TEAM BRYLADOS

First off I would like to apologize because I am relatively new to both the game and these forums. I understand their are stringent rules for posting a rmt on this forum. But unfortunately I lack the know how and the strategy to post paragraphs explaining my work. So likely i will get yelled at but I will try my hardest to make it a decent quality and for you guys to know what I am doing and my goals and a threat list.

Team Idea: I wanted to utilize my two my favorite sweepers when they get stat bonuses; Breloom and Gyarados. Their late and mid game abilities in my mind are amazing.

I also for now am trying to stick to the common 2 wall 2 sweepers 2 tanks and one of each type, special and physical, mentality. But i've altered it slightly for this team treating priority move users and scarfers as sweepers and a tank as a wall.

My Goal: Get either gyarados or breloom to set up or to the final three pokemon because they can be very difficult to counter. From here they will dominate To do this i need to eliminate their counters and pokemon that can use eletric attacks and flying attacks. Also rock type too. Otherwise they can cover for each other at the end.

I realize this team has counters for 95% of the dangerous threats out their but it is often times one pokemon covers two pokemon and I need to imrpove. So all advice is nice and wanted.

:pimp: Total team laid out:
Leadape, Swordance breloom, Offensive suicune, Bulky gyardos, scarfed magnezone, and life orb mamoswine.

Team: :toast:
Lead:
Infernape
Hasty 4 hp/252 speed/ 252 attk
Blaze Focus sash
- fake out
- close combat
- fireblast
- stealth rock

Standard lead nape takes out most common leads and can be used later in the game. Most likely to pull water or flying types out of them. So then it goes to suicune. He can handle late gme lucario. I prefer him because he can own almost all the leads out thier barring swampert whom breloom covers well.

His fake out deals with focus sashes, and the other two attack moves gives decent coverage across the board. Stealth rock is to prevent the opponent from switching around too much, which can ruin my team.

I often use him to kill the first lead and keep him as an ace in the hole to deal with scizors and various pokes down the road.

Suicune
Timid 4 hp/252 sp attk/252 sp. def
Left overs/ pressure
- calm mind
- hp electric
- surf
- ice beam

This thing is a beast and spends most of the game being my sponge it can take a hit and dish it right back out. It lasts a while and will take atleast one poke down with it. It is most likely to attract electric and grass moves and in that case it goes to breloom or magnezone.

His main job is to draw out the pokemon that could take out gyardos later on and he does so wonderfully often times killing tem or severely wounding them.

I mentioned before that I like to keep a 2 wall set up. Here is the second wall in my team. I made him offensive because i think he can take hits just fine and deal them out well. He is used as a wall. I chose this set over the rest sleep talk set because of the pace of my game i don't generally want to slow it down or i am afraid they might set up on me. In case you can't notice I don't have many great counters if i get set up on so I have his moves for great coverage.

Breloom
adament 4 hp/252 attk/252 speed
Toxic heal toxi orb
- spore
- mach punch
- seed bomb
- swords dance

This guy is either my wall breaker, revenge killer or ace in the hole either way he does his job nicely. he can't take hit and i don't expect him to normally except maybe the lucky switch in. Depending on what type of pokemon is going to attack him i switch normally. I want to keep this guy alive. If it's fire i go to suicune or gyarados/ electric go to magnezone, ice it's mamoswine. or ground it goes to gyarados.

If the game isn't going well I will bring him out. If it is a stall team i will break him out early along with suicune. He will be able to set up on walls and i can punch a great hole through their team.

I chose this set because i want to be able to set up on slow opponents. Mach punch is great for revenge killing plus it has STAB. Seed bomb has STAB and it provides ok coverage. spore and sword dance are kind of self explanitary.

Mamowswine
adament 4 def/ 252 attack/ 252 speed/
Life orb hail cloak
- ice shard
- super power
- eq
- rockslide

This guy is also a revenge killer and dragon. with his monstterous attack barely anything can take a decent hit from hit. I might scarf him just so he can nail pretty much anything but I would like your ideas. fire attacks go to suicune ground goes to gyarados

I chose a life orb set because i didn't want to restrict my team with too many choice items. His priority STAB moves is enough to kill dragons and revenge kill. I chose super power to help with my steel problem. Earthquake also helps deal with this. Rockslide seems kind of redundant to me but i am not sure what to put on there instead.

This guy is not to deal with sweepers unless he can revenge them or sponge the hit.

Most things that can wall mamoswine are dealt with by my next poke

Magnezone
Naive 252 speed/ 252 sp attk/ 4 health
magnet pull choice scarf
- explosion
- thunderbolt
- flash cannon
- hidden power fire

This guy is my steel killer try to lock them in if they kill another poke and wipe them out with hp fire. He can explode for a good revenge kill or wall busting and has t-bolt for those pesky waters and flash cannon is pretty too.
HP fire is to kill steels.

I've had suggestion to improve his ev's so he can take a brick break.

Finally my main goal. Hopefully by now i've ridded of all walls and sweepers capable of using rockslide and electric attacks so i can now use my gyarados

Bulky gyarados
Adament 156 HP / 72 Atk / 96 Def / 184 Spe
leftovers intimidate
-dragon dance
- t-wave/ taunt u tell me what u think
- waterfall
- Earthquake

This guy is meant to clean house and finish up where the others left off. it has taunt to kill any walls and the other moves provide good coverage.
His job is to set up dragon dance and clean house. His stats allow him to take a decent hit and keep going. Hopefully by now all those that can stall him out are hopefully gone and sweeper don't really stand a chance after a dragon dance.

Well this is my team and thank you for your time any advice would be very nice and have a good day.

I will now provide a threat list and how i plan to deal with each one. all from ou.

Aerodactyl: my lead handles it fake out and fire blast
Azelf: my lead can handle it fake out and fire blast it should kill it before it causes too many probems
Blissey: I pray for this guy to show his face on anyone but suicune.
Breloom: my mamoswine can handle him if he isn't scarved, if he is scarved my magnezone can take him out.
bronzong: my team can set up on him, breloom owns him and so does magnezone
celebi: there it's a member of my team beyond gyarados that cant kill him
Dragonite: mamoswine, suicune
dusknoir: i just have to fight through him also i can set up on him assuming he isnt packing will o wisp other wise it's breloom
Electrivire: He gets mach punched even with his speed up. Infernape too
Emploeon: magnezne owns him also suicune
Flygon: suicune and mamoswine
Forrestress: How is he lol. But suicune and magnezone. he also set up bait for breloom
Gengar: No hard counters i just have to out speed him and predict for scarf sets. but ice shard should help
GLiscor: mamoswine and suicune
Gyarados: my magnezone takes him and so does suicune:
Heatran: the bane of my team, my bulky waters and mamoswine can handle him but decent prediction is needed
Heracross: mamoswine suicune and certain sets breloom can take
Hippodown: lead infernape can kill with fireblast and the rest of my team is equipped barring magnezone
infernape: lead: my nape is normally faster but if it's not it goes to suicune
mix: suicune hopefully it doesn't have hp electric or grass otherwise i'm done but i can use pririty moves on it and explode using magnezone if necessary physical: same as before except suicune handles it
Jirachi: Magnezone and infernape
Jolteon: breloom does nice and infernape can do some work
Kingdra: my bulky waters and magnezone can take him
Lucario: my magnezone does nice against him and so does suicune but i am spotty on this guy
machamp: set up bait for breloom and pretty everyone can out speed him
magnezone: my magnezone and infernape can take him
mamosine: suicune magnezone and infernape have him covered
metagross: my bulky pokes can wear him down and magnezone works him
ninjask: not even gonna bother
Roserade: lead nape other magnezone and mamoswine
Rotom: honestly i don't understand the forms or their functions so i don't know
Salamence: suicune and mamoswine
Scizor: my magnezone handles him plus infernape. Aslo suicune take a decent hit
Skarm: magnezone and most my pokes can set up on him. gyarados makes him a set up bait
smeargle: mach punch and ice shard he won't take it
snorlax: same as blissey
Starmie: magnezone and but more likely suicune they can trade blows until starmie wins and then i can revenge kill
suicune: suicune and magnezone handles it
swampert: breloom
tentacruel: magnezone and suicune
togekiss: magnezone suicune and mamoswine
TTAR: mamoswine, breloom, and suicune
umbreon: i set up on him and use breloom.
vaporeon see suicune
weaville: mamoswine, breloom, magnezone
zapdos: mamoswine and otherwise he'll kill me

THank you for reading and any adivce is greatly appreciated.

I've gone 15 and 3 with this team which is great for me but any chance i can have to improve is nice. I've done some play testing and i could have won those matches if i had been a better player.

Well it's been about two days and no reply yet, so I think I am allowed to bump it and I am doing so. Sorry if this makes anyone angry but I really need some advice with my team. Also this teams record now is 20 and 7. Which is decent for me.

While Gyarados is a good pokemon as the sweeper, I feel like a DD Mence would really be better as a replacement of gyarados for the sweeper spot on your team. With your team already prepared against the bulky waters (cune and breloom) and the steels (magnezone and ape for lesser extent), and a dragon revenge killer...kinda (mamo..though I don't particularly like him too much but if it works it should be fine), Mence would serve as a great asset to your team.

Thank you for the advice!

Ok while at this point I am pretty much considering mence going to ubers based on personal prediction. I would go with a dragon dance standard for him, if I were to use him. But do you think dragonite would work instead. His bulk plus his ability to absorb water would be nice.

I'd use this set
Dragonite life orb adament
252 HP / 52 Atk / 204 Spe
~ Dragon Dance
~ Dragon Claw
~ Earthquake (just incase they have a steels left - jirachi)
~ extremespeed

Also I was wondering what do you think would work better than mamoswine in this case. He's pretty good but it always seems like he gets one shotted

Also I'd like to add sprites to my topic but don't know how if someone could please explain that it would be nice
