. Tapu-Lele usually is switched in either to block priority moves such as Fake Out, or its comes in to power up a Psychic-type moves such as Expanding Force. These traits allow Tapu-Lele to fit on either Psyspam Hyper Offense with Necrozma, or Semiroom teams with Amoonguss since Psychic Terrain allows Tapu Lele to fire off uncontested Spores. Things aren’t as smooth as sailing though, its speed tier crucially leaves Tapu Leleoutsped by Kartana and Urshifu-R, and Tapu-Lele struggles against them due to its physical defense, and Tapu Lele is also outspeed by Tailwind users such as Zapdos and the aforementioned Kartana, making it so that Tapu-Lele has to run a significant amount of bulk to do its job, which cuts into its power, not to mention that Tapu-Lele is completely walled by Metagross and Heatran. This can be somewhat amended by pokemon such as its own form of speed control such as Trick Room, or Tailwind setters such as Kartana and Zapdos, and teammates such as Zygarde and Urshifu-R can beat Tapu Lele’s counters.

[SET]
name:
move 1: Psychic
move 2: Moonblast
move 3: Taunt
move 4: Protect
item: Sitrus Berry
ability: Psychic Surge
nature: Timid
evs: 252 HP / 40 Def / 64 SpA / 152 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

* Psychic is powered up by Psychic Terrain and its hits Pokemon such as Amoonguss and Urshifu-R for super effective damage.

* Moonblast is able to hit Dark and Dragon-types like Tyranitar, Galarian Moltres, Zygarde, and Kyurem-B for super effective damage.

* Taunt allows Tapu-Lele to block status moves such as Diancie’s and Porygon 2’s Trick Room, Bulky Zapdos’s Tailwind, and Blastoise’s Follow Me.

* Protect allows Tapu-Lele to let its partner reposition, target Tapu-Lele’s checks, and set up speed control.

* 152 Speed EVs and a Timid Nature lets Tapu-Lele outspeed Adamant Zygarde, and 252 HP and 40 Def lets Tapu Lele avoid the 2HKO from Choice Band Thousand Arrows in conjunction with Sitrus Berry. The rest of the EVs are dumped into Special Attack.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Choice Specs and Choice Scarf boosts Tapu-Lele’s power and speed respectively, but it prevents Tapu Lele from switching its move, Pixie Plate boosts its Moonblast, but it isn’t a big Power boost, and Life Orb boosts its power without Choice-locking it, but it cuts into Tapu-Lele’s longevity even more than the other 3 items, not to mention that with the above items its not doing its main job of setting Psychic Terrain.

Make sure it is always "Tapu Lele" throughout your analysis.
Also: Galarian Zapdos, Galarian Moltres, Choice Specs all need to be fixed.

[OVERVIEW]
  • The first sentence should focus on Psychic Surge and not how it's "one of the best offensive presences in the DOU metagame," since that's not really true. Automatic Psychic Terrain -- powers up teammates // protects them from priority // removes other Terrains -- is why Tapu Lele is used. Talk about how it pivots in-and-out to reset Terrain and support its teammates. This is the most important change I would like to see.
  • "Thanks to its already great power, it can invest a good amount of bulk to live attacks while not sacrificing too much power." I would just remove this sentence, since the reason Tapu Lele has Sitrus Berry and a decent amount of defensive investment is so it can pivot in-and-out multiple times to reset the Terrain.
  • Once you do the 1-2 overview sentences (i.e. what makes Tapu Lele, Tapu Lele), I would then focus on structures its seen success on. These are either Psychic Spam Hyper Offense (w. Necrozma) or Semiroom (w. Amoonguss).
  • Reword the first drawbacks sentence a bit -- Heatran and Metagross mentions are good, but I would specifically mention how Tapu Lele is slower than threats such as Kartana, Urshifu-R (which you can use to flow into the weak physically defensive part) and well as all relevant Tailwind setters (Kartana, Zapdos). Furthermore, Tapu Lele is honestly not that strong, especially with no boosting item, only 64 SpA EVs, and how common opposing Terrain Control is, so I would mention that too.
  • Incineroar doesn't really check Heatran, so I would use a different example like Urshifu-R or Zygarde.
  • Just say how Tapu Lele powers up Expanding Force and prevents Fake Out, no need to worry how Necrozma's Earth Power coverage.
  • Mention Amoonguss as a partner, since Psychic Terrain lets it fire off uncontested Spores.
[SET]
  • Remove the double space in-between the EVs and [SET COMMENTS] lines. Also name it Bulky Taunt (or Psychic Terrain setter for all I care).
  • Psychic line is a bit clunky, I would just say something like "Psychic is powered up by Psychic Terrain and hits Pokemon such as Amoonguss and Urshifu-R for super effective damage." or something cleaner like that. You don't need to mention that it's Psychic-type STAB since readers know that.
  • Same about Moonblast, you don't need to say how it's Fairy-type STAB. Instead, focus on how it hit Dragon- and Dark-types for super effective damage. Make sure your examples are in order (i.e. if you mention Dragon-types first, then the Dragon type Pokemon should be mentioned first) and use like Kyurem-B, Zygarde, Dragapult, Tyranitar, and Galarian Moltres as examples (this might be a bit long though idk, probably can cut out the last one).
  • Taunt line needs to be expanded upon -- say how it can stop Trick Room setters (Diancie, Porygon2), as well as set-up (Calm Mind Tapu Fini) and Follow Me (Blastoise). Examples, examples, examples.
  • Needs to be a space between * and your first word in the Protect line. Also what you're saying it not a grammatically correct sentence at the moment -- reword to talk about how Protect lets your partner reposition, set up Speed Control, and target down one of Tapu Lele's checks.
  • Reword the EV line -- "152 Speed EVs and a Timid Nature outspeeds Adamant Zygarde, while 252 HP and 40 Def lets it avoid the 2HKO from Choice Band Thousand Arrows in conjunction with Sitrus Berry. The rest of the EVs are dumped into Special Attack." Right now it's not very clear what "specifically check Zygarde is" so you need to be a lot more direct to the point.
[OTHER OPTIONS]
  • Say how Choice Specs / Scarf boost Tapu Lele's Special Attack / Speed, how Life Orb increases general damage output, and how Pixie Plate boosts Moonblast, and then get into how the first two don't let you switch moves, Life Orb wears down Tapu Lele quickly, Pixie Plate is not a significant boost, and how all three items cut into Tapu Lele's longevity greatly. Basically, all the items are good for the same reason (power), and also not used for the same reason (cut into bulk).
  • You can also mention how without the defense investment and Sitrus Berry, Tapu Lele can't take Choice Band Surging Strikes from Urshifu-R as an example.
LMK when implemented.

Make sure it is always "Tapu Lele" throughout your analysis.
[OVERVIEW]
  • After mentioning how Tapu Lele works on either Necrozma Psychic Spam or Amoonguss Semiroom, I would get into more general partners such as Urshifu-R (loves Grassy Glide not having priority and in return kills Steel-types) and Heatran (kills Rillaboom and other Steel-types).
  • The drawbacks to Tapu Lele sentence runs for way too long and needs to be cut into shorter bits.
    • I would make the first sentence about how its outsped by hard hitters (Kartana, Urshifu-R) and subsequently at risk as being KOd, as well as Tailwind setters (Kartana, Zapdos) so you can't Taunt them.
    • Then I would go into how Tapu Lele is generally not that strong (especially since changing terrain is so common and easy) and is walled by common Steel-types (Heatran, Metagross). You can also throw in that since Tapu Lele needs to invest a lot into its Defenses to be a better pivot, there's not many EVs left for Special Attack.
[SET]
  • Name the set "Psychic Terrain Pivot" and if that's too long someone can change it later.
  • Like I said before, remove the Double Space after the EVs line and before the first bullet point.
  • In the Psychic line, talk about how you still likely 2HKO Kartana despite the resistance.
  • In the Moonblast line, add how in conjunction with Psychic, Tapu Lele can hit every type for at least neutral damage besides Steel.
  • Non Max Speed Zapdos doesn't exist anymore, so I would remove that entire mention. Unfortunately, you don't get to Taunt any Tailwind setters (outsped by Kartana / Zapdos / etc.) so just stick with Trick Room and Follow Me for now. Maybe you can add about how you can catch faster Tailwind setters on the switch (and include examples!)
[OTHER OPTIONS]
  • Again, please split up the sentences.
    • First sentence: Choice Specs and Choice Scarf boost Tapu Lele's Special Attack or Speed, but don't let it switch moves.
    • Second sentence: Life Orb and Pixie Plate boost Tapu Lele's general damage output, but the former gives recoil and the latter only boosts Moonblast.
    • Third sentence: All of them cut into Tapu Lele's longevity and make its life harder as a pivot, which explains why they are not used.
Remove me from the credits since I have not stamped this yet. Tag me and I will look again once implemented. I will not add any comments until every Tapu Lele mention is correctly spelled. Also, there is a lot of grammar issues present, so please try to clean them up. Once I am done checking content, I will help you go over some of the basic ones to help out the poor GP team.
