XY OU Team Bunny!

Ok, first off, this is my second thread on Smogon, and my first RMT. So please correct me if I made some mistakes and I will try to improve on them and learn from my mistakes :)
Also, I am really bad at Pokemon Showdown! because I started 1 year ago, and have been trying out different teams, so my rating is really low. My highest rating ever was 1250 or something, I'm not really good with EV's so I just chose the recommended spread except when I disagreed with it. I called my team: Team Bunny because I like bunnies :D

Team Building History:
I started with Mienshao because I wanted to try him out. I also wanted to try Honchkrow out so I added him too.

I needed a hazards setter, so I decided to use Heatran.

I had used Weavile successfully before so I put him on my team.

My team was weak to stealth rocks so I needed a spinner. I chose Starmie.

After some testing I realized I didn't like Starmie all that much, so I changed Starmie to Excadrill as my spinner.

I realized I also had a big weakness to fighting types so I used Aegislash because he is immune to fighting.

And the team was finished!

In Detail:
mienshao.png

Mienshao @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Knock Off
- Fake Out
- Drain Punch

This is basically a normal Mienshao set except I have Drain Punch over High Jump Kick. Even though I have Regenerator, I used Drain Punch over High Jump Kick because I don't like the recoil crash damage. Also, Drain Punch + Regenerator helps me regain more health. I put max EVs into attack and speed so that Mienshao can be a very strong and fast sweeper, although he is sort of frail.
weavile.png

Weavile @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ice Shard
- Night Slash
- Brick Break
- Icicle Crash

This is also a fairly standard Weavile set except I have Night Slash over Knock off. I think I should change it but I am not sure. Ice Shard is Weavile's STAB priority, and Brick Break is for hitting steels. The EVs are the same as Mienshao, for the same reason.
honchkrow.png

Honchkrow @ Life Orb
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Naughty Nature
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Sucker Punch
- Superpower

This set is a simple Life Orb set, Brave Bird is really strong, Sucker Punch STAB Priority, Super Power is used to take dark types by surprise, and the stat drops aren't that bad because normally I can KO someone, so I get a Moxie boost and it cancels out. Honchkrow is frail anyway, so the defense drop doesn't really matter that much. Roost is for recovery, and I chose it over Heat Wave, because Heat Wave is normally hitting Ferrothorn, but amazingly it can't OHKO Ferrothorn. Super Power is a 2HKO too, so it doesn't really matter, but the stat drops can be annoying. Maybe someone could help me with that?

0- SpA Life Orb Honchkrow Heat Wave vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Ferrothorn: 291-348 (82.6 - 98.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
excadrill.png

Excadrill @ Air Balloon
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rapid Spin
- Swords Dance

Typical Excadrill set, he is my spinner, so obviously he needs Rapid Spin, he has an air balloon and that may give him some free turns to set up swords dance or maybe rapid spin. Erfquake and Iron Head for STAB, he is my main check against Fairies, except Azumarill and some others. The EVs give him lots of bulk, and if lucky, he could sweep with his high attack stat.
aegislash-shield.png

Aegislash @ Leftovers
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Iron Head
- Shadow Sneak
- Swords Dance
- King's Shield

As I said earlier in the Team Building History, Aegislash is my main counter against fighting types. He's immune to their attacks, and can use King's Shield to drop their attack. His set is standard, but I gave him Leftovers because I couldn't think of anything else. Swords Dance is used if he gets the chance to set up and sweep, but it's rare that that happens. The EVs are a bit weird, but I put 252 in attack because his attack stats can be boosted sky high if he is in his other forme. 252 goes in speed to outspeed someone I don't know, and 4 HP because I don't know where else to put it. (See, told you I suck with EVs.)
heatran.png

Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 Def / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Modest Nature
- Lava Plume
- Earth Power
- Stealth Rock
- Will-O-Wisp

This is my main rocks setter upper, he has Lava Plume over Flamethrower for the burn chance, but I think I should change it to Flamethrower because it's a bit redundant with WoW? Earth Power is his STAB, and WoW for shutting down physical attackers that could sweep my team.

Conclusion:

Overall, I think this team is not that bad, although I have a bad score with it. I feel it has potential, and I hope people with more experience can help me improve this team. Thanks :)

Team Bunny!!

Hey, cool team there. Looking at your team, Honchcrow is your main sweeper, with Mienshao and Aegislash acting as breakers to wear down opposing pokemon so as to allow Honchkrow the first kill, setting up a Moxie sweep. Heatran makes a great lead for you, setting up Stealth Rock and walling some ice types that could potentially take Honchkrow. Weavile makes a great revenge killer, with its superb speed and priority, and Excadrill acts as a Rapid Spinner and an Offensive Pivot at the same time. Your team is pretty neat, but I have some suggestions.

I'll start with Honchkrow. Your set is great, and your EVs are fine as well, but I don't know why you put a Naughty nature on it. Adamant and Jolly would be far superior, as one raises attack and the other raises speed. As this is a Moxie sweeper, I suggest running Jolly over Adamant because it needs speed to take the first kill, and set up a sweep.

For your Weavile, I recommend Knock Off over Night Slash because Knock Off not only has higher power with its effect, but its effect gets rid of your opponents item, which can be crucial in most battles. I also suggest Ice Punch over Icicle Crash, because although Icicle Crash has higher base power, it has 90% percent accuracy and the miss in an important part of the battle can be the difference between winning and loosing.

With Excadrill, I suggest using Rock Slide over Swords Dance, as without Rock coverage he gets destroyed by pokemon like Talonflame, Skarmory, Charizard, and M-Pinsir. Also, he wouldn't find many opportunities to sweep with Swords Dance, as he is not the fastest Pokemon and will not be able to sweep.

Aegislash is an extremely slow Pokemon, so running speed on it seems to be a bit of a waste, because even with max speed he doesn't outspeed anyone important. I suggest putting all the speed EVs in HP instead, and the remaining 4 in Special Defense.

Your Mienshao set is fine as it is, but on your Heatran I think you should change its spread to 252 HP/ 252 SpD / 4 SpA with a Calm nature. This is because it is important that heatran has a good amount of Special Defense investment so as to live more special attacks. As for Lava Plume vs Flamethrower, I strongly suggest Lava Plume as the burn chance is very nice, and while it does seem to be made redundant by Will-O-Wisp, there is always the chance to burn on the switch when you attack, instead of having to use an extra turn to use Will-O-Wisp.

But other than that, your team is great. Honchkrow is a very under rated threat, as well as Weavile and Mienshao, so its cool to see them being used together. This team has the potential to be extremely threatening once a few odds and ends have been tied out, so I hope this helps with that!

With the amount of fighting types in OU the team seems to have a glaring weakness to that with only one stop to it being aegislash. Infernape can do damage to the team especially if it is scarf as it outspeed all other pokemon are team and OHKO most of them. To counter this I think a clefable could be good to your team as it has access to stealth rocks works as ether a special wall or physical wall and has good synergy with Excadrill being immune to poison. It also can help your team deal with set up sweepers having access to unaware and you can opt to run wish to pass onto the breakers and sweepers of the team that have been weakened. Just a suggestion to try out let me know what you think of it.

Thanks for replying! That sounds really good. Who do you suggest for me to take out for Clefable? Heatran or Aegislash? Passing wishes seems good since Weavile does not have any reliable recovery. What set do you think I opt to run?

You could put Stealth Rock on Excadrill in place of Swords Dance, which means you can take out Heatran and replace it with Clefable. As for the set, Moonblast, Protect, Wish, Calm Mind with 252 SpA/ 252 HP/ 4 SpD is the most common Wish passing set.

Take out heatran and use physically defensive clefable with stealth rocks, flamethrower , moonblast and either wish or soft boiled with bold nature and either magic guard or unaware with 252 Hp 252 def and 4 spA

Ok thanks guys! Sorry ssjjynx I didn't see your first post. I like the idea of Stealth Rocks on Excadrill, but how would I fit Rock Slide on then? Will work on your suggestions right now!

Thanks alot everyone! Broke my record, now my highest rating ever is 1285 OU :D Thanks for the suggestions, they've really helped my team alot.
ssjjynx I tried Rock Slide in place of Swords Dance, and took out Heatran for the Clefable set. It's been working really well!
