Team annoying (pff as lame as that sounds)

~Update: Currently under huge team construction. Pokemon such as Moltres and re arranges are being tested but for now the core of the team stays the same.~
Team at a glance
untitled-1.jpg

Intro
Well the key to my team is to get my opponent to switch out as much as possible and get hit by Stealth Rock. How? With status problems ofcourse! I will use sleep, poison and paralysis to reach this goal. Then with a sweeper or two I will take out the weakened pokemon easily. Also I may force unfavourable switch-ins with all these status problems.

In depth
Uxie.png

Uxie @ Choice Scarf
Impish Nature
EV's: 252 HP 128 Def 128 SpD
Levitate
~Stealth Rock
~Trick
~U-Turn
~Thunder Wave

Pretty standard Uxie. Leads to either trick and setup SR or just setup SR. I may remove Trick though and stick a leftovers on it because U-turn really does not do enough damage or have a great coverage.
350.png

Milotic (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Marvel Scale
EVs: 248 HP/252 Def/8 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf
- Recover
- Toxic
- Haze

Annoying Milotic that can take a beating. No one likes toxic and Haze has saved me more times than I can remember. Add recover and you have a tough time taking out Milotic. The bad news is that Milotic is in the same boat as Uxie - only having Surf to deal damage. So I may drop something for Ice Beam. Taunters really hurt Milotic. The absence of Raikou has made Milotic's life a lot easier, but I saw a rise in Sceptile use.

Toxicroak (M) @ Life Orb (Updated)
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Cross Chop
- Stone Edge
- Sucker Punch
Update: Swords dance Toxicroak is very powerful (credit to Ironbullet) but I found that it is too frail to rely on cross chop (80%) accuracy and cannot learn Close Combat. So I am rather stuck in that department.
I chose Toxicroak to deal with Rain dance teams, but I have yet to face one. So I may end up dropping him. So far he has been mediocre.

Current set (Updated)
Venusaur (M) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Sleep Powder
- Synthesis
- Power Whip
- Earthquake

This set was reccomended to me by Ironbullet and so far it is the best of the three. I will leave the other two here in case something sparks your interest.

Second Set
Venusaur (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Sleep Powder
- Synthesis
- Energy Ball
- Leech Seed

Still being tested along with other options.
Old Set
Venusaur (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Sleep Powder
- Return
- Power Whip

This Venusaur is not quite as good as I was expecting him to be. Sleep powder really helps but on a team this status oriented the accuracy is not reliable. Power whip is for other Milotic's which my team has trouble with and Return is just to hit hard. Swords dance is to seize the opportunity if my opponent gets para haxed or switches ect.
However this did not turn out as great as expected since Life orb recoil and no recovery move = no time to Swords dance properly. I honestly cannot drop return for synthesis unless I want 3 pokemon with only 1 attacking move. Venusaur needs to be redone.
The only time I ever even managed to hit something after SD was a Spiritomb and I OHKO'd it.
Mismagius.jpg

Mismagius (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Destiny Bond
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ground]

Sweeper with a secret. Destiny Bond. Hidden power ground for coverage. This is my late game sweeper for when my opponents pokemon have been weakened by SR, toxic ect. Also does wonder against Blastoise and Hitmontop - the two most common UU Rapid Spinners -
070415chansey.jpg

Chansey (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP/4 Spd/252 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Aromatherapy
- Softboiled
- Seismic Toss
- Thunder Wave

Chansey is my Physical wall. (lol no) Chansey is my Special wall ofcourse. Its movepool speaks for itself. Aromatherapy is very useful for blocking other annoyers and very few teams I encounter carry Aromatherapy or Heal Bell.

Other options

dungeon146.png
Moltres is the first thing that comes to mind to replace Toxicroak.
dungeon051.png
Dugtrio would also make an effective revenge killer.
I may add a spinner/second stealth rocker.

I may give Chansey wish to support my other pokemon and be even more annoying.

Pokemon that give me issues

123.png

Lead Scyther with SD...Practically swept my whole team. I need SR up to beat it.
Close_Combat_ani.png

Hitmonlee or any pokemon with Close Combat. They hit hard. They hit fast. Limber on Hitmonlee really hurts. Unless I get Mismagius in shape I can kiss victory goodbye.
Spr_4h_232_m.png

I faced a pro named "Brand New Eyes" that beat me 6-0 with skilled prediction and using Donphan to eat my Thunder Waves. He was good.

In regards to this issue, I might have a suggestion. (But don't listen to closely, I'm sort of new and not the most reliable source >.<)
How about making a sleep talk Milotic? IT will still give you everything you need minus haze, but it will remedy your ice beam problem. In addition to that, rest is going to be more annoying than recover in my opinion, and youre still able to do some damage while asleep.

Miltoic @ Leftovers
Calm Nature
Marvel Scale ability
252 HP / 200 Def / 56 SpD
~Rest
~Sleep Talk
~Ice Beam
~Surf

Something like this maybe?

Venusaur (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Sleep Powder
- Return
- Power Whip

This Venusaur is not quite as good as I was expecting him to be. Sleep powder really helps but on a team this status oriented the accuracy is not reliable. Power whip is for other Milotic's which my team has trouble with and Return is just to hit hard. Swords dance is to seize the opportunity if my opponent gets para haxed or switches ect.

Ok, well if youre planning on using Venasaur to do most of your sweeping or really take out a lot of pokemon, you should find someone else. Venasaur is just too slow in my opinion. However if you still want to go with your original plan of status hax and forcing switches you could try another build.

Venasaur @ Leftovers
Calm Nature
Overgrow ability
252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Def
~Sleep Powder
~Leech Seed/Synthesis
~Energy Ball
~Sludge Bomb

With this you could go in and put pokemon to sleep and then seed them. Take them out with energy ball or sludge bomb as appropriate. In retrospect, you could put them to sleep and then just attack them, synthesis when you are low on health. Just remember venasaur is slow, so you have to plan your moves ahead a little.

Hope this helped atleast somewhat

Hey those sets look dangerous! Thanks alot :D
I will definately try them out. As for Venusaur I really thought his speed would not be a problem since I have Thunder Wave on two pokemon but it didn't turn out that way. I will replace him... Maybe a Moltes.

Hi,

Taunt is pretty much useless on Toxicroak. Switch it to Swords Dance, which gives you a huge increase in damage output, and Toxicroak gets plently of setup oppurtunities thanks to its ability.

On Venusaur, I'd suggest changing it to a Specially Defensive set to deal with Rotom and Mismagius, both of who give huge problems to your team. Your only way of defeating them is Mismagius, who can't switch in to them and is only able to revenge-kill. You can go with the one suggested in the earlier post, but replace Energy Ball with Power Whip for the increased damage output, hitting Mismagius on its weaker Physical side.

If Scyther is giving you problems, you can swap your Mismagius for a Rotom, who resists both of Scyther's STABs while hitting back hard with Discharge. It also keeps up with your theme of spreading Status around, spreading Burns and Paralysis around:

Rotom@Leftovers
252 HP, 252 Spe, 4 Sp Atk
Timid
- Substitute
- Discharge
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

Nice team overall, and gl.

I switched Toxicroak to the SD set you advised and am testing this Venusaur currently:

Venusaur (M) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Sleep Powder
- Synthesis
- Power Whip
- Earthquake

After that I will test Rotom

I'll be sure to let you know how it goes and thank you for taking the time to look at my team =D

Updates on Toxicroak, Venusaur and "other options"

I tested Moltres, but without a spinner it proved unreliable.
I may drop Toxicroak for a pokemon that fills his role as SD sweeper better. Hitmontop comes to mind (Rapid Spin would help aswell)...that is if Hitmontop can learn SD.
Just checked Hitmontop cannot learn SD. I will try out Blaziken once or twice and see how he fares, though my concerns of rain dance teams will skyrocket.

Hmm, a SD pokemon could be Absol. Off the top of my head I really can't see why it wouldn't fit into your team. To boot (well for me anyway), SD Absols are a pain in the ass. 130 base atk = destruction. You could try a moveset like this...

Absol @ life orb
Adamant nature
super luck ability
252 Atk / 252 Spe
~Swords Dance
~Sucker Punch
~Super Power
~Psycho Cut

Just make sure to watch out for will-o-wisp....

@breaking walls, come back later when you have more experience. You need to learn about
1. what this site is actually for (competitive battling)
2. tiers
3. how to rate a team
4. not to go over the top at rating
5. punctuation, why do you have random capitals at the beginnings of some words in the middle of sentences?

I might have Misread something here, and pardon me If I did make that mistake.

But why isn't your chansey A blissey?

If you haven't noticed, this is a UU team.

Just please listen to Bartman. If you're going to post nothing worthwhile then I suggest to stop rating and wait until the next tutor round to begin, and sign up. If you don't even understand the tiers then you're not doing any good for anyone when rating.

IMO, weather teams seem quite rare these days, and with Venusaur, Milotic, and thunder wave, rain dance doesn't seem like something to be very afraid of.

I don't know why I thought of this, but if you don't mind losing an SD sweeper, I can see Piloswine being a great replacement over Toxicroak. Maybe something like this

Piloswine @ Life Orb
Snow Cloak, Adament
EV: 252 HP, 252 Att, 4 Spe
Ice Shards
Eathquake
Rock Slide
Ice Fang/ Superpower/ Rest

This could work, it has an immunity to electric, so it can switch-in to electric moves aimed at Milotic (Neutral to HP ice is a bonus). It also attracts fire, grass, water, and fighting moves. Which can be great opportunities for Milotic, Venusaur, and Mismagius to switch in.

The EVs are not really specific, but they can work. Max Att makes Ice Shards KO TP Torterra and Swellow after on turn of their orb (both of which can cause your team some problems). Speed is to outrun Donphan. The rest put into HP for bulk.

The moves can really help your team. Ice Shards, as mentioned earlier, takes out Torterra and Swellow and is useful for revenge killing. Earthquake is your strongest STAB. Rock Slide > Stone Edge for accuracy and flinch hax along with paralysis (takes out Moltres). The last is up for grabs. Ice Fang has a chance to 2HKO Donphan, Superpower will OHKO Chansey and specially defensive Clefable (something EQ can not), and rest could restore health and can be used along Chansey's Aromatherphy.

I hope I've helped out, and nice team.
