TEAM 1MORETIME

INTRODUCTION
Just so you all know this is my first rmt so if i suck feel free to let me know :) i was playing UU for a while but i decided to go back to OU, this team is probably the best i made so far but if you give me any ideas on how to tweak it would be even better. I played about 50ish matches with this team and so far i only lost about 1/4 of them, which is an amazing record for me. The basic strategy for this team is to wear the opponent's team out with my first 5 pokemon before sicking lucario on them, hopefully my opponent's team will be weak enough for a clean sweep.

The Lead
metagross.png

Hi aerodactyl, nice meeting u again, i thought maybe we could...wait, don't die so quickly,i just started.

BoomBoomPow (Metagross) @ Occa Berry
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP/236 Atk/12 Def/8 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Meteor Mash
- Bullet Punch
- Explosion
---
My ever reliable lead metagross. This guy can take on almost every single lead in existance and come out on top, setting up SR in the process, then blowing up on another guy. If this guy survives the first few turns he can perform a miny sweep later in the game. Bullet punch is there to help with focus sash leads. The only problem metagross has is dealing with steel leads, I could change meteor mash to EQ but that would leave me without a reliable stab, and still leave me without anything to hit bronzong with.

The Wallbreaker
salamence.png

I eat blisseys for breakfast...

Saphire (Salamence) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 80 Atk/176 Spd/252 SAtk
Rash nature (+SAtk, -SDef)
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Brick Break
- Crunch
---
Standard mixmence set. This thing is here to put holes in opposing teams and it does it well. Draco meteor just rips chunks off anything it touches, even steels. Fire Blast has a high chance of a OHKO on skarmory with SR, it can also deal with scizor after it has been intimidated. Brick Break deals with Blissey and Snorlax, two pokemon that completely wall the other three moves. I chose crunch over roost because vaporeon can already heal salamence with wish.

The Clean-Up
porygonZ.png

Who says i got no speed?

Boo (Porygonz) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Download
EVs: 252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Tri Attack
- Trick
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
---
This is probably the best user of choice scarf that i have seen so far, giving its rather average speed a much needed boost. With download it can occasionally get a free special attack boost and proceed to pick off the remnants of my opponent's team. Tri Attack is my main move and with download it will give hell to anyone at the receiving end of it. Thunderbolt and Ice Beam rounds the set of nicely and scoring 4x hits on the dragons and gyarados. Trick is for anyone who thinks blissey and friends have a free switch in.

The Special Sponge/Wish supporter
vaporeon.png

One day, i'm going to grow up and be bigger and cooler than milotic...

Ariel (Vaporeon) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 188 HP/252 Def/68 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Wish
- Toxic
- Surf
- Protect
---
With its massive hp stat backing up its already high special defence stat, vaporeon is a champion at taking special hits. Besides screwing over infernape and other special threats it can also be a team player a pass along wishes to my other pokes. I am considering replacing toxic with hp electric or ice beam because there are a lot of steels in the OU metagame and toxic rarely gets used, but when it does hit it causes headaches to anything lacking rest or natural cure, not to mention vaporeon can pull of a stall with protect and wish.

Physical Sponge/Paralysis Spreader
celebi.png

Just for the record i didn't grow from a farm and IM NOT HEALTHY FOR U!

OnionHead (Celebi) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP/220 Def/36 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Thunder Wave
- Energy Ball
- Recover
- Earth Power
---
With this ev spread celebi can laugh in the faces of physical attackers unless their names are tyranitar or scizor. Thunder wave is always a great move to have and celebi can spread it around like no other. I always liked energy ball because of its consistent damage and a small chance to lower the target's special defence. But more and more i wish i was running grass knot over energy ball because of the behemoths that lurk in OU. Recover provides a method of recovery and makes celebi last until the end of time. Earth Power is there to destroy heatran and other steels that resist my grass attack.

The Checkmate
lucario.png

There never seems to be anything left for me to kill...

Skywalker (Lucario) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Steadfast
EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Extremespeed
- Crunch
---
SD lucario in my opinion is the best late-game sweeper in existence. It comes in after my teammates have weakened or killed off most of the team and after a single swords dance will destroy anything and everything that stands in its way. The hard part is to find exactly the right moment to unleash this puppy onto my opponent. Send it in too early and there might be a poke on my opponent's team fit enough to deal with luke. Swords Dance on the wrong moment and watch as my lucario is OHKOed. But most of the time i predict correctly and observe as my opponent's team is bulldozed through. Close Combat is marvelous on this pokemon and with 120 base power coupled with STAB, anything not resistant to it will probably be OHKOed, anything faster than luke is probably frail enough to be exterminated with an Extremespeed. Crunch is there so that ghost wont completely wall this set.

CONCLUSION
Well i hope you enjoyed my RMT and please leave any helpful comments behind. If you think this RMT sucked then please tell me how i can improve on future ones. I will post up a threat list soon.

Azlef: Leads are taken care of by metagross. Sweeping variants are a bit harder. Vaporeon can take a hit and OHKO it with surf if it had taken life orb and stealth rock damage.

Breloom: I HATE THIS EFFING THING. it comes in on metagross, vaporeon or celebi and before i can say barrack obama this thing has the spore, sub, punch gig all over me. I have to play around with this thing before i can take it out.

Celebi: HP ice-less variants are taken care of by salamence. Metagross can kill it off with meteor mash.

Dugtrio: It probably would revenge kill something but after that it is a sitting duck to metagross's bullet punch and celebi's energy ball.

Electivire: It usually comes in on Celebi's twave so i let celebi take an ice punch and earth power it back.

Empoleon: The sub-petaya set is probably taken care of by lucario's extremespeed. will my scarf porygon outspeed it after an agility?

Flygon: PorgonZ's ice beam

Gengar: Metagross bullet punch, scarfless variants are OHKOed by porgon's ice beam.

Gliscor: PorgonZ's ice beam. Vaporeon's surf.

Gyarados: PorgonZ's tbolt. Will it outspeed gyara even after a dragon dance?

Heatran: most of them are scarfed so i scout out its first move then switch accordingly. Vaporeon walks right over this guy.

Heracross: Salamence can come in on a scarfcross locked on close combat or megahorn and OHKO with fire blast.

Infernape: PorgonZ's tri attack. Special versions are taken care of with vaporeon.

Jirachi: Rarely see them outside of leads but trick versions can be dodged by switching my porygon Z onto a trick and exchanging scarfs. ParaFlinch versions are annoying but salamence can get in there and fire blast.

Kingdra: Salamence Draco Meteor. PorgonZ's tri attack.

Latias: I have to kill this thing quickly with porgonZ's ice beam, otherwise if it gets a few CMs it becomes really hard to kill. Metagross's bullet punch and Lucario's extremespeed will kill off weaker ones though.

Lucario: Salamence can intimidate then brick break. Celebi can earth power crunchless variants. Vaporeon takes care of special variants.

Machamp: Celebi might get confused but Dynamic Punch does laughable damage against it. Celebi has trouble doing anything back to it though. porgonZ can tri attack it and Salamence can Draco Meteor it.

Magnezone: Not really any steels that it can kill. Metagross can be killed off but it wasnt meant to last long anyway. Lucario can just Close Combat it to death.

Mamoswine: Dont really see these things nowadays. Metagross Bullet Punch and Vaporeon can Surf.

Metagross: Rarely see these guys outside of leads. Salamence Fire Blasts it.

PorygonZ: hard to take out as these guys hit very hard, i should know. Metagross bullet punch. Vaporeon can take a hit and surf back. Nasty Plot versions are kinda slow so anything faster can take it out.

Rhypherior: Never see these guys. Vaporeon can Surf, Celebi can energy ball, Salamence brick break, the list goes on.

Roserade: Salamence can switch into leaf storm and OHKO with fire blast. PorygonZ can tri attack it.

Rotom-A: I can switch porygonZ into a trick. Salamence can crunch it (hopefully before it burns me). Lucario can do the same. This pokemon is a little annoying.

Salamence: I can kill it off with porygonZ's ice beam. DD variants i switch to celebi and take an outrage then twave it, from then on its easy to kill.

Scizor: Celebi can take Choice Banded Bullet punches and Earth Power it for some decent damage. Salamence can switch in and intimidate it and OHKO back with fire blast.

Snorlax: Salamence can brick break. Lucario can kill it off with close combat. Metagross's meteor mash will do some decent damage.

Starmie: PorygonZ's tbolt. Celebi can energy ball it.

Suicune: Never see one but mono attacking crocune with surf can be walled completely by vaporeon. Offensive variants are a dangerous threat that probably have to be dealt with quickly before it can get some CMs.

Togekiss: Reaaaaally annoying, especially para flinch variants.porygonz can hopefully OHKO with ice beam.

Zapdos: This is a really hard thing to take down. Salamence can hopefully OHKO with draco meteor and Porygon Z with ice beam.

Earthquake over Meteor Smash so that you can actually make use of your occa berry since it can actually hurt fire types. If you want to keep Meteor Mash then you can replace explosion for it.

Imo, Dragonite out classes Salamence's classic mixmence set since Dragonite can OHKO blissey with Superpower. So, you should either give Mence the New Mix set or swap him for a Mix Dragonite

If you want a pokemon that can Wishpass, inflict status, and Special Wall use Blissey.
