Team: Death Magnetic (A RMT)

In celebration of the new Metallica CD being released, I dedicated an entire team to that CD. Each of the Pokemon is named after some of the songs. So please help me out. I have tested this out on Shoddy - 9-0 record so far, w00t.

Aerodactyl @ Focus Sash - Cyanide
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Pressure
EV Spread: 252 Attack/252 Speed/6 HP
Moves:
Stealth Rock
Taunt
Stone Edge
Earthquake

This set has actually messed up so many opponents, it's not even funny. (Well, it is in a cruel sort of way, but you know what I mean). I can easily Taunt Bronzong and co. so that I don't get screwed over by Hypnosis. Stealth Rock is to ruin Sashes, Stone Edge hits fliers and gets STAB, and Earthquake is simply there for another attacking move. (Not to mention the Jolteon coverage. ^_^)

gengar.png

Gengar @ Choice Scarf - The Day That Never Comes
Nature: Timid
Ability: Levitate
EV Spread: 252 Special Attack/252 Speed/6 HP
Moves:
Shadow Ball
Focus Blast
Thunderbolt
Hidden Power [Ice]

This is a big Deoxys Speed counter. Shadow Ball annihilates that, and many other targets with STAB and great Special Attack. Focus Blast hits Forretress and Umbreon hard, Thunderbolt hits Gyarados, and Hidden Power Ice takes care of Garchomp and Salamence.

blissey.png

Blissey @ Leftovers - The Judas Kiss
Nature: Bold
Ability: Natural Cure
EV Spread: 172 HP/252 Defense/86 Special Defense
Moves:
Ice Beam
Thunder Wave
Softboiled
Aromatherapy

Now, this is somewhat of a different Blissey set (as far as I'm concerned). Aromatherapy is mainly here to heal any Thunder Waves, Hypnosis, and various other statuses. Ice Beam is here so I don't get walled by ghosts, lolz. Softboiled is obviously here for healing, and Thunder Wave is to cripple things like Gengar, Aerodactyl, and Weavile.

infernape.png

Infernape @ Life Orb - Broken, Beaten, and Scarred
Nature: Naive
Ability: Blaze
EV Spread: 252 Special Attack/232 Speed/24 Attack
Moves:
Flamethrower
Grass Knot
ThunderPunch
Close Combat

Mixape has been a big part of my team for a long time now. Seeing as I already have 2 Ice type moves on my team already, I decided Hidden Power Ice was not needed on this. With Grass Knot, I can destroy the ever-popular Swampert, along with other bulky waters (Suicune and Milotic). ThunderPunch helps me take care of Gyarados, Close Combat is for Blissey and Porygon-Z, and Flamethrower is for STAB, and for destroying walls that think they can switch into me. :naughty:

jolteon.png

Jolteon @ Choice Specs - All Nightmare Long
Nature: Timid
Ability: Volt Absorb
EV Spread: 252 Special Attack/252 Speed/6 HP
Moves:
Thunderbolt
Shadow Ball
Hidden Power [Ice]
Baton Pass

Jolteon is a somewhat questionable member of my team. I simply could not figure out what to put in that 4th moveslot, so for the time being, I'm having Baton Pass go there. Thunderbolt is obvious for STAB and taking out big threats, Shadow Ball hits Gengar hard, and Hidden Power Ice is for Garchomp, Dragons, and Fliers.

metagross.png

Metagross @ Expert Belt - My Apocalypse
Nature: Naughty
Ability: Clear Body
EV Spread: 252 Attack/124 Special Attack/132 Speed
Moves:
Meteor Mash
Earthquake
Hidden Power [Fire]
Grass Knot

This is another questionable member of my team. This seems somewhat redundant compared to Infernape, but it has worked well with my team. I thought I was somewhat Agili-Gross weak, so I thought, "Why not put a Metagross on?" Meteor Mash deals a heck of a lot with STAB, Earthquake helps me with said Agiligross, Hidden Power Fire OHKOs Skarmory, and Grass Knot kills off anything else not mentioned above. XP

So... there you have it. Let's hear it Smogonites, what do you think of my team?

By the way, Death Magnetic is now released. Don't forget to pick up a copy. ;)

I think ScarfChomp can dent your team and get a whole lot of revenge kills. You can replace something like jolteon for something like suicune that can take the hits and ice beam back at it.

I also recommend Rock Slide on Aerodactyl to get some flinch kills on Azelf leads and better accuracy.

You're YacheChomp weak.. Oh, wait..

;_;

Gengar seems to be your only way to deal with Lucario, but Bullet Punch will screw you over. A dual priority Lucario will annihilate your team, so personally I would've added Mach Punch on your Infernape in favor of ThunderPunch, which is a move i doubt you'll miss, especially considering Close Combat is more powerful if neutral, and Jolteon and Gengar already deals with Gyarados.

SubGengar will make a huge dent in your team, and even through Blissey theoretically is supposed to handle Gengar, Focus Blast will hurt. A lot. For that reason alone I would probably reduce the HP stat a bit in favor of some SpD. I like to go with like 172 HP to survive an Explosion from a 0 Atk Bronzong 100% of the time. You're defensive capabilities on the physical side of the spectrum won't really be reduced by all that much, so I guess that's worth some consideration.

Other then that you might also want to consider SubPassing on Jolteon. :D Infernape and Mixgross behind a Sub is beastly!

Surfingpika: Baton Pass is a pretty good move for scouting purposes, even on a Choice-set.

@LoveDestiny - Garchomps uber now. >_______> I'll replace Stone Edge with Rock Slide though.

@RaistMagic - Yeah, The Unforgiven 3 sounded like not a very good name for a Pokemon. And yes, the album is great. But I'd like you to post on my team. >_______________>

@Rag - Thanks for the help. I'll make the changes.

"Suicide, I've already died
You're just the funeral I've been waiting for
Cyanide, living dead inside
Break this empty shell forevermore"
Go Cyanide!!!

I kinda think it's a great team except for one thing. 1 wall??? With Blissey down, you might have trouble with some type coverage depending if Gengar is dead or not. You could make Metagross bulky :\
