Team Good Guys
A practice in impracticality______________________________________________________
The Benevolent Bear. "Swats"
Ursaring@Toxic Orb
Nature : Jolly
EVs: 252 Att / 252 Sp / 4 SpD
Ability : Quick Feet
Moves : Protect, Facade, Close Combat, Night Slash
Ursaring is a slow bear. Unless, of course, he's poisoned. After one turn, there's no running from this thing, unless you're a positively natured base 115. That means that Ursaring outspeeds just about everything except max speed Jolly Ambipom and a couple scarfers. That includes Mismagius and Rotom, who he 1hko's with Night Slash. Facade is there for the nice 210 base damage and Close Combat is there for steel and rock types.
The Speedy Smasher. "Garth"
Rampardos@Choice Scarf
Nature : Jolly
EVs : 252 Att / 252 Sp / 4 Sp.D.
Moves : Head Smash, Earthquake, Thunder Punch, Crunch
This guy is blazingly fast. I've never found anything unscarfed in UU that I needed to outspeed that I couldn't. And Head Smash. This move, coming from 429 attack, is unbelievable. For awhile, I forgot to give this guy his attack EVs. And he STILL did his job amazingly. I don't find myself using much other than Head Smash and occasionally Earthquake.
Sharky Shark. "JD Salinger"
Sharpedo@Life Orb
Nature : Adament
EVs : 252 Att / 252 Sp / 4 Sp.D.
Moves : Waterfall, Earthquake, Crunch, Aqua Jet
This guy is named after the author of my very favorite book. And he's one of my very favorite Pokemon. He can go toe to toe with quite a few things, and shines surprisingly well as a revenge killer. I flip flopped with making him mixed, but he's just so neat.
The Terrifying Toucher. "Nora"
Mr. Mime@Leftovers
Nature : Bold
EVs : 200 HP / 252 Def / 52 Sp.D.
Ability : Filter
Moves : Barrier, Nasty Plot, Baton Pass, Psychic
Being a baton passer with Soundproof is wonderful. No worries about Roar. Even still, I need this girl to survive. And you'd never believe how bulky this thing is. Mr. Mime is one of the few Pokemon which can pass Nasty Plot, and on top of that, it can pass Barrier. The movepool is so great. I switch Mr. Mime in on a physical afterthought and proceed to Barrier up. Feeling rather safe, Nasty Plot comes next. I almost always manage at least one set of Nasty Plot and Barrier, notwithstanding taunt, before I pass to...
The Task Manager. "Explorer.exe"
Porygon2@Leftovers
Nature : Bold
EVs : 100 HP / 252 Def / 58 Sp.Att. / 100 Sp.Def.
Ability : Download
Moves : Charge Beam, Tri Attack, Ice Beam, Recover
Oh gee, I've never had so much fun sweeping as I've had with this guy. The cyber duck can do it all. He usually ends up with +2 sp att and +2 def. That's great. If he comes into a special defensively weak Pokemon, that's +3 sp att. A bulky Pokemon that can do THIS much damage is beyond belief. He can outstall any Pokemon bulky enough to withstand a +6 Tri Attack, as long as it doesn't have Toxic, and with a barrier under his belt, he can survive most LO'd close combats. He's crazy.
Mount St. Helens. "Willie"
Camerupt@Life Orb
Nature : Bashful
EVs : 112 HP / 252 Att / 146 Def
Ability : Solid Rock
Moves : Rock Polish, Overheat, Earthquake, Explosion
This guy is the only member of my team that I think is shaky. I want some help with him. Inspired by Rhyperior, I made this set to be a boosting sweeper, but he's just too slow. Still, it's a big surprise, and I've won so many games with a Life Orbed explosion. In terms of damage, this guy is set. And Overheat does its job. I don't like how slow he is. I was doing some thinking, and I might want to replace him with something fast and immediately physically threatening.
Anyway, suggest anything you'd like. I'd rather keep Mr. Mime and Porygon the way they are, but I'd be willing to move Ursaring into the middle of my team in lieu of a different lead. Thanks for any feedback. :D
