Team Adapt-a-lot

Edits in Red
Sorry for the cheesy title, its the best I could come up with. I had noticed that most of my other teams failed because they could not prepare for everything. No team can cover every threat in the metagame. Instead, this team focuses on capturing the momentum and adapting my strategy so my opponent can never form a strategy of his own.
This team started out as a way for me to test a new idea I had heard for a bulky Crobat lead.

Team
Crobat (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 168 HP / 172 Def / 168 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Super Fang
- Toxic
- Roost
- Brave Bird
.
I love this set so much. Crobat's defenses are just high enough that with leftovers, roost, and EV investment it can become a wall. This set really excels at using Super Fang and Toxic to slowly whittle down the opponent for a more powerful opponent to clean up. This set has great synergy with Scizor

Chandelure (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 255 SAtk / 255 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Shadow Ball
- Energy Ball
- Psychic
- Fire Blast

My favorite Poke of this gen, Lure appears in almost all of my teams. This set doesn't need must of an explanation. It has great type coverage and can revenge kill well. I often use this set as a finisher after Crobat has halved its health. Best of all, Chandelure is reasonably bulky and can take repeated hits from walls. This has good synergy with Scizor, as together they cover both physical and special offense, and Lure can take fire attacks aimed at Scizor

Metagross @ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 255 Atk / 88 Def / 76 SDef / 88 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Agility
- Meteor Mash
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch

It took a while for me to like AgiliGross, but now I do. Unlike most sets that use a stat-upping move, Metagross does not rely on getting an Agility up, as he has good enough defense to take repeated faster hits and hit back hard himself. Leftovers is used over Life Orb as I would rather this thing stay around longer than hit harder. Gliscor is now not much trouble because of Ice Punch, thanks No Luck Involved
Swampert (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 108 HP / 92 Atk / 108 Def / 92 SAtk / 108 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Roar
- Stealth Rock
- Scald

Although some say Swampert is now outclassed, I think it has hit its prime in the 5th gen. Because of team preview, I can eliminate any grass types with Lure before they can touch Pert. Swampert can force many switches and set up rocks on the switch. Many things try to wall him with a Sub, which is why I carry roar. Scald is good for the chance of crippling a Physical sweeper and forcing a double switch. Earthquake is Swamperts main attacking move. I would appreciate suggestions for this set's EVs.

Salamence (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 180 Atk / 176 SAtk / 152 Spd
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Fire Blast
- Draco Meteor
- Outrage
- Earthquake

Mixed Salamence is not the offensive juggernaut it used to be, but very few things can take a STAB Life Orb Draco Meteor followed by two or three STAB Life Orb Outrages. Earthquake can catch a Heatran with Dragon Pulse by surprise, and I carry Fire Blast mainly for Ferrothorn. This set is fully capable of sweeping three or four pokes in a row if Crobat, Chandelure, Scizor, and Stealth Rocks damage has already been acquired.

Scizor (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Technician
EVs: 255 Atk / 255 Spd
Hardy Nature
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
-Superpower
-Pursuit

Filler, but excellent filler at that. Choice Band Scizor can be put on any team and still work. Bullet Punch hits like a brick for a priority move, and Superpower is good for those pesky normal/dark types that seem to be cropping up more often this gen. Pursuit is rarely used, but can be especially useful on a Choice User who is forced to switch because Scizor resists the move they are locked into. U-turn is good for scouting, but Scizor wishes it had more speed. There is a reason Scizor is the most used poke of this gen, over many others that seem more qualified on paper (Excadrill, anyone?).

Threats:

Gliscor- Only a problem if Gross is down
Subs- Because my team relies on keeping the game fast paced and forcing switches, nothing annoys me more than something that hides behind a sub and then buffs its stats. My counter to sub users is Pert's roar, but if Pert is KOed I have trouble.

Bulky Sweepers- My team can pound hyper offense into the ground, and stall is not much of a problem, but bulky sweepers such as Ttar and Reuniclus that can take a hit and hit back hard really hurt this team. I don't think this can be fixed per se, but if anybody could help me lessen the affects of it I would appreciate it.

Sorry. Check out my RMT "This Team Has No Discernable Theme" and you'll understand what I mean. I meant it more as a joke than anything else though ;p

Hi, nice team m1k3y! To help your Gliscor problem I would definitely consider Ice Punch on Metagross. You can Agility on the switch and proceed to rip it apart but you lose coverage on steels... Perhaps swap Zen Headbutt for Fire Punch because Meteor Mash is gonna hurt anything Zen Headbutt hurts and Gross' typing means you can usually live through Fighting types such as Terrakion and carve a Meteor shaped hole through them. Conkeldurr will give Gross problems but Chandy and Crobat laughs at him.

I would also drop U-turn or Brave Bird on Crobat, depending on which move you used less, and give it Toxic. This follows the stalling nature of Crobat and Super Fang can be very effective with it. It also gives you a way to deal with stat uppers by putting them on a timer. And status is generally a helpful thing to have on a team. Good luck!
