Team Code Geass! Currently Peaked At 13th on Ubers

locopoke

Banned deucer.
Well, I made this team a few weeks ago and it's been great. I've climbed the ladder and peaked at 13th on my alt known as Shin Chan, all thanks to this team. But sadly, I didn't quite do so well in the Tour this weekend, so I've decided to retire it and hopefully make a more, less mainstream team. But before doing so, I'd like to post it here for you all to look at, and possibly give me some advice on it, or just your thoughts on the team in general. Anyway, enough talking. Here it is.

Zero (Darkrai) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Bad Dreams
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Dark Void
- Dark Pulse
- Focus Blast
- Trick

This is the standard Darkrai lead, but there's a reason that it's so standard. That reason is because it works wonders, and that's why I decided to use it for this team. It's able to easily cripple Deoxys-E by using Trick and giving it Choice Scarf. At this point my opponent will most likely switch out, which is why the next move I use will be Dark Void. That means that the Pokemon that comes in will be put to sleep. So far I've crippled two of my opponents Pokemon with just one of mine, which puts me at a huge advantage at this point in the game, and opens a door full of opportunities. The only real counter for this lead are things like Honchkrow and Primeape, which you don't see much in Ubers.

In Code Geass, Zero is Lelouch's alter ego, and the leader of the Black Knights. Zero's mission is to take down Britannia and create a peaceful world for his sister Nunnally to grow up in and be safe. Zero is calm, intelligent, and an excellent leader for the Black Knights, often leading them to many victories against Britannia.

Cheese Kun (Wobbuffet) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 28 HP/228 Def/252 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Mirror Coat
- Counter
- Encore
- Tickle

Watch out, because Wobbuffet has arrived! What's an Uber team without Wobbuffet? Lately this guy has been on teams left and right, and I don't blame people for using him. He's a great alternative to any Uber team, and is guarenteed to take down at least one Pokemon per game if used correctly. Unlike other Wobbuffet's, I chose to use Tickle instead of Charm or Safeguard. The reason being, is that it helps to set up with Rayquaza. Not only that, but with at least -4 Defense, Scizor can come in and OHKO with Pursuit. Wobbuffet is essential to this team, and does an amazing job.

Cheese-Kun is basically a mascott for Pizza Hut. The show Code Geass sponsors Pizza Hut in Japan, and "Cheese-Kun" is a doll that C.C carries around with her. It's cute and cuddly just like Wobbuffet.

dpmfsa384.png

Gawain (Rayquaza) @ Life Orb
Ability: Air Lock
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Extremespeed
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake

This is the infamous Swords Dancing Rayquaza. This thing is a pure beast, and this team wouldn't be as good without him. With only +2 Attack, Rayquaza is able to kill off Pokemon left and right, depending on the Pokemon in my opponents team of course. Wobbuffet often helps Rayquaza set up with either Tickle or Encoring an Earthquake. Though Rayquaza may be great, there are many things that stop him. Groudon is 3HKO'd by a +2 Attack Dragon Claw, which means Rayquaza has no chance at stopping him. Scarfed Palkia and Dialga can also put a stop to Rayquaza, as Palkia has a chance of living a +2 Attack Extreme Speed and striking back with Spacial Rend.

Gawain.gif

Gawain is a knightmare operated by C.C and Zero. It's a very powerful knightmare, but unfortunetely, it was destroyed during the Season 1 finale. Later in the series, the Black Knights construct a newer version of Gawain known as Shinkryu.

dpmfa212.png

Guren (Scizor) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 176 HP/100 Atk/56 Spd/176 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Roost
- Pursuit
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch

My next Pokemon is Scizor, and I didn't have much trouble at all chosing him for the team. I'm using the It's A Trap! set, and it works great in conjunction with Wobbuffet's Tickle. It's pretty easy to understand. Wobbuffet gets a Pokemon like Blissey, for example, caught in Encore, and then begins to Tickle, lowering it's Attack and Defense. After 4 or 5 times, I'll switch to Scizor, and KO it with Pursuit whether it switches or not. It's almost a full-proof strategy, it hardly ever fails to deliver a KO. Scizor also makes a decent revenge-killer, and is great for switching in and blocking Toxic.

The Guren is a Knightmare operated by Kallen of the Black Knights. It has a powerful claw that can rip through opponents easily. This is only one of its models. It's constantly being upgraded with new and more powerful weapons.

-----------------------------------------------------------

dpmfa484.png

Gloucester (Palkia) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Surf
- Thunder
- Spacial Rend
- Fire Blast

Palkia is an important member of this team, and is my main source of revenge killing. Scarf allows it to reach 492 Speed, which is enough to outrun Rayquaza after a Dragon Dance, along with Groudon after a Rock Polish. Thanks to Kyogre, Surf gets a power boost, and helps Kyogre be even more of a threat to my opponent. The most annoying Pokemon for Palkia to deal with is usually Blissey, seeing as Palkia can't touch it at all, and my team has trouble switching into status.

In Code Geass, Gloucester is operated by Cornelia, a commander in the Britannian Army. Gloucester wields a powerful lance and a machine gun, and has taken down many opponents.

----------------------------------------------------------------

dpmfsa382.png

Mordred (Kyogre) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Water Spout
- Surf
- Thunder
- Ice Beam

Kyogre can make a huge dent in my opponents team if used correctly. Specs Kyogre is possibly the most powerful sweeper in the whole game. At full health, Water Spout can easily 2HKO Blissey even without Stealth Rock damage. Though, because of Choice Specs, Kyogre only has 306 Speed, and that means that many things in the Uber metagame can outrun it and damage it, weakening the power of Water Spout. Also, Parasect, Quagsire and Ludicolo do a good job completely walling it, and because of Specs, it'll take a lot of good predictions to get around them.

anyaisbuly.JPG

In Code Geass, Mordred is operated by Anya Alstreim, one of the Knights of the Round, and a respected Britannian soldier. Mordred has a built in cannon, and is probably one of the most powerful weapons ever used by a Knightmare, much like Specs Kyogre's Water Spout at full health.

Threat List:

dpiconani491.gif
Darkrai
: Palkia can handle him. If not Palkia, then Rayquaza can Extreme Speed it and kill it, depending on how much HP it has of course.

dpiconani386.gif
Deoxys-A
: Rayquaza can OHKO with Extreme Speed, so can Scizor with Bullet Punch.

dpiconani386.gif
Deoxys-D
: Kyogre can easily 2HKO with Water Spout or Surf.

dpiconani386.gif
Deoxys-S
: Darkrai can use Trick on it in the beginning of the game, and cripple it for good, then it can OHKO with Dark Pulse.

dpiconani483.gif
Dialga
: Wobbuffet can pretty much KO it no matter what.

dpiconani445.gif
Garchomp
: Wobbuffet can take enough hits to KO it with Counter. Palkia can also OHKO with Spacial Rend, assuming it doesn't carry Choice Scarf.

dpiconani487.gif
Giratina
: Wobbuffet can mess around with Encore, or Mirror Coat, assuming it has Dragon Pulse. Darkrai can also do some good damage to it.

dpiconani487.gif
Giratina-O
: Darkrai can kill it off pretty easily, so can Wobbuffet with some good predictions. Rayquaza kills it off with +2 Attack and Palkia 1-2HKOs.

dpiconani383.gif
Groudon
: Kyogre is the obvious counter. Wobbuffet can also kill it off with Counter without a problem.

dpiconani250.gif
Ho-oh
: Kyogre can OHKO with Water Spout, assuming it has full HP. Wobbuffet also fucks it over with Counter.

dpiconani382.gif
Kyogre
: Palkia can come in on a Surf or Water Spout and strike back with either Spacial Rend or Thunder. Wobbuffet can also take a Surf without a problem and kill it with Mirror Coat.

dpiconani381.gif
Latios
: Wobbuffet with Mirror Coat, and Palkia with Spacial Rend.

dpiconani380.gif
Latias
: Wobbuffet and Scizor handle the job well.

dpiconani249.gif
Lugia
: Wobbuffet can Encore it on an Ice Beam and wear it down slowly with Mirror Coat, or abuse Tickle and then finish it off with Scizor.

dpiconani490.gif
Manaphy
: Kyogre's Thunder deals huge damage to it, so does Palkia's. Wobbuffet can also take a +2 Sp.Attack Surf and strike back with Mirror Coat if needed.

dpiconani151.gif
Mew
: Darkrai handles it perfectly, so do Scizor and Palkia.

dpiconani150.gif
Mewtwo
: Darkrai is perfect for the job, so is Palkia.

dpiconani484.gif
Palkia
: My own Palkia can take it out with Spacial Rend easily, and Wobbuffet can Mirror Coat it to death.

dpiconani384.gif
Rayquaza
: Dragon Dancers are no problem, but SD Ray tends to give me trouble once it has +2 Attack, it's the only real threat to this team. It'll take a lot of good predictions and possibly sacrificing a few of my guys to take him down properly.

dpiconani202.gif
Wobbuffet
: Kyogre can OHKO with Water Spout, and seeing as Darkrai is immune to Mirror Coat, he also gets the job done well.

dpiconani360.gif
Wynaut
: lol

dpiconani448.gif
Lucario
: Wobbuffet can handle it with Counter, and Palkia can deal great damage with Surf.

dpiconani242.gif
Blissey
: Wobbuffet can Encore it and start Tickling, then Scizor can finish it off.

dpiconani385.gif
Jirachi
: Rayquaza can OHKO with +2 Attack Earthquake, and Palkia 2HKO's with Surf.

dpiconani292.gif
Shedinja
: To be honest, I have Shedinja problems. I can get rid of its Sash with Scizor, but risk being burned, Fire Blast from Palkia also works. Dark Pulse works as well, but I don't want Darkrai getting attacked with X-Scissor.

Thanks for reading, please feel free to comment.

I personally like this team, it deals damage to many threats and also sets up nicely with Wobbuffet.

I do not see anything weak on this team, only the fact that your team lacks a status absorber. Also, Kyogre is not really a counter to Groudon, as he is OHKOed by a Swords Dance Earthquake. I would try rest talking Kyogre on your team, then, it would make your team less susceptible to status, plus still put the rain up for your team. Plus, it serves a nice counter to Garchomp and some Rayquazas, as Outrages from Garchomp that is Scarved do less than 50% to it, while Rayquaza's Outrages do less than 50% if Bold. Use whatever nature suits you best.

Otherwise, it is pretty good.

Thanks, I might try it out with RestTalk Kyogre sometime, when I get the chance.

If your Rayquaza has trouble dealing with Groudon, why not drop Dragon Claw for Outrage? Yes, you lock yourself in to it, but there are less Steels in Ubers to punish you for that, and you can always switch out after confusion. With the extra 50% damage over Dragon Claw, you can almost certainly 2HKO Groudon.

There are only two vital changes i would make for this team.

1. Replace Fire Blast with Waterfall on Palkia, and make the nature Hasty. Fire Blast is weakened by Kyogres rain and Surf/Thunder won't reach their full potential without it. Waterfall also gets a boost from the rain but removes part of your problem with Blissey. Fire Blast is only really for Skymin and Scizor, but Scizor will be beaten by a rain-boosted Surf (remembering that this is revenge killer and tehrefore teh opposing Scizor should be weakened anyway), and Skymin is killed on the switch in by Thunder and will be hit fairly hard by a Rain Boosted STAB'd Surf anyway. If it doesn't die, Scizor is there to Priority Kill.

2. Make Kyogre Modest and give it Scarf. Now you still hit extremely hard with Water Spout but you outspeed even Skymin and you will OHKO it with Ice Beam, Thunder, possibly even Water Spout. You will now outspeed Darkrai and OHKO with Water Spout. Its also alot safer to do one on ones against certain pokémon. If you get outsped you still have Surf and careful prediction (and knowledge of the fact that you are now only outsped by deoxys and Ninjask) will win you the fight.

Hope I helped

One problem with that.

First of all, Palkia cannot learn Waterfall for some odd reason. Plus, Fire Blast gives Palkia some dual weather versatility, hence Groudon is common on a lot of teams. Plus, Palkia makes somewhat of a better revenge killer than Kyogre due to higher speed and better movepool. Plus, I do not think he needs another revenge killer, hence Palkia's higher speed.

I do not think he has a problem with Blissey, hence Wobbuffet. Wobbuffet encores lets say softboiled for five turns. During those turns, in which Blissey cannot switch out due to Shadow Tag, Blissey gets repeatedly tickled, reducing her defense to -5, making it pursuit bait to Scizor, who is immune to toxic because of immunity.

Exactly, couldn't have said it better myself. Also, if you were trying to think of an offensive Water move then that would probably be Aqua Tail, but like Lugiatina mentioned, Fire Blast provides Dual Weather versatility.

I'm pretty sure you can keep dragon claw on rayquaza because it 2hkos groudon, outrage OHKOs it and do not put it on. First of all forrettress is running rampid around ubers right now and shrugs of even +2 LO outrage. Next, when your locked into outrage rayquaza is easily revenge killed. If something like palkia comes in, normal SDray can extremespeed for the OHKO while an outraging one is killed, also I'd reccommend SR somewhere on this team because SDray gets so many more kills with it, like timid palkia

I think SR would definetely help this team a lot, but other than that I think that I'm keeping everything the way that it already is.

You could try CB Scizor in place of your's. It'll deal more damage, and without the recoil. Generally, you would use your Scizor for Pursuit combined with Wobbuffet's Tickle, and the CB set is better than this. You give up Roost, but you rarely find time for it anyways, and you now gain Superpower for a OHKO on Blissey.

Use these EVs with CB Scizor: 200 HP / 56 Atk / 196 SDef / 56 Spe. 56 Atk gives a bonus point, as opposed to 52, and with CB, it outdamages the "It's a Trap" set. EVs have been moved into HP and SDef for better survivability. Most CB sets more all their speed into SDef, but I decided it would be better for you to keep them, because you lack SR for Shedninja. These EVs will enable you to outrun Shedninja (and min speed Skarmory). 200 HP EVs gives 331 HP - you take minimum SR damage.

I think CB Scizor would actually work a little better, because normally the Life Orb damage ends up killing me more than any attack my opponent uses. It also helps me kill off Rayquaza with +2 Attack, thanks to CB Bullet Punch, because as you can see I have problems with Rayquaza.
