~Team Ascension~
This is my first RMT actually, so I'm probably gonna screw up on something.
So first thing's first, and that would be my lead pokemon, Ursaring!
Teddy the Ursaring, Jolly, Toxic Orb.
Quick Feet, 252 Atk, 252 Spd, and 4 HP.
Earthquake, Facade, Close Combat, Crunch
Yeah this guy's great. Super high attack and speed when you put all those things together, but why a lead? Why not? I've never seen anyone who can counter this guy right at the start, so it's an easy way to rid yourself of other lead pokemon fast. You get pretty decent coverage with all the different moves too, neat huh?
Crusher the Crawdaunt, Adamant, Choice Band
Shell Armor, 252 Atk, 204 Spd, 52 HP
Aerial Ace, Crunch, Waterfall, Superpower
I'm not exactly a creative namer... So Crawdaunt, why this guy? Well I figured since leads are usually the first to go down, Teddy's gonna need some backup, and then I realized with CBand, this guy's attack is 558. Most walls I've seen have a Speed stat no larger than Crawdaunt is with these EVs, so I kept it. I threw the rest into HP for good measure.
So, Ursaring weak to Fighting, Crawdaunt's weak to a good few things but that's not a problem, especially if he outspeeds, but they're both weak to fighting? I found a solution that fits in.
Mysidia the Xatu, Jolly, Leftovers
Early Bird, 216 Spd, 252 HP, 40 Def
U-Turn, Wish, Zen Headbutt, Sucker Punch
That's more like it. x1/4th to Fighting attacks. It's a bit like Jirachi, and it's worked wonders so far. Fighting pokemon fall to Zen Headbutt, Sucker Punch takes out weak opponents if the occasion comes to arise, Wish is basically for team support, and U-Turn is to get the heck out of there if an Electrode or something comes in and crashes the fun. Speaking of Electric, two of three on my team are weak, need to fix that...
Inferno the Entei, Jolly, Expert Belt
4 HP, 252 Atk, 252 Spd, 30 IVs for SpD and SpA
Hidden Power (Ground), Stone Edge, Fire Fang, Sandstorm
Bold added for extra wtfs. I've still sorta got that Electric weakness, but that and the reason for Sandstorm is revealed by the next pokemon. Entei's pretty fragile for me, and I obviously couldn't do Choice Band with Sandstorm, and Life Orb made him like a piece of glass easily shattered, so I went with the next best thing, Expert Belt. EVs are self explanatory if you know Entei.
Nightblade the Sandslash, Adamant, Life Orb
252 Atk, 4 HP, 252 Spd
Earthquake, Shadow Claw, Rapid Spin, Swords Dance
Come on, you know that picture is badass. Admit it. ADMIT IT. Moving on, this guy completely repels Electric attacks, so I'll call that one a fix. Sandstorm in play, Sand Veil activates, and I can make my move by spamming Swords Dance. Once that weather wears off, the gloves are off and it's time to OHKO everything he outspeeds.
Clamp the Pinsir, Adamant, Choice Scarf
252 Atk, 252 Spd, 4 HP
X-Scissor, Earthquake, Stone Edge, Close Combat
My late game guy. He's around to pick up the pieces once most of my team is down for the count. Pretty reliable, if I do say so myself. He's got a good variety of moves, too.
So there it is, my first attempt at a nice NU team, whatcha think? :D
