Hello. I'm looking for some help with my Pokemon team. I'm new to the forums and I'm not sure how much input I will get.
I'm looking for overall team help. Everything from hold items to completely x-ing out members of the team for better prospects. I usually stick to triple battles on my 3ds just so I have access to my full team. Thank you all for any replies and helpful advice.
First off, I learned that mega kangaskhan was banned in the OU tier recently. So I currently have an open spot on my team that I need to fill.
My team:
Gyarados (M) @ Gyaradosite
Trait: Moxie
Max ivs in HP, Att, and Spe.
Evs: 252 Att and 252 Spe
Jolly Nature (Spe+, Spa-)
-waterfall
-stone edge
-earthquake
-dragon dance
Reason for use: always have had good results with gyarados. The move pool keeps it open to where if I need the extra speed and power then I have access to it. The choice to go mega or not is strictly to protect against the 4x electric damage that could occur. The item is replaceable because it is only used for certain situations. Waterfall and stone edge are the main moves used. Earthquake would be used more if I didn't usually put gyarados in the middle of the team in triple battles. Earthquake could be replaced, but I would need another Pokemon that could use ground moves effectively to replace that coverage.
Volcarona (M) @ no item yet
Trait: flame body
Max ivs in HP, Spa, and Spe.
Evs: 252 Spa and 252 Spe
Timid Nature (Att-, Spe+)
-hidden power ice
-flamethrower
-bug buzz
-hurricane
Reason for use: versatile sweeper that is mostly used just to take care of Pokemon extremely weak to fire. Nice coverage against many other types as well. Can be replaced altogether. Does not play as big of a role in the team as I wish it could.
Starmie @ choice scarf
Trait: natural cure
Max ivs in HP, Spa, Spd, and Spe.
Evs: 252 Spa, 252 Spe
Timid Nature ( Att-, Spe+)
-psyshock
-ice beam
-thunderbolt
-hydro pump
Reason for use: nice sweeper from early game to late game. Outspeeds a good portion of the meta game and handles some of the other water and flying types. Choice scarf sacrifices power for speed but makes it a nice revenge killer. Great synergy with the rest of the team.
Aegislash (M) @ spooky plate
Trait: stance change
Max ivs in Hp, Att, Def, and Spd.
Max Evs in Hp and Att.
Brave Nature (Att+, Spe-)
-shadow sneak
-swords dance
-sacred sword
-kings shield
Reason for use: ev spread allows for overall defensive and special defensive protection. Also is a nice wall and usually have enough chances to power up. Investment in Hp keep it even for overall defense.
Also is a pivotal switch in for the rest of the team because of it's great resistances.
Azumarill (F) @ assault vest
Trait: huge power
Max ivs in Hp, Att, and Spd.
Max Evs in Att and Spd.
Adamant nature (Att+, Spa-)
-Aqua jet
-waterfall
-superpower
-play rough
Reason for use: nice dragon killer and aqua jet is a nice priority attack to use against most foes. I want to replace superpower and belly drum with two attacks that create more coverage that I lack. Still looking for a fourth move to replace superpower because I've never actually used it in a battle.
Scizor (M) @ no item
Trait: technician
Max ivs in Hp, Att, Def, Spd, and Spe
Evs: 252 Att and 252 Spe
Adamant nature (Att+, Spa-)
-bullet punch
-u-turn
-pursuit
-sword dance
Took the place of my kangaskhan. Looking to replace scizor or at the least revamp his moves and his purpose. I already have a dragonite, a vaporeon, politoed, and gliscor trained as well but not sure which one if any would work with the team.
