Metagross.png

Metagross@Choice Scarf
EVs:252 Hp/6 Atk./252 Spe
Nature:Adamant
Ability:Clear body
Moves:
-Meteor Mash
-Trick
-Explosion
-Stealth Rock
(Thanks for the suggestion Peachfuzz)

This set focuses more on Metagross' support capabilities and functions extremely well as a lead. Trick allows Metagross to incapacitate common Stealth Rock leads such as Azelf and Bronzong by locking them into a support move. However, Metagross should be wary of Azelf using Fire Blast. Meteor Mash is a given on any Metagross set due to its high base power and chance to boost Attack. Explosion allows Metagross to eliminate one of the opponent's Pokemon after it has finished Tricking Choice Scarf and setting up Stealth Rock or Reflect. Stealth Rock and Reflect are both excellent support choices that Metagross can utilize to aid the team.

With 393 Speed after Choice Scarf, Metagross is able to Trick its Choice Scarf onto Azelf and other lead support Pokemon before they have the chance to attack, locking them into whatever move they had chosen that turn. It is also important to note that Metagross with Choice Scarf outspeeds Shaymin-S and Gengar, two of the most common Pokemon in OU. Metagross will most likely be Exploding before late-game, so max Attack is used to bolster Explosion's damage instead of focusing on HP. If outspeeding Azelf is not an issue, Metagross can use an EV spread of 168 HP / 108 Atk / 232 Spe with an Adamant nature. This allows Metagross to outspeed Scarfless Gengar while never being 2HKOed by unboosted Shadow Ball. __________________

Your Tentacruel should definately have Ice Beam over Sludge Bomb, especially if Sludge Bomb is just to cover grass types, as ice is super effective against them anyway AND a majority of grass types are also poison type as well.

Your team does have 4 members that are vulnerable to Ice Attacks.

Possibly incorporate A Bullet Punch Scizor/Metagross/Lucario instead of Jumpluff, as Ice types will like your team, but will fall to any of these.

Besides that, if you really want to induce sleep, I'd do it with Hypnosis on Gengar, instead of Trick, and maybe use Life Orb instead of CScarf. However, you already have a SporePunching Breloom with Leech Seed, so It's not completely necessary.

And as Manipulated stated before me, Ice Beam is the better choice over Sludge Bomb, and it'd be good if you used Black Sludge instead of Leftovers, just for a bit of variety ^_^
Actually, if the Item Clause was in use, Black Sludge would be rather helpful.

That's all I've got for you.

Dragonite@ Yache Berry
EVs:252 Atk/252 Spe
Nature:Jolly
Ability:Inner Focus
Moves:
-Dragon Dance
-Outrage
-Earthquake
-Fire Punch

1 Dragon Dance from this Pokemon, and a Outrage will probably OHKO the Pokemon, also i would send this out cause of Dragon Pokemon. When a Rock,Fire,Eletric, etc. Pokemon comes out i'll use Earthquake to OHKO the Pokemon(maybe).Lets say a Grass,Steel,Ice,etc. Pokemon came out,I would quickly send this big guy into battle to give them a Firey Punch

Focus Sash would only be useful if you were leading with DDnite, and even then I'd still consider it as a poor option. Yache Berry is fine. As much as I hate to admid it though, Dragon Dance Nite is now outclassed by Salamence, however, since he's one of my favourites, I won't recommend to remove it, just be aware of the fact. On your comments... Don't switch Dragonite in on a Dragon type. He's the slowest of the OU Dragons for one, and some of them might DD on the switch, so Dragonite will die. Also, never switch Dragonite (or any other Dragon safe Kingdra) into an Ice Pokemon. He's just going to have himself OHKOed (or at least 2HKOed)

You have a massive Ice Weakness. Mamoswine OHKOs almost the entire Team with Ice Shard (Donphan isn't but he cant do anything back, really) and Tentacruel falls to Earthquake. You might want to try CB Scizor over Jumpluff or replace Donphan with Bronzong, since you already have a Spinner in Tentacruel. You are also quite Gengar weak, against whom both of these Pokemon could somewhat be helpful (maybe)

Salamence@Yache Berry
EVs:252 Atk/252 Spe
Nature:Jolly
Ability:Inner Focus
Moves:
-Dragon Dance
-Stone Edge
-Earthquake
-Dragon Claw

I would change Stone Edge to Fire Blast and Dragon Claw to Outrage. Your team has a bit of a problem with the dominant steel types in this metagame, walling quite a few of your pokes with ease.

The Choice Scarf Metagross lead with Stealth Rock would be a much better lead than Donphan. Meteor Mash/Stealth Rock/Trick/Explosion would be great. With Tentacruel having Rapid Spin and Metagross having Stealth Rock, you should probably replace Donphan entirely, as it is a pretty bad pokemon otherwise.

For Donphan's slot, a solid Gyarados counter would be good, as you will have a hard time once it gets one Dragon Dance. The Rotom appliances do well to block Gyarados (maybe not the best) but they also block rapid spinners and stop Scizor who may be a menace to your team.

Just watch out for Tyranitar. Tyranitar is very dangerous to your team. Luckily all the members of your team can give it a hard time (note: use Rotom-w, Rotom-c, or Will-o-wisp to discourage Tyranitar switch-ins).

Donphan@Leftovers
EVs:252 HP/6Atk./252 Def
Nature:Impish
Ability:Sturdy
Moves:
-Rapid Spin
-Earthquake
-Ice Shard
-Stealth rock

I'll probably use this as my lead, because it has Stealth rock in the moveset. When like a Dragon,Ground,Grass etc. comes out,I'll switch into this one to use Ice Shard to outspeed Pokemon such as Salamence,Gliscor,etc..When my opponent laysdown the Rocks/Spikes i'll just use Rapid Spin to clear the stage. When a Rock,Fire,Eletric, etc. Pokemon comes out i'll use Earthquake to OHKO the Pokemon(maybe)

Yeah, good, though I rarely see a spinner as a starer. And while there aren't many pokes out there who lead well against this, you are just asking for a stall war with Zong. However, its up to you. It is a fine lead and you shouldn't have to change it.

-Earthquake/Brick break
-Dragon Claw

I wouldn't go with pure physical Salamence, since you already have Breloom and Metagross covering you fromthe phsical point, so make him mixed. I'm not positive on the EVs for mixmence, but work off what I gave you. You can run DD, though I think you should go mixed.

Good, but you are going to have trouble trying to execute Focus Punch without Sub. Try it if you have that problem.

Ice Beam = essential on Tentacruel. He can hurt a lot more pokes with it than Sludge Bomb. I know you want a good STAB move, but you have Surf. Other than that, very nice:pimp:

Metagross@Choice Band
EVs:252 Hp/6 Atk./252 Spe
Nature:Adamant
Ability:Clear body
Moves:
-Pursuit
-Earthquake
-Explosion
-Bullet Punch

a Choice Band Pokemon.I'll usually send this one out if theres a Rock,Fire,Stell, etc. Type Pokemon out on the battlefield. What if the Pokemon has 1 HP left and Meta has 1 HP Left, well i'll use Bullet Punch to outspeed the Pokemon. To Finish him,I'll just use Explosion

Mash isn't nessesary, but Pursuit is, otherwise traping ghosts and Psychics in won't work. While you don't have blaring Ghost weakness, Gengar still won't be cake for this team. Pursuit from Gross traps them in and then they can die. and even if they don't switch, CB Pursuit still kills. but good.

Changes in Bold

Make Metagross the lead, use the BulkyGyarados EVs and change Earthquake to Stone Edge to give you a very solid counter to opposing Gyarados.
