Team Bog Standard an OU RMT

This team i have been using for about a week now and it has been doing very well.
I have a 28-2 record with this team, so its been doing really good

The Lead

metagross.png

Metagross@ occa berry
Adamant,252atk 252spe 6hp
Bullet punch
Meteor Mash
Explosion
Earthquake

Ahh Metagross you are my best lead ever. I use him because of the fact that he easily kills most leads with ease. Meteor mash plus bullet bunch equals dead azelf (although trick azelfs are annoying). Occa berry plus earthquake=dead leadape or heatran. Plus two bullet punches kills aerodactyl with ease. Some of the more annoying pokemon for metagross is hippowdon, swampert, bronzong, and forretress.

The Wall

swampert.png

Swampert@ Leftovers
Relaxed, 240hp 194def 20spe 56Spa
Stealth Rock
Roar
Surf
Earthquake

Swampert is a great wall/supporter for my team. He sets up rocks with ease and then racks up residual damage using roar. Plus he is a great gyarados counter. Earthquake and surf are their for good coverage.
Swampert has trouble with Breloom and other various grass types.

My First Physical Sweeper

gyarados.png

Gyarados@ Lum Berry
Adamant, 6hp 252atk 252spe
Dragon Dance
Bounce
Waterfall
Stone Edge

A standard Gyarados at first glance, but then you take a second look and you see the move bounce. Bounce s a great stab move on Gyarados to do a good amount of damge after a dd to pokemon like swampert and scizor. Bounce also takes care of Celebi OHKOing most of them (Except for very defensive ones). Pokemon that trouble Gyarados include rotom forms, which most of the time I stay in and use waterfall to do a hefty amount of damage to and then i send out one of my other pokemon for the kill.

The Second Physical Sweeper

scizor.png

Scizor@ Choice Band
Adamant 252atk 6hp 252spe
Bullet Punch
Superpower
Pursuit
U-Turn

I bet you've never seen this set before! This is guy truly reflects my title being he is the most overused pokemon today. Nothing really to talk about since all of you know what he is capable of :)
Well the only three pokes that give me problems are Heatran, Royom formes, and Magnezone.

My Special Attacker

infernape.png

Infernape@ Life orb
Naive 252Spa 192spe 64atk
HP ice
Grass Knot
Flamethrower
Close Combat

This guy has saved me time and time again, mainly due to the fact that he hits so many pokemon for supereffective damage. He does about 67% to the standard crocue with grass knot a solid 2HKO. Hp ice is nice to hit salmence and other dragons very hard. Close combat is just for blissey, who otherwise wall me enteirly. Oh and i eventually got rid of fire blast for flamethroer because fire blast's poor accuracy made me lose those two mathes.

My Revenge Killer

flygon.png

Flygon@ Choce Scarf
Naughty 252atk 252spe 6spa
Outrage
Earthquake
U-Turn
Fire Blast

The point of Flygon is to mop up what my other pokes had left behind. He is normally only shown in the late game when he can pick off weakened opponets with ease. Oh and I chose fire Blast to roast skarmory.

Oh and this is my first RMT so im open to suggestions on how to improve the ones i plan on posting in the future.

Nice team, and as you said it's pretty standard. But I see a pretty big issue with the Stone Edge version of SD Lucario. To fix that, there are a few things I'd suggest. One, I would make your Gyarados the bulky version from the analysis, if you want to keep bounce then use it over the second attack mentioned. By using taunt, you no longer really need Lum Berry, so you can add Leftovers and ease the pain of that 25% from SR. Next, you could go for Mach Punch on Infernape over HP Ice. You already have dragons pretty well handled, and this would be your only reliable check to it.

Good Luck with your team, and test out my changes!

Problems:

SD Lucario
Taunt DD Gyarados

How to fix:

Hunt already mentioned your weakness to it, but I will second another threat its Gyarados. With one DD, almost nothing safe can switch in on it except for Swampert, who has nothing that can hurt it, especially when it carries Taunt. Most Taunt Gyrados are bulky and they can take the team nicely. Openings? Scizor and locked in Earthquake from Flygon. I will make a Rotom suggestion, yet again:

Rotom-H
@ Choice Scarf
Timid Nature (Spe+ / Atk-)
252 Hp / 6 SpA / 252 Spe

- Thunderbolt
- Overheat
- Shadow Ball
- Trick

Replacement for Swampert: Scarf Rotom really does help alot when checking Gyarados and SD Lucario. The EVs are provided that Rotom can take a good beating when Gyarados predicts a switch-in and nails you with Waterfall. The same goes for Lucario, Rotom can survive a Stone Edge unboosted. Basically you outpace +2 bulky Gyarados and Ko it with thunderbolt while Overheat scares Lucario everytime. Shadow Ball is filler, but it mainly hits Latias who will come in on Trick, Overheat, and Thunderbolt from my experience. Trick screws with Blissey and such, helping out your entire team.

With that being said, I'd opt Explosion or EQ for Stealth Rock on Metagross, which is a replacement for Swampert. Scizors needs to stick with 246 HP and put 8 Spe. The added speed contradicts the statement "slow u-turn". Slow U-turn is what makes Scizor special, scouting out on faster Pokemon. Go for Naive on Flygon, as it speed ties with +1 Salamence.

As for other options go, I'd want to go give SD or NP Ape a try, to sweep a team better. Rotom is a potential pursuit bait, helping out Ape establish a SD or NP, which everone you feel like using. overall gl with this.

I was going to suggest a Rotom form to help you counter Gyara and Luke. Use Franky's set, I think it will help you a lot. On your Scizor, I may ask you why you are running max speed? If you are trying to outrun other Scizor, switch the EV spread to this:

240 HP, 252 Attack, 16 Speed

I always run this EV spread on Scizor. It gives me an HP stat still not divisible by 8, while it allows me to outrun other Scizor and beat them to the U-Turn. It dosent let you outrun SD variants but because the Choice Band set is the most popular, its probably the better idea. On
