This team is one I created for fun for Showdown games, the main reason being Pikachu. I probably wouldn't make this team IRL for any kind of tournament, but I have had both fun and success with this team. Typically play in OU.

Torterra and Pikachu are the obvious outliers who in a real team would most likely be replaces with a Ferrothorn and a Jolteon, but for what it is I am enjoying it.

Terra actually is super underrated imo, in fact, I don't even know what tier it's in. Synth + Leech + Left gives it a chance to be a super Physical wall and it survives unboosted Flare Blitz and Brave Bird from Talonflame, which is exactly what you need from a physical anything defensive in the current meta. Ice is a bitch, but Terra is far from the only mon who suffers from that in the meta. I'm torn between EQ and Rockslide, because EQ is a really good STAB, but nothing infuriates people more than when a Torterra survives a Brave Bird and uses a Rockslide in the same round to OHKO a Talonflame.

Pika on the other hand is a ball full of mess. Extreme Spika is an event only mon so I have no real hopes of having one actually built, let alone ever getting one that is both competitive and HP Ice-able. Light Ball is crazy sauce so I made him a mixed sweeper, with a lot invested into Physical because Extreme Speed killing things is a lot more important than I ever realized. Static is nice for revenge paralysis on physical mons who come in to kill Pika, and as far as Extreme Speed goes it's the only option. Iron Tail gives Fairy and SPDEF TTar coverage, assuming Grass Knot doesn't kill.

Zard X and Greninja are the core of the team, covering the bases of Special and Physical.

Zard X has a very niche set on it designed to counter the meta that it faces. Scarf Garchomp is a very real threat and sometimes you won't be able to get off two DDances to get to +2 Speed. Flame Charge has enough BP after tough claws to get the job done for most of the pokemon it checks, like Scizor and Ferrothorn, with the added bonus of guaranteed +1 Speed. Dragon Claw is superior to Outrage because of the fairy presence and because confusion sucks with such a high ATK stat. Lastly I run Brick Break over EQ because I already have two EQ users and it still checks the things that I was running EQ for, namely Heatran. It also has comparable damage to EQ because it takes the benefits of Tough Claws and it breaks through Normal type walls like Chansey and Snorlax.

Greninja runs a set that many people disagree with. The lack of Grass Knot and the choice of running Scald over Hydro Pump come from a very real threat in physical mons against this team. 30% burn hax and 100% accuracy are far better attributes to me than Hydro Pump and/or Surf offers. Dark Pulse is there because ghost and psychic threats are still out there, even after the removal of Aegislash from OU. Slowbro (and its upcoming Mega) as well as others are going to be showing up a lot more. Extrasensory is good psychic coverage for poison types and for resisting fighting. Ice Beam is there because it has great coverage against the meta with so many Dragon and Flying types roaming around.

Gardevoir serves as my SpD wall. Calm Mind + Wish keep it alive and strong, even against super effective sludge bombs from mega Venusaur. Moonblast and Psyshock give it mixed physical and special attack coverage which is very nice. I used to run it with safety goggles because I used to see a lot more Spore users and I liked being immune to Sandstorm, but I find that the combination of Synchronize and Lum Berry essentially gives my Garde a fifth move slot of Thunder Wave, Will-O-Wisp, or Toxic which runs very well and really angers a lot of opponents.

Mold Breaker Excadrill is designed to get up rocks and get rid of others. The choice between Air Balloon and Focus Sash is real, because fighting and fire coverage still exist. He is a great suicide lead, and I love having him as my Stealth Rocker instead of Torterra because he has higher speed and because Magic Bounce antimeta has no effect on him. I cannot wait until ORAS comes out so I can actually build this Exca for real because I have one with the right nature/ability and perfect IVs.

Big things I notice I miss on this team are reliable Burners like something with Will-O-Wisp (might be able to squeeze it on Garde) and I lack a lot of priority moves to revenge kill DDancers and Speed Boosters. Zard X keeps this team competitive with his ridiculousness, Terra is a great underrated physical tank, and Mold Breaker Earthquake and Stealth Rocks on Exca make people very upset.

I call this Team Ash not because I intentionally meant for it to turn into an Ash Ketchum team, but it inadvertently turned into one while I was making a team out of pokes that I liked so I rolled with it. It could be more canonical if you somehow made butterfree w/Quiver Dance replace Garde and Donphan replace Exca, but that takes the team even more into UU gimmicky territory than it already is.
