Team EFFICIENCY

____espeon_____by_mack_chan-d317i4l.png

ESPEON @ Light Clay
Ability: Magic Bounce
EV's: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spd
Nature: Timid (+Spd, -Atk)
--Yawn
--Reflect
--Light Screen
--Psychic

Espeon is my lead. She does exactly what I need 90% of the time: Magic Bounce prevents Stealth Rock and Taunt; Yawn prevents setting up; Screens to set up; Psychic for some surprising power. Pretty simple. I usually don't switch her and she is usually sacrificed. But she almost always sets up at least one screen and/or puts a pokemon to sleep or even gets a KO. When I do save her a switch in magic bounce really is nice. The given EV's and nature give her some bulk while still allowing her to out speed a lot while her naturally high special attack (and yawn) make her avoid being set up fodder.

HAXORUS @ Lum Berry
Ability: Mold Breaker
EV's: 120 HP / 252 Atk / 136 Spd
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
--Dual Chop
--Outrage
--Earthquake
--Dragon Dance

This is usually the pokemon that takes the place of Espeon after she falls. He sets up nicely with screens and lum berry. The nature maximizes his power after a ddance and the given EV's maximize his bulk while still allowing him to outspeed 130 base speed pokemon (jolteon and faster) after 1 ddance barring scarf. Outrage is his main attack especially because he can usually get 1-2 ddances up because lum is often a surprise, he has decent bulk (actually straight solid physical bulk) and the proper screen is almost always up. Dual Chop is for anything setting up subs. EQ works nice with Mold Breaker for coverage against steel (anything besides Scarmory and air balloon pokemon take minimum neutral damage). I also use Dual Chop to avoid getting locked in when the inevitable steel switch comes so that I can save Hax and then leave it to Magnezone...

MagnetPull.jpg

MAGNEZONE @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EV's: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spd
Nature: Modest (+SpA, -Atk)
--Volt Switch
--Thunderbolt
--Flash Cannon
--Hidden Power Fire

Magnezone is my steel killer. The entire purpose of this team is to get rid of steel types who threaten my dragon sweep and there is no one better at this than Magnezone. Scarf allows me to out speed almost every other steel type and works nicely with volt switch. Tbolt is the primary STAB with Flash Cannon the secondary. H-P-Fire is for super effectiveness against steels. The given EV's and nature are so that I have the highest chance of out speeding and obliterating any steels. Magnezone also has the secondary duty of walling opposing dragons.

Dragonite.full.357373.jpg

DRAGONITE @ Leftovers
Ability: Multiscale
EV's: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
--Dragon Dance
--Brick Break
--Outrage
--Extremespeed

Dragonite is my other set up sweeper. It is a pretty standard set. I chose Brick Break to break opposing screens and to take down steels while extreme speed helps dnite be a pseudo revenge-killer. Multiscale+Leftovers is for tanking hits and the given EV's and nature are for pure damage output.

051___Dugtrio_by_Winter_Freak.jpg

DUGTRIO @ Focus Sash
Ability: Arena Trap
EV's: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
--Reversal
--Earthquake
--Stealth Rock
--Sucker Punch
Dugtrio is simple: he sets up stealth rock, revenge kills, takes down any steels magnezone can't, and absorbs electric attacks. Its pretty self explanatory. I usually send him in on something I know he can take down or if I really need rocks up or if magnezone is down and there is still another steel type on the team that is grounded and they can get trapped.

salamence.png

SALAMENCE @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Moxie
EV's: 4 HP/ 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Nature: Jolly (+Spd, -SpA)
--Dragon Claw
--Rock Slide
--Earthquake
--Outrage

Salamence is my late-game sweeper. Choice Scarf+Moxie+Dragon is really only stopped by steels and good physical walls. Magnezone and Dugtrio take care of steels. Dragonite and Haxorus take care of the physical walls. So Mence's job is to just spam STAB moxie outrage on everything else with +1 speed courtesy of scarf. After a KO he has the equivalent of a ddance and annihilates most pokemon. Rock Slide and EQ are for coverage and dragon claw is there in case there are steels are good physical walls left that I am just trying to draw out and need to switch and don't want to get locked into outrage.

Conclusion
Overall the team does very well and the synergy is great. I have trouble with steels in the rain to an extent and the occasional ninjask baton pass lead can really screw the team over because its the one thing Espeon can't handle. However, the main threat to my team is Latios+Scarf which after Stealth Rock Damage can outspeed and OHKO everything on my team except Magnezone with dragon pulse if I don't have light screen up. Also if an opposing scarf moxie mence outspeeds mine then I have the same problem (however that usually doesn't happen and I have MUCH more trouble with scarf latios). I don't know what to change to counter this except maybe flash cannon to signal beam on magnezone. Thanks and I hope you like!

Hi blurple

Since You can trap steel types with Magnezone, you can change Dugtrio with Focus Sash Mamoswine, this 'mon can hit hard those pesky steel in rain, and revengekills RPLando that otherwise sweeps this team.
Mamo can set Stealth Rock too, and with Endeavor plus Ice Shard he can stop every Baton Pass chain.

Having 3 physically offensive dragons is a absolutely redundant and moves like ice beam will rip your entire team apart. I know I have seen teams with 5 dragons and a Magnezone, but really don't.

I Suggest you change haxorus to a latios. Be it choice, life orb.
Next up, I suggest changing either dragonite or salamence to either a steel type like ferrothorn to set up your own rocks, or a bulky water like rotom-w, which resists ice, and can additionally bring a trapper in freely with its volt switch seeing that you have two of them.

Hope I helped.

I second baka's suggestion of changing duggy to mamoswine. It gives you an answer to opposing dragons and another resist to ice. You should not miss duggy as he also packs a strong stab earthquake.

I think hydriegon would be a better choice considering dragon/dark pairs better with the team than dragon/psychic, it allow espeon to have an easier team of doing it's job and reduce weaknesses on the team and provide a powerful choice scarfer which can be backed up byt it's team mates or the lat@s a pursuit weak pokemon which shares multiple weakness with espeon and it's dragon team mates. means less worying about scizor tyranitar and pals.
