Team Double the Fist [NU RMT]

Hey guys i made an NU team and i've been testing it on shoddy the win/lose ration is generally 50/50. One of the main problems i had in NU was that i could not handle curse munchlax which is kinda bothering me because i think the team is very good apart from that. Most of the losses i've had seem to be prediction based which I still need to work on a little bit. Well anyways moving on to the team.

Team at full detail:

dpmfa053.png

1. Persian @ Silk Scarf
Jolly Nature
Ability: Limber
EV: HP6/Att252/Spd252
Move Set:
1. Fakeout
2. Taunt
3. Return
4. U-Turn
Comments:I chose persian because it is the fastest pokemon in NU as much as im aware off. Fake out is to stop anti leads. Taunt is to stop things such as trick room, raindance, status and sunny day from being setup. Return is for STAB and U-Turn is for free damage.

camerupt.png

2. Camerupt @ Leftovers
Relaxed Nature
Ability: Solid Rock
EV: HP228/Def72/Sp.D210
Move Set:
1. Lava Plume
2. Stealth Rock
3. Explosion
4. Yawn
Comment: Camerupt is very good at coming in on its resistances mainly ice & grass (well not resistances but with STAB fire). Lava Plume is there to burn physical threats. Stealth Rock is to set up in conjunction to yawn. Yawn is to attempt to Phaze stuff out. Explosion is to take out major threats like Regice who can destroy this team if im not expecting it.

gastrodon.png

3. Gastrodon @ Leftovers
Impish Nature
Ability: Sticky Hold
EV: HP252/Def188/Sp.D70
Move Set:
1. Toxic
2. Stock Pile
3. Recover
4. Earthquake
Comments: In most of my battles, Gastrodon has been able to set up on his resistances and start stock piling, which makes any unprepared player get destroyed by the toxic status combo. Recover is essential for this sets success no doubt about it. Earthquake is to take care of steel/poison types that think they can wall it and it gets STAB which is cool. I just felt that i needed gastrodon over quagsire as i didnt have a water weakness for the team at all to be honest. Gastrodon can be quite indestructible in NU.

hypno.png

4. Hypno @ Light Clay
Bold Natured
Ability: Insomnia
EV: HP252/Def208/Sp.D50
Move Set:
1. Light Screen
2. Reflect
3. Psychic
4. Hidden Power [Fighting]
Comments: Hypno is pretty bulky in NU and i decided that i needed a Dual Screener to give the team some good bulk. Both screens are essential for this to work. Psychic is for STAB and Hidden Power fighting is for dark/steel types though maybe i'll switch for focus blast because hidden power fighting hasnt been powerful enough for me really. Hypno has been a useful part to the team so im pretty happy with the way he is at the moment.

glaceon.png

5. Glaceon @ Choice Specs
Modest Nature
Ability: Snow Cloak
EV: HP6/SpA252/Spd252
Move Set:
1. Ice Beam
2. Shadow Ball
3. Water Pulse
4. Hidden Power [Electric]
Comments: Glaceon is a very powerful sweeper in NU. Ice Beam and Shadow ball are pretty obvious as is hidden power electric. Waterpulse would be the different move in my set. Seeing that there are only 4 fire pokemon in NU and are all outsped by her (unless Flareon has 252 Spd EV's) except for Entei, and if flareon wins the speed tie. She can come in on fire pokemon and knock them out with water pulse which rocks.

hitmonchan.png

6. Hitmonchan @ Life Orb
Adamant Nature
Ability: Iron Fist
EV: HP6/Att252/Spd252
Move Set:
1. Close Combat
2. Agility
3. Ice Punch
4. Thunder Punch
Comments: Hitmomchan is the star of the team really. I'd like to call this set the "Agilichan" set because he comes in when i've eliminated any counters that i am aware off and sets up an agility. Drain Punch provides STAB and recovers recoil damage which prolongs his survivability. Ice and Thunderpunch provide the physical version of the Bolt Beam Combo which is always nice.

Conclusion: From the games i have played, I think the team is well thought out for the NU environment but if munchlax manages to set up its cursing then im finished because my team wasnt made in consideration of munchlax >.> That is my problem so if any of you guys have any opinons to help me patch that hole and any that i maybe be unaware of then please do tell. Thank you all in advance

you persian lead NEEDS U-turn it means he can get in free damage id drop aerial ace also give hitmonchan Close combat over drain punch for power after an agility and after take out all that counters him (hopefully) wont be getting hit therefore need to recover life

munchalax is used in nu O_O haven't noticed . i can't see what munchlax does when he's facing hitmochan actually . it should be able to ohko and outspeed it that persian lead is outdated maybe try this one

persian@ silk scarf
jolly
ability : limber
ev: 252 atk, 252 spe , 4hp
move set :
1 fake out
2 taunt
3 return
4 shadow claw

i prefer this set much more because it stops pokes who want t set up (like most common lead and maybe it works for you munchlax problem
technician is not needed as the only move it boosts gets a boost form both stab and silk scarf and so does return ; shadow claw is for coverage; also if a poke relies on t-wave that ability helps ;

ice punch instead of fire punch for more coverage on hitmonchan .

on camerupt i'm not sure about yawn . maybe change it to earth power to make it better in battle

thats all i could find

Personally, I'd run the set the above user suggested for Persian, but U-Turn over Shadow Claw. Persian needs free damage, isn't that powerful anyways.

Thanks for your suggestion guys. I'll change drain punch to close combat as suggested and i'll change persians move set, because i suppose it does need freed damage aye. I like taunt so i can prevent rain dance and sunny day from starting.
