Team Bad Guys... & Shaymin

Hello everybody this is my first RMT, made with pokes with bad face... and Shaymin.

Team:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

yanmega.png

Yanmega@ Focus Sash
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 104 Def / 152 Spd / 252 SpA
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Protect
- Bug Buzz
- Air Slash
- Hidden Power [Ground]
469.png
Why Yanmega?
When the battle begins the first thing I think is to kill the lead on my opponent, and try to damage the next pokemon or just switch to a counter, so air slash and bug buzz for STAB, HP Ground to take care of the Steel and finally Protect to outspeed any lead Attacking or just watch the first move of my opponent and make a reliable switch and save Yanmega for later.

tentacruel.png

Tentacruel @ Leftovers
Ability: Liquid Ooze
EVs: 252 HP / 120 Def / 136 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Toxic Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Surf

73.png
Why Tentacruel?
This guy spinnes away entry hazards and try to put mines, also is one of the best Infernape counters, a safe switch-in into a fire, water, ice and fighting moves(Also Draco Meteor ^^). Water pokes are not safe with the HP Electric bar Swampert.

scizor.png

Scizor @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
- Bullet Punch
- Brick Break
- Sword Dance
- Roost

212.png
Why Scizor?
Because is my favorite pokemon since G/S, very powerful and acces to a priority move. After a fews SD Scizor hits and hits hard, and when the HP is running low Roost makes Scizor healty again even Magnezone and Heatran can be KO'ed with good prediction.

heatran.png

Heatran @ Shuca Berry
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 128 HP / 168 Spd / 212 SpA
Modest Nature (+SpA, -Atk)
- Magma Storm
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Earth Power
- Taunt

485.png
Why Heatran?
Sinergy with Scizor, with good prediction this guy can come in, activate the Fire Flash and trap a pokemon with Magma Storm to be removed with their respective counter or taunt it . It sounds crazy but this pokemon is my principal counter for Swampert(HP Grass^^). Sometimes I use Earth Power at random when I see another Heatran come.

zapdos.png

Zapdos @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 Def / 252 Spd / 252 SpA
Modest Nature (+SpA, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Heat Wave
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Roost
145.png
Why Zapdos?

Because i need a special sweeper, Zapdos can switch into a EQ and destroy alot of weak pokemons with thunderbolt and heat waves, and when a ground or rock pokemon its switched Zapdos have the opportunity to use Roost (to neutralize the LO recoil), then remove the threat with HP Grass.

shaymin.png

Shaymin @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 220 Def / 36 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Seed Flare
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Rest
- Aromatherapy

492.png
Why Shaymin?
First, because i need a status absorber my pokemons hates paralysis and burn, second, the idea of absorb status with rest (or Aromatherapy) and then switch Shaymin to neutralize rest with my HP full is great. With Shaymin i can kill unaware steel, ice, bug and grass pokes(the last 3 Shaymin's weakness bar flying), first let then set up while you removes status then HP Fire to burn'em all.

That's all, comments and suggestions are accepted.

Okay-I question the use of a toxic spiker without a SRer, especially with this team.
I have two recommendations.
1) Switch you Heatrans set to this:
Heatran @ Leftovers
~ Substitute
~ Torment
~ Protect
~ Lava Plume / Taunt
Calm / 244 HP / 32 SpA / 12 SpD / 220 Spe
Read the strategy on the strategydex, then abuse it. It goes perfectly with Toxic Spikes support. Also, you really need Stealth Rock for this offensive kind of team.
2) Switch your lead to this:
Infernape @ Focus Sash
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 64 Atk / 192 Spe / 252 SpA
Naive Nature (+Spe, -SpD)
- Fake Out
- Close Combat
- Fire Blast
- Stealth Rock
It can reliably get stealth rock up, and kill most common leads. It gives you good Syenergy, as well as momentum. Please try this out and tell me what you think. I think it should go much better with your team.

I concur with the above poster but given your team's lack of a reliable Rock resist and semi-weakness to Infernape and DD Dragonite, I feel that Swampert makes a better choice for your lead.

The following set is a good choice for your team:

Swampert@Leftovers
- Stealth Rock
- Roar
- Earthquake
- Avalanche

It can set-up Stealth Rock rather reliably, especially since Infernape and Heatran are being employed more commonly as leads and Swampert matches up well against them. It can also stick around until late-game to tank hits from Tyranitar and the abovementioned threats.

You might also want to consider using Substitute Heatran instead, because it can eliminate Fire-types that Shaymin hates and Grass-types that Zapdos hates. By setting up a sub, you can hit out with a powerful LO Fire Blast or Earth Power. It seems more beneficial than Magma Storm since the main purpose of that set is to trap and kill bulky waters and Blissey. Considering that Zapdos and Shaymin both thrive against bulky waters and Blissey is handled via LO Explosion anyway, I don't see the merit of using HeaTrap.

Please consider this set:

Heatran@Life Orb
- Substitute
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Explosion

All the best!

Thanks for the suggestions!

i will try TormentTran and Swampert Lead

Your current Shaymin set is good, but you should test out this one. With Toxic Spikes, Leech Seed Shaymin is unbeatable!

Shaymin @ Leftovers
Timid Nature
EVs: 252 HP/68 SpA/188 Spe
-Leech Seed
-Seed Flare
-Protect
-HP Fire/Substitute

The goal of this set is relatively simple. You can either go for a Subseed set or OHKO incoming Scizor with HP Fire. If you prefer SubSeed use Timid 252 HP/4 SpA/252 Spe.

I suggest either Hidden Power Rock or AncientPower on Yanmega instead of Hidden Power Ground, as you need a move to counter the famous Aerodactyl leads.
