Team Elements (OU RMT)

Team Elements
Introuduction
________________________________________________________________
This is the newest team I spun up, I did some testing on the Smogon Server and it's done okay. I focused on getting a strong defensive core and covering most threats. I still need some help making it better so though.

In-Depth Look

Azelf @ Focus Sash
Nature : Naive
EV : 4 HP / 252 SpAtk / 252 Spe
-Psychic
-Stealth Rock
-Taunt
-Explosion

Team Role : Azelf's role is to stop the enemy setting up the rocks while setting up the rocks for my team and hopefully taking something out with it.

Opinion : Azelf does its job very well, it has rarely failed to get the rocks up for me and he usually takes something with it with Explosion or seriously hurts it.

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Nature : Naive
EV : 4 HP / 252 SpAtk / 252 Spe
-Explosion
-Fire Blast
-Earth Power
-Hidden Power Ice

Team Role : Heatran is here as a revenge-killer, I picked him mainly for the wide variety of threats he can revenge-kill and his nice immunities and resistances as well as providing me with something that can switch into Fire-attacks fearlessly.

Opinion : Heatran is a solid Pokemon that usually gets the kills he should, his handful of resistances make a good addition to this team.

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Nature : Bold
EV : 188 HP / 252 Def / 68 SpD
-Wish
-Protect
-Surf
-Hidden Power Electric

Team Role : Vaporeon gives Wish support to the team and provides a counter for stuff like Infernape and Gyarados. He makes a fantastic partner for Heatran and gladly takes Water-attacks aimed at Mamo and Ice-attacks aimed at Mence.

Opinion : Vaporeon is great support for the team, countering Pokemon and providing Wish support for Mamo and Heatran. Protect is great for scouting and all-in-all he does great in this team.

Salamence @ Life Orb
Nature : Rash
EV : 80 Atk / 252 SpA / 176 Spe
-Draco Meteor
-Roost
-Brick Break
-Fire Blast

Team Role : MixMence is great for dealing out some heavy damage, I usually bring him in after something has died and dish out some damage and soften the opponent's team. He's also great for breaking stall, if he can eliminate the opponent's counter/check for Jirachi as well as wrecking some havoc then he's done his job well.

Opinion : This has always been one of my favourite Mence sets, he has both versatility and power and he always does a ton of damage before he dies.

Mamoswine @ Life Orb
Nature : Jolly
EV : 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
-Earthquake
-Ice Shard
-Superpower / Ice Fang
-Stone Edge

Team Role : Mamoswine has a similar aim to Mence, he aims to land some powerful hits on the opponent and try to weaken the opponents team so I can end the match.

Opinion : The most debatable member of my team, while he does pack quite a punch he doesn't seem to fit that well into the team. I'll willingly take replacements for him.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Nature : Timid
EV : 252 HP / 80 SpAtk / 176 Spe
-Substitute
-Calm Mind
-Thunderbolt
-Psychic

Team Role : Jirachi is my clean-up sweeper, in the late-game when Salamence/Mamoswine have left dents in the opponent's team and Heatran has revenge-killed stuff that threaten Jirachi then I bring it in and setup a Sub on something that can't hurt it much and proceed to CM and wipe out his weakened team members.

Opinion : I love this thing, it has cleaned up heaps of teams for me. Thunderbolt/Psychic offer good coverage and after 2-3 CM''s it is pretty hard to stop.

Conclusion

I'm pretty satisfied with this team but it definetely isn't perfect so please help me out.

Hmm, I think you have a CB Tar problem here. SE is only resisted by Jirachi, and Jirachi itself can't to anything to it. SE also 2HKO's Vaporeon (by a small margin btw), your only hope to defeat it. If the Dragon Dancer gets a DD up, it outruns and (at least) 2HKO's everything in your team, as Azelf and Heatran can't do much except for Explosion (and Earth Power if he's weakened). Lucario gives you some trouble too, and if Heatran and Jirachi are weakened / KO'ed, he also sweeps you.
So, how can we counter this?

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Nature: Impish
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
~Earthquake
~Slack off
~Ice Fang / Stone Edge
~Roar / Toxic

Though it seems a bit out of place, Hippowdon can be a viable member to your team, stopping Tyranitar and Lucario cold. This can be placed over Mamoswine. I chose the big Hippo over, say, Swampert, since he can Slack Off damage and switch-in on CB Tar much more that way. Ice fang let's it beat DD Mence (and the common Mixmence is handily stopped by Heatran switching in on DM) as SE allows it to hit flying types hard on the switch. Toxic and Roar are two great support options. It's your choice, really.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Yeah I do have a massive weak to Ttar.

Hmm..would Swampert work over Mamoswine?

I don't like Hippowdon because it'll screw Vappy's Lefties recovery and makes Mence take 16% each attack which with SR makes him die pretty damn fast =(

Hmm, if you can viably pass multiple Wishes to Swampert, you can use it over Hippo. After all, the reason I chose him is for reliable recovery. I just hope that it'll be easy for you to switch in Swamperts on Vaporeons counters.
