This team can be considered an upgrade of my "Team Virus" group. This team is a little more creative than team virus. I've tested this team on Shoddy and it was pretty successful, but I completely got walled by a certain pokemon, primarily Machamp. But this team still keeps the same concept of Team Virus: Weaking the foe's team and stalling them long enough for my two sweepers to finish the job. But now, I have a pretty..."harsh" combination with 2 certain pokemon, and I will explain that in this RMT thread. Well now, let me introduce: Team Antivirus!
Honchkrow @ Focus Sash
Insomnia
252 Atk/ 252 Speed/ 6 Def
Naughty
Drill Peck
Whirlwind
Sucker Punch
Thunder Wave
Ok, this is my starter in the match. I was pretty tired of Yanmega (It's a good pokemon, but I just got tired of using it.) Anyway, I've had too much fun using this pokemon. Sucker Punch one hit ko's unsuspecting ghosts and psychic types, which is always fun to see that a gengar tries to use T-bolt on him, and then to see that Sucker Punch surprised him with the one hit ko. Drill peck is for some more STAB fun while beating Fighting types and Bug types to a pulp. Whirlwind and Thunderwave make Honchkrow a P-Hazer. With 3 layers of spikes on the field, Honchkrow's true potential is shown. Paralyzing foe's team and then whirlwinding them out, and then to see the opponent hit with 25% damage from spikes one by one was the most surprising combos i've ever done.
Forretress @ Leftovers
Sturdy
252 HP/ 162 Atk/ 96 Def
Relaxed
Spikes
Earthquake
Gyro Ball
Rapid Spin
Im sorry, but I had to have Forrey as my defensive wall! I was deciding a good spiker/defender that can help me against most high hitting pokemon. Forretress is an all-in-one pokemon. When something such as Weavile comes to the field, I switch to Forrey. He then sets up 3 Spikes while Weavile is trying to wear him down. When the spikes are down, most weavile are at 2 hits from beating Forrey, then to the foe's shock, weavile is one hit ko'ed by gyro ball. As stated earlier, Forrey works well with Honchkrow. He sets up spikes and destroys ice types, then Honchrow with the T-Waving and Whirling. I just watch the damage rain down on my foe. Basically, Forrey has 3 words to describe it: Spin, Spike, Ball.
Snorlax @ Leftovers
Thick Fat
168 HP/ 120 Def/ 220 Sp. Def
Careful
Curse
Body Slam
Earthquake
Crunch
This guy is my special wall. Blissey is sort of overrated, so I went one step down. He barely takes damage from Special attacks, especially ice and fire attacks thanks to Thick Fat. Curse drops Snorlax's already crappy speed and give him even more power and defense. With 2 curses under his belt, he causes massive damage to Blissey (2 hit ko), Deoxys - Speed (1 hit ko), Gengar (1 hit ko), etc. Instead of using rest and selfdestrut, I chose to run Crunch for the crazy speedy ghosts and psychic types running around. Usually before sending him out, if I can, I try to predict an ice or fire attack, then switch to him.
Dragonite @ Leftovers
Inner Focus
252 HP/ 96 Def/ 32 Sp. Def/ 128 Speed
Impish
Dragon Dance
Light Screen
Roost
Dragon Claw
Bulky Dragon Dance Dragonite as my tank. It may seem odd, but even with no attack ev's, he still carries a load of power. Light Screen give him to ability, to finally attack head on even when ice attacks are running wild, and he can support the team more with it. Roost recovers his damage while he's setting up Dragon Dance. I chose Dragonite over things like Salamence and Garchomp because of Dragonites array of support moves. He still maintains his bulkiness even when being a supporting pokemon.
Gallade @ Expert Belt
Steadfast
64 HP/ 252 Atk/ 192 Spe
Adamant
Swords Dance
Close Combat
Psycho Cut
Shadow Sneak
My main Physical Sweeper, Gallade! I originally had SDLuke in this spot, but after seeing that he goes down really fast, I decided to use Gallade. Gallade sets up with Swords Dance, then follows up with one of its attacks. After a SD, Close Combat usually one hit ko's Blissey, Weavile, Snorlax, and Lucario. Psycho Cut destroys Weezing, Heracross, Infernape, Gengar, etc. Shadow Sneak is for priority and finishing off weakened pokemon.
Alakazam @ Life Orb
Synchronize
252 Sp. Atk/ 252 Speed/ 6 Sp. Def
Timid / Hasty
Grass Knot / Focus Blast
Psychic
Shadow Ball
Shock Wave / Charge Beam
My main special sweeper, Alakazam! Alakazam is a first generation special attacker who usually competes with Gengar over the title of top sp. attacker. Grass Knot handles bulky waters such as Swampert, Slowbro, and Milotic, and even takes care of the uncommon Rhyperior, Hippowdon, and sometimes even T-Tar! Focus blast can be useful for Blissey,Lucario,Snorlax,T-Tar, etc. that doesn't resist it. Shadow Ball takes care of Cress,Gallade,Dusknoir, etc. Psychic makes Gengar and his other ghost cronies go running. Shock Wave and Charge Beam are great for countering the ever so common Gyrados.
Well basically this is Team Antivirus. As stated, I love doing the 3x Spikes + T-Wave + Whirlwind combo with Forrey and Honchkrow, but if you have any suggestions, please state them, dont be afraid that you may hurt my feelings and crap, because you wont! I know constructive suggestions when I see them. Also, if you suggest something, I wont complain or whine about anything you say.
Thanks!
