Team Blade Runner (Rate My OU TEAM!)

Introduction: This team has given me alot of success, so far on Shoddy and on DS i have 5 losses and 19 wins, but i still seem to have some weaknesses. My team is a mix of Physically defensive and Physical Attack(other than Heatran)

Things about this team to look at:
Three are immune to TS
One is weak to SR ; 2 resist it

LEAD

AZELF@Focus Sash

487.png

Nature: Naive
Ability: Levitate
252 Spe/252 Sp Att/4 Att

Move 1: Stealth Rock
Move 2: Psychic
Move 3: Taunt
Move 4: Explosion

This is my lead, it almost always sets up SR with its 115 base speed and maxed speed ev's. Once it sets up SR, it can Psychic, or if it is at low hp, it can use Explosion. I might exchange Explosion for T-Bolt to take care of any Skarmory and Gyarados that switch in. Ghost and dark attacks can be absorbed with either Suicune or Hippowdon.

Azelf vs Common Leads

Aerodactyl: Although it is faster, Azelf can 2HKO w/ Psychic. Can get very annoying, though

Azelf: Against other Azelf, I usually do fine, outspeeding non-max speed variants, using Taunt to stop SR, setting up SR then Exploding

Bronzong: Not really a threat, use taunt, SR then switch to Heatran

Forretress: Same as above

Gyarados: Taunt, SR, Psychic, hope that it doesnt kill me with Crunch, as none of my other pokemon can effectively counter it.

Heatran: Set up SR and go into Dusknoir if it wants to Explode

Infernape: Taunt, SR, OHKO w/Psychic

Jirachi: Very annoying. I can outspeed it and get to set up SR, but it resists all of my attack and can do alot of damage with Flash Cannon, but Heatran can take care of it.

Mamoswine: Pretty annoying, but as I am immune to EQ, it is alot less threatening.

Smeargle: Use Taunt before it can spore me. Taunt makes it useless as Smeargle never carry an attack move. Get free SR up after Taunt.

Starmie: Another reason I need T-Bolt. Speed tie, Psychic isnt really effective.

Swampert: Get SR up, 2HKO w/ Psychic

Weavile: The worst lead i could ever match up against. Outspeeds me leaves me w/ 1hp with a night slash.

Heatran@Choice Scarf
490.png

Nature: Modest
Ability: Flash Fire
252 HP/252 Sp.Att/4 Spe

Move 1: Fire Blast
Move 2:Explosion
Move 3: Dragon Pulse
Move 4: Earth Power

I'm sorry for quoting the analysis, but ScarfTran is THE ultimate revenge killer. Has a 4X resistance to Bullet Punch and Ice shard. Can hit pretty mich anything for at least neutral damage. Definately a very important player in my team. It has trouble with Earthquake, though as many pokemon carry it, and it is 4X weak to it, so it is pretty much a OHKO if it gets hit by Earthquake from anyone, but can outspeed and kill many pokemon before they get an Earthquake off.

Machamp@Lum Berry
68.png

Nature: Adamant
Ability: No guard
252 HP/252 Att/4 Spe

Move 1: Dynamicpunch
Move 2: Payback
Move 3: Substitute
Move 4: Ice punch

This thing is just great, but has been getting alot of shit from the Analysis Workshop. It hits over half of OU for super-effective damage, including, Tyranitar, Weavile, Zapdos, Salamence, Dragonite, Latias, Gliscor, Alakazam, Azelf, Porygon-Z, Blissey I could go on and on. I might change this for a Rotom form, but I'm not sure yet. The Ev's are so it can stay alive long, have great attack power, and outspeed non Speed ev'd Blissey and other base speed 55 Pokemon. I might substitute Ice punch for stone edge, but so far Ice punch has been working pretty well for me.

Dusknoir@Leftovers
482.png

Nature:Impish
Ability:Pressure
252 HP/252 Att/4 Def
(Changed from 252 Sp Def/252 Att/ 4 HP as suggested by Cuiv to increase special durability)

Move 1: Dynamicpunch
Move 2: Pain Split
Move 3: Gravity
Move 4: Will-O-Wisp

This thing is amazing. Gravity makes Dynamicpunch have 82% accuracy, and makes Will-O-Wisp have 100% acuuracy, so that is a 100% chance to cause damage every turn and lower a pokemons defense, and 82% to cause confusion, backed up with 100 base power. 2HKOES Blissey with Dynamicpunch w/ Stealth Rock damage. It just kills physical pokemon like Salamence and Gyara to be burned and have their Attack cut.

Zapdos@Leftovers(Physically Defensive)
145.png

Nature:Bold
Ability:Pressure
252 Def/252 Sp Att/4 Spe

Move 1: Thunderbolt
Move 2: Heat Wave
Move 3: Hidden Power Ice
Move 4: Roost

The combination of Thunderbolt/Heat Wave/HP Ice is resisted by nothing, so this Zapdos can hit everything with at least neutral damage. OHKO's Scizor and Forretress, OHKO's Gliscor, Salamence, Dragonite, Garchomp, OHKO's Gyarados, Skarmory. Need I say anything more?

Suicune@Leftovers(Crocune)
245.png

Nature:Bold
Ability:Pressure
252 Def/252 Hp/252 Sp Def

Move 1: Surf
Move 2: Rest
Move 3: Sleep Talk
Move 4: Calm Mind

Beastly. Really the only thing that can counter this after 3 CM's is a Vaporeon, which I can handle with Zapdos. After 3 CM's a STAB Surf from Crocune demolishes everything that doesnt resist it. With a 1/3 chance of selecting surf on Sleep Talk, which isnt very high to say the least, and when it selects Rest, it doesnt do anything, you may not really like the chances, but I've had pretty good luck with this thing so far. If swept 4 Pokemon with this Suicune after a few CM's, and most of them could otherwise dominate my team, so I don't think I'm getting rid of this Suicune anytime soon.

Criticism/Comments much appreciated!

your dusknoir spread is very inefficient. maxing out your HP will give you the same physical durability while giving you MUCH more special durability

But I want it to be able to take out Blissey before it can Toxic or Thunder Wave me, and without that attack power, it would be a 3HKO at the least

No, drop the Defense EVs for HP EVs. Investing in HP over Defense gives you the same physical bulk but much greater special bulk. The Attack EVs are fine. But Gravity-Dynamicpunch is a very weak combo all by itself. Teams are often built around Gravity, which can be very strong, but using it as a one-shot the way you do is inefficient to say the least.

Also Zapdos is weak to SR, not sure why you say nothing is.

I dont want to drop the Defense Evs for Dusknoir because thats what he is on my team, a Physical Wall, so no Defense Evs would be kinda stupid

No, it wouldn't be. Putting the EVs into HP would be more efficient because you get the SAME Physical Durability with MORE Special Durability, making it a better wall overall.
