Team Fairy!

Hi, my name is Eureka and I have just started the Smogon University Comitee about 5 seconds ago, LOL. But while I was on Pokemon Online I built a Team that is sort of balanced, but that's where you come in! You see I am new to the whole writing Analysis and this is just practice for me, but please just take the time to tell me what I need to work on, and how to succeed in writing analyses. (P.S: My name means "Surprise"!)

Here are your member's of Team Fairy!:

Whimsicott (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Prankster
EVs: 252 Def / 252 SDef / 4 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Cotton Guard
- Encore
- Leech Seed
- Substitute

Whimsicott is hands down one of the cutest, but deadliest stallers of all, with the given EV's It works pretty great. You start out by using "Encore" then proceed to a few Cotton Guard's, then use Leech Seed followed by Substitute, and you've got a SubSeeder!

Clefable (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Cosmic Power
- Seismic Toss
- Softboiled
- Thunder Wave

Now, I know your thinking "Meh, I'd rather use Blissey," but think again with th given moves Clefable is a pretty scary fairy! First start out with either T-Wave or Cosmic Power. I would go with the T-Wave, then take a couple of Cosmic Powers to raise defense and special defense I believe. If Clefable get's low on HP just use Softboiled and you're back to normal! Now you can pull of a deadly Seismic Toss.

Nidoqueen (F) @ Black Sludge
Trait: Sheer Force
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast
- Ice Beam
- Sludge Wave

I don't really know how to describe this one, it's a mixed set, and with sheer force it vcan be deadly. (I know I say 'deadly' too much)

Sawsbuck (F) @ Big Root
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Aromatherapy
- Horn Leech
- Megahorn
- Wild Charge

Pretty decent Pokemon as far as I am concerned, Aromatherapy to cure status, Horn Leech is similar to Giga Drain.

Lapras (F) @ Air Balloon
Trait: Shell Armor
EVs: 76 HP / 180 SAtk / 252 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Dragon Dance
- Ice Shard
- Outrage
- Surf

I really don't know how to explain this one either, or Sigilyph's.

Sigilyph (F) @ Flame Orb
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 Spd
Hardy Nature
- Cosmic Power
- Charge Beam
- Psycho Shift
- Stored Power
Look above this one.

Sorry for wasting your time, but if you could just take a few seconds to rate the team and help me decide what to do with what?

Thanks!!!<3

Hey. If your new, this is a pretty good team. But to be competitive, you need some hazards. This is the OU forum, but your team is in mixed tiers. Perhaps use skarmory instead of sigilyph. Use Skarmory@ leftovers. Impish nature with roost, spikes, whirlwind and brave bird @ 252 hp ev's, 232 defense, and 24 speed. This isnt nessecary, but you should also have a starmie for rapid spin. Swap that with lapras

Leftovers over Life Orb on Clefable.
Life Orb over Big Root on Sawsbuck, and Jump Kick over Aromatherapy.
Give Lapras Leftovers, and swap Outrage with Zen Headbutt or something.

First up, you're going to want to switch Nidoqueen for Nidoking and give him actual special attack EVs.

Then...

Okay nevermind. Go and learn the basics of competitive battling, read articles on Smogon and read the generic movesets posted on the website for each Pokemon analysis. if you are a troll, go screw yourself

Good luck!

You're using Whimsicott all wrong. It's not only a subseeder, but so much more. If anything, you're not abusing Prankster the right way. Taunt would be better over Cotton Guard, since it can shut down set up sweepers and cripple supportive types.

If you're being serious, and not trolling, heres some things I suggest.

If Whimsicott is going to be a subseed stall, swap Bold to Calm nature for the SDef boost, since Cotton Guard will raise Whimsi's defense high enough. And I would recommend Taunt over Encore, or you'll end up being setup fodder.

Swap Nidoqueen's item to Life Orb. She won't take damage from it due to Sheer Force.

Swap Clefable's item to Leftover, she needs all the recovery possible.

Excadrill will tear through this team. Same with NP Thundurus. I recommend swapping Clefable or Whimsicott for Bronzong. Also Volcarona will walk all over this team as well, swapping Sawsbuck for Heatran or maybe Chandelure might help.
