Team I'm Building (OU)

Alright, Here's my attempt at a competitive Team.

Gengar - Choice
Item - Choice Scarf/Specs
Nature - Timid
EVs - 4 Def, 252 SpA, 252 Spe
Moveset:
~Shadow Ball
~Thunderbolt
~Focus Blast
~Trick

My Special sweeper, Gengar, uses Choice Specs. He's really fast, and with a high SpA, He lands a good hit on his opponent.

Specs or Scarf, Specs or Scarf? Well, I like them fast, but the power of the move is just as important. I think I'll go with the Specks for now, just to try and stay on the safe side with his Special Attack. I just need to remember to know the difference between all of the Choice items.. It'll kill me otherwise.

I'm having trouble with Thunderbolt though. Unless Gengar can learn it through training, I'm going to have to get 2 Thunderbolt TMs in stead of one. I was wondering if it was possible to switch it for anything? I've been having a really tough time figuring out where to get the move, too.

Rhyperior (solid rock) - Choice Bander
Item - Choice Band
Nature - Adamant
Evs - 192 HP, 100 Atk, 156 SpD, 60 Spd
Move set:
~Earthquake
~Stone Edge
~Fire Punch
~Megahorn

Here's my Tank. He's not the fastest Rhyperior, but he's got good attack and special defense. I'll use him to take out a threat to my other pokémon, so any Fire types better watch out, my Rhyperior's commin to get you!

This is a lot better then my original thoughts. The more Attack and health points on him the better, and Special Defense needs to be there for any Water or Grass moves. What if there's a Vaporeon out there who's got some super water move set for me? I don't want to die right on the spot.

Besides that point, the added on Attack with a maxed out IV in Attack would be great for a tough Rhyperior, and I'll make sure to try and get one with some max Hp or Defense IVs, too. If I can succeed in that, then Maybe my Rhyperior will have a chance.

Jolteon - Yawn Passer
Item - Shuca Berry
Nature - Timid
Evs - 3 HP, 250 SpA, 249 Spe, 6 Def
Move Set:
~Baton Pass
~Substitute
~Thunderbolt
~Yawn

An eeveelution who passes a Sub and leaves after Yawning. His purpose is to put one of the Pokémon in the opponent's team to sleep, possibly one that could harm one of my other pokemon. He also passes over his Sub, which protects my pokémon from Spikes and Stealth Rock.

Yup, the eevelution, Jolteon, and its passing set. What? Can't I enjoy a Jolteon on my party? I've always loved little Jolti. It'll take me some breeding, too, but I'll get the perfect Eevee to be the greatest Jolteon. A Priority for this pokémon is to make sure and try to get the Max IV for Speed, SpA and/or SpD. I noticed in most builds, Jolteon is holding Leftovers. Is this because of the bad HP stat? I'll guess that's it.

The bad thing about using Jolteon is that I now have sealed off a chance for its water relative, Vaporeon. I adore them both, but Jolteon just seems much better. I'm just a little frightened for its weakness to Ground is all.

Blissey(natural cure) - Wish Bliss
Item - Leftovers
Nature - Calm
Evs - 252 Def, 80 SpA, 170 SpD
Move Set:
~Wish
~Softboiled
~Flamethrower
~Toxic

My Wall, of course. She's my Special wall. I don't have a physical Wall, but I do have my Special wall, Blissey to protect my other Pokémon from harm!

Blissey, Blissey, Blissey. Everyone has to have a Blissey. And, because of this fact, here is my beautiful Blissey.

She's just your standard Wish Bliss. Wish, Softboiled, Flamethrower, Toxic. Eh. Whatcha expect? A Super Blissey bent on destroying the world? Nah. Only I'm allowed to try and take over this humungo world. Blissey will help me by walling and Wishing.

Dragonite - Bulky Dragon Dancer
Item - Lum Berry
Nature - Adamant
Evs - 252 HP, 60 Atk, 196 Spe
Move Set:
Dragon Dance
Light Screen
Roost
Dragon Claw

He's either a Sweeper or a Tank, I say he's a little too fast to be a tank though. He's my Dragon Dancing sweeper. He's, of course, here to get rid of low-defensive pokémon. So blissey may want to watch it since her defense sucks.

I've decided that, though I value Speed as much as Attack and Defense, I chose Dragonite instead of Salamence. I'll breed it so my Dragonite has max IV in Speed, Attack and Defense. If I can do that much, I think my pot-bellied dragon will do pretty well against its Cousin. The fact that Dragonite's been around longer also aids him a bit, and Dragonite can learn moves that Salamence can't, like Light Screen. Thanks to Light Screen, I can put up a great defense against Special Ice moves. Also, Dragonite will be able to heal himself with Roost, raise up a lot of his stats with Dragon Dance and also deal some good damage with his Dragon Claw. I think this set is a great use of Dragonite's Light Screen, something it holds over Salamence, proving many of you wrong about how Dragonite isn't as good as Salamence. Salamence and Dragonite fighting eachother would probably be a close battle, seeing that Dagonite has a better Def and SpD.

Scizor (Technician) - Choice Bander
Item - Choice Band
Nature - Adamant
EVs - 252 HP, 252 Atk, 4 Spe
Move Set:
~U-Turn
~Bullet Punch
~Super Power
~Pursuit

He's a Physical sweeper, and does a pretty good job at it. His whopping Atk power, He's got a powerful landing with his moves.

Scizor is an improvement over Weavile because it's not quite as weak to Fighting as Weavile, but it's not as fast. That's something that worries me. And it's double whammy to Fire is worrisome, too, since I have no water types. Besides that one Weakness, Scizor in this set has a very high Attack, and with the Health EVs and a slight boost in speed, I think Scizor is a better choice then Weavile. Getting the right IVs, as I've said before, is very important. I'll make sure to breed him with a max Attack IV for sure, then Try for Speed and HP/Defense.

How do you like it?

Ok,first of all, putting a choice band on a special sweeper is completley useless, considering that the band raises attack, not specail attack like the choice specs,2nd,rypherior should have atleast SOME attack evs in it,tank or not.3d,jolteon should be a timid nature, seeing that it has no physical moves to be used and hasty nature is a waste of his defence.the wishbliss is fine,4th,accually,salamence CAN 1hko dragonite with a life orbed outrage and is always faster unless dnite is scarfed(wich i dont reccomend) and last but not least,sd weavile is outdated and scizors and metagrosses will pick you right off with bullet punch.and you need to add more commentary or it wil get locked.for a replacement on weavile id suggest a mamoswine252atk/252spe/6hp @choice band with earthquake ice shard superpower and stone edge.reply or pm me back with any further questions
