[OVERVIEW]
Although Tauros's Speed tier and coverage options let it threaten Pokemon like Heliolisk, Steelix, and Garbodor, its inability to reliably break common defensive Pokemon like Slowbro, Rhydon, and Palossand leaves it outclassed by wallbreakers like Heliolisk, Sceptile, and Vanilluxe that can bypass their checks with their coverage moves and sheer power. Tauros is further hampered by its lacking defensive traits, which make it difficult to switch in and set up safely against almost anything other than Xatu, while other wallbreakers like Incineroar and Assault Vest Slowbro find multiple chances to come into battle thanks to their typing and abilities.

[SET COMMENTS]
This set tries to take advantage of Tauros's good mixed movepool by enabling it to hit a wide range of targets for super effective damage, and Tauros can also opt to boost its Attack with Work Up to give it a better chance to break Slowbro. However, Tauros finds few opportunities to set up and is unable to reliably break Pokemon such as Vaporeon and Rhydon even with Work Up and its coverage options. Other wallbreakers such as Incineroar, Heliolisk, and Whimsicott are generally better options thanks to their better ability to bypass checks of their own, stronger immediate firepower, and greater defensive utility that lets them find more opportunities to switch in compared to Tauros.
