Hello there and welcome to my RMT :D After testing out my last team I finally came to the conclusion that it just didn't work out for me, so after a lot of willowing in self pity a friend of mine helped me make a new team! This team uses prediction as a very strong weapon. It has 2 Choice users, a band and a scarf. It contains 3 OU's, 1 UU and an NU.

Thanks for reading this and enjoy my RMT! :3!

Changes are in italics.

472.png
CutYouUp (Gliscor) (M) @ Leftovers
472.png

Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP/40 Def/216 Spd
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Taunt
- Roost
- Stealth Rock
---

The team leads off with Gliscor, I like Gliscor so much because its a very good lead. It taunts the opposition whenever it predicts a set up move, and continues to lay up rocks of its own. Gliscor is also a valuable addition because its an extremely good Lucario counter (provided its not carrying Ice Punch) But even then Gliscor outspeeds and KO's it with STAB Earthquake. The instant recovery provided by Roost is of great use to a Pokémon with Gliscor's bulk and relatively high Speed, and helps keep it alive for the entire duration of the battle. Gliscor has just the right base stats, movepool, and typing for what it needs to do: counter many physical attackers and support the team at the same time. Its STAB Earthquake 2HKOes Tyranitar and OHKOes Lucario, and also does a decent amount to most fragile switch-ins.

Ice moves go to: Scizor, Magnezone
Water moves go to: Latias, Magnezone

475.png
IGotLade (Gallade) (M) @ Lum Berry

Ability: Steadfast
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/4 HP
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Sneak
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge

---

I was a bit sceptical wether or not Gallade was a welcome addition to this team, and needless to say I was suprised. Don't bother saying things like Gallade is outclassed by Lucario because if you do I will totally disregard your comment because you obviously have never used this set before. Lucario would've destroyed my team if I decided to use that instead of Gallade. Because, Lucario is weak to 3 really common types of moves, Fire, Ground and Fighting. If I had Lucario 3 of my Pokemon would be weak to fire, 3 would be weak to ground and 3 would be weak to fighting. Whenever Gallade comes in on something that can't do anything to it like an Ice Beaming Blissey, Cresselia or even Bronzong it uses Swords Dance and proceeds to sweep with boosted attack.

Moveset was changed to the standard SD set because setting up subsitute was proving too hard to achieve. The last 4 evs were put into HP instead of SP def and nature was changed to Adamant because speed isn't needed as much anymore since a priority move has been added to this set. Lum berry replaced Salac Berry because Burn/Parylisis can be extremely annoying towards this set.

Flying moves go to: Magnezone
Ghost moves go to:
Magnezone, Porygon2, Scizor

Magnepwn (Magnezone) @ Choice Scarf

Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Flash Cannon
- Explosion
---
Lol, its funny to see how common Scizor is getting in the OU metagame, so Magnezone is nearly necessary to this team. First of all, this puts all Steel types into the "Checkmate" position, for example; A Jirachi goes for trick but I bring in this beastly machine, poor Jirachi can only use Trick whilst I destroy it with Hidden Power Fire. Magnezone works well with Gallade, keeping most of his priority abusing counters in check. Such as Mamoswine and Scizor, Magnezone OHKO's Mamoswine with Flash Cannon and OHKO's Scizor with HP Fire. Magnezone can also kill Lucario provided it has taken damage from Life Orb and Rocks previous.

This thing just eats Scizor for breakfast, especially the SD variants that try to set up and get owned. Since Scizor is the most OU pokemon in the whole game, Magnezone is a welcome member to this time.

Fire moves go to: Latias, Gliscor
Ground moves go to: Latias, Gliscor
Fighting moves go to: Latias, Gliscor, Gallade

Meta-Bug (Scizor) (M) @ Choice Band
212.png

Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP/252 Atk/8 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- U-turn
- Pursuit
---
Yes I know, you're probably thinking to yourself how ironic it is to have a Scizor Killer like Magnezone right above this description, boasting how it kills other Scizor. And then to have the generic average-joe CBZor directly underneath it. As spammy as Scizor is, theres no denying how much of a force it is in the OU metagame. U-Turn is useful for scouting the opponents team and its unbelievable how many teams actually have a weakness to it, Bullet Punch is pretty explanitory (I mean its a Scizor, come on) Pursuit is extremely useful at killing off things like Rotom formes (provided its not rotom-h) and Latias. Its hard to make a team without Scizor, its just a very handy pokemon :)

Fire moves go to: Latias, Gliscor

porygon2.png

233.png
(Ohaithar) Porygon2 @ Leftovers

Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 HP/216 Def/40 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt

Ok, so Porygon2 replaced Tyranitar. I was sad to get rid of Tyranitar and lose its epic nickname D: But after testing out Porygon2 I realised that this was a very good Pokémon (It also aids in helping my team with a little bit of originality) Porygon2 can easily prevent Gyarados and Salamence from accessing a sweep on my team. This is very useful because most of the time Scarf Latias goes down easily if I bring it in early on something like Mence or Heatran. It will get locked into a move and it'll become easy pursuit bait for the likes of Scizor or Tyranitar. Without Latias, my team becomes very vulnerable to set-up sweepers like Gyarados, who can set up easily on your three choicers, namely Magnezone and Scizor. Gallade can't touch it, and Tyranitar, without any Speed EVs, can't either. It would be pretty much GG and spelling the end for my chances of victory. I went with T-Bolt over Discharge because I find myself never using Toxic when I use Porygon2, so I went with the stronder option of Electric attacking and stuck T-Wave in the last slot

Fighting moves go to: Latias, Gliscor, Gallade

latias.png

Sanitarium (Latias) (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Surf
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Fire]
---

Ok, since Tyranitar was replaced with Porygon2 I finally arrived at the conclusion that Scarf on Latias wasn't needed anymore. So I changed the set to the LO + Three Attacks set. It takes the destructive power of the Choice Specs set and combines it with the ability to freely change attacks; although at the cost of some power and ten percent of Latias' health after each attack. Draco Meteor is Latias' strongest attack, capable of dealing 75.00% - 88.54% to max HP Zapdos, an OHKO when factoring in Stealth Rock damage. Draco Meteor even does 38.89% - 45.68% to min HP Heatran. With or without scarf however I still find myself switcing into Infernape, which is good because even without the scarf I outspeed and do a lot of damage with Surf, and if the opponent predicts its ok. I have a lot more freedome now because of LO instead of CS, so I can go straight for a Draco Meteor :D

I will admit that I am a fan of using Choice, so using something other than scarf on Latias was a big step for me o_O

Dragon moves go to: Magnezone, Scizor
Ice moves go to: Magnezone, Scizor
Bug moves go to: Magnezone, Scizor, Gliscor
Dark moves go to:
Magnezone, Scizor
Ghost moves go to: Magnezone, Porygon2, Scizor

Looks nice, but I have a few nitpicks.

1. Gallade
Gallade is cool and UU. He sweeps in UU due to massive coverage. I suggest changing your set to standard SD because Gallade is pretty slow, and is definitely outpaced in OU, so Substituting will work maybe once and you'll have to pray you don't die to the faster revenge killer. Also, your set is walled by a bulky ghost like Dusknoir and a bulky Cresselia. Standard SD Gallade will probably get a more reliable SD up and take out something. You'll lose the shield Substitute gives you, but Gallade is too slow to do that in OU.

Gallade @ Lum Berry
Steadfast
Adamant
252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 4 Hp

- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge/Night Slash
- Shadow Sneak

Night Slash is generally better in UU, but Stone Edge could hit Intimidators like Mence and Gyara for some nice damage. Snadow Sneak stops Latias and Gengar, and Luc can't really do anything if you SD as they switch in. Basically, the Sub wasted a turn you could've SD'd on, and this set drops Sub so you can stop the threats that would generally come in.

2. Magnezone
If having 3 choice users is annoying you, switch Magnezone to a Steel Killer set.

Magnezone @ Leftovers
Magnet Pull
Timid
40 Hp/ 252 SpAtk/ 216 Spe

-Substitute
-Magnet Rise
-Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power Grass/Ice

Your choice on the last move, depends on what you want to hit.

Hey desklamp, thanks for that advice, it was really helpful! I tried out the standard SD Gallade and its definately in, having priority to kill Gengar and Latias was a welcome addition to this team.

However, I decided to stick with Scarf Magnezone. Because if Gliscor is dead Lucario can be a real asshole to this team :p

I really question your use of no speed EVs on DDTar. Even if it gets up two DDs, it's still slower than even +nature base 100s, and there's virtually no way in hell you're getting up 3, with all those weaknesses it has.

I have to agree with Siberia here. I can see what you are trying to do with Tyranitar, making it bulky and all, but you really really do need to look into speed EVs. /like Siberia said, even if you do get up 2 DD's and, like you said, Scizor comes in and bullet punches and you survive and OHKO with Fire Punch, your opponent can easily switch in another poké (thanks to TTars many, many weaknesses) who will easily outspeed TTar and take him out of the game. You would probably do much, much better running a standard DDTar set.

Also, three choice users really is overkill here, even if Latias intends to trick choice scarf onto it's opponent, and I reccomend looking into alternatives

Well then maybe Dragon Dance is a bad idea on Tyranitar? I need help with that set then.

And yes, 3 choice users probably is overkill, but I've tried using LO Latias and Steel Killer Magnezone but I much rathered their choice scarf sets. So, I have been thinking of replacing CBZor with this:

inFamous (Scizor) (M) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- Swords Dance
- Brick Break
- Bug Bite

Hi, I got your PM

Looks like a very nice team, and great presentation too. You handle all major threats nicely, and I can't really think of what gives your team a lot of trouble. Good job on that.

However, I can see a late-game DD Gyarados sweeping through your team. Scarf Latias goes down easily if you bring it in early on something like Mence or Heatran. You'll lock yourself into a move and you'll become easy pursuit bait for the likes of Scizor or Tyranitar. Without Latias, your team becomes very vulnerable to set-up sweepers like Gyarados, who can set up easily on your three choicers, namely Magnezone and Scizor. Gallade can't touch it, and Tyranitar, without any Speed EVs, can't either. Once it gets a +1 Dragon Dance, its pretty much gg.

Because of this, I'd suggest maybe a Defensive Porygon 2, Gyarados's best counter, in the place of what seems to be your weakest link, Tyranitar. Heres the set:

Porygon-2 @ Leftovers
Bold Nature
252 HP / 216 Def / 40 SpA
~ Discharge / Thunderbolt
~ Ice Beam
~ Recover
~ Toxic / Thunder Wave / Magic Coat

Trace, high Defensive Stats, and good support moves make Porygon a good fit on this team and the ideal counter to Gyarados. Its your choice between Discharge and Thunderbolt, but if you go Discharge, use dont use T-wave in the last slot

You need to be careful with opposing scizor's. They have a high chance of OHKO'ing your Magnezone with Superpower. That is considering MAX attack so there is no chance it will outspeed, but if Magnezone is locked into something else...
Weavile can outspeed and Lowkick/Icepunch Tyranitar/Gliscor. With MAX speed and MAX attack with the nature boosting speed and Choice Scarf, Weavile can put a big dent into Latias. Weavile can dent and/or OHKO Magnezone, Scizor, and Gallade with Brickbreak, Brickbreak, and Shadow Claw respectively. So Weavile can hurt some stuff is my point.
Another small nitpick is that your attackers:special attackers is a ratio of 4:2. A little uneven, but that is just me.

Thanks for your advice Frogbandit, I have tested out Porygon2 and it is definately in :)

And Blizzicano320, Magnezone handles Scizor and Weavile with great ease. Scarf helps it outspeed both of these and kill them with HPfire and Flash Cannon respectively. The only way a Weavile or Scizor could kill my Magnezone is if I switch in on a Brick Break or Superpower. Which never happens and never will lol

The topic has been updated to include the changes to the team, keep the advice coming people! :)

hello

This looks like a nice team but I do have some suggestions.
First of all I would suggest you replace Gallade with Machamp, who is just much better in OU. I would suggest the Bulk Up variant.

68.png

Machamp @ leftovers/ adamant/ no guard
252 HP, 252 Atk, 6 Spe

- Dynamic Punch
- Bulk Up
- Stone Edge
- Payback

--> Machamp can come in with ease when predicted right and can use the free turn your opponent switches to get a Bulk Up. Moveset is so that you have a wide coverage.

If you use this Machamp, you can change your Latias to a CM one because now you have 3 choice users and that isn't all that great. Because all of CM Latias' counters will be covered (steel by Magnezone and special walls like Blissey by Machamp) Latias can set up easy and continue to sweep.

Latias @ leftovers/ timid/ levitate
148 HP, 108 SAtk, 252 Spe

- Dragon Pulse
- Calm Mind
- Recover
- Refresh

--> This one can sweep entire teams when it's counters are gone. It's not even stopped by status like Poison because of Refresh. Calm Mind up and start the sweep.

If you want to use Tyranitar as a bulky sweeper I think the Curse set is better though:

Tyranitar @ leftovers/ Carefull/ sand stream
252 HP, 42 Def, 216 SDef

- Curse
- Payback
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

--> You can easily set up on Latias because Surf will do next to nothing with this EV spread (about 17% when it's not spec'ed). This also serves as you Status Absorber. As a mono-attacker you have to be careful about types who resists like steel, but they are easily covered by Magnezone. Opposing Tyranitar could also wall this set by they are covered by Machamp. If Tyranitar can't beat an opponent you can just use Rest the entire time and let Sandstorm do all the work

Hope this helped!

I do have to agree with Machamp, but I'd use the substitute set. Machamp is usually wanting to hit whatever comes in as hard as possible, and the thing that switches in is going to be a hard counter. With Substitute, you can Substitute on the switch to say Rotom-A, and Payback them. Here's the set:

Machamp @ Leftovers
Adamant Nature
40 spe/252 att/216 hp
-Dynamicpunch
-Substitute
-Payback
-Stone Edge

Payback for ghost types that can be quite a nuisance, and Stone Edge for the intimidating dragons like Gyarados. Also, I'd definitely go with something other than Scarf Latias. 3 chocie users is definitely overkill, so I'd try either the LO set, or the CM set. you really don't have a set-upper, so the CM set would probably work out, with Magnezone for the Scizors running rampant. I hope this helps, and good luck with the team!

Ok I have tested out all the suggestions and I have decided to keep testing wether to use Gallade or Machamp (I am edging towards Gallade because it helps with Synergy)

I decided not to change DDtar to CurseTar because I have replaced Tyranitar altogether with Porygon2

Scarf Latias has been replaced by LO Latias to minimize the use of Choicers.

Thanks for all the help! More comments appreciated!
