Howdy gang, this is my first RMT. It's of my signature team JADOW (based around the villans of Viewtiful Joe). Don't be deceived however, this team is certainly OU viable. Welp, here goes...
Gliscor (aka Charles III) @ Leftovers
Sand Veil
204 HP, 88 Atk, 216 Spd
Impish
-Earthquake
-Stealth Rock
-Taunt
-U Turn
My lead. He serves to scout opposing movesets and lay down some rocks. He also prevents other similar set-up-leads by edging them out speed wise and ruining their fun with taunt. He can also take care of most other spikers with the exception of Tentacruel...but I haven't seen much of him lately.
Tyranitar (aka Hulk Davidson) @ Babiri Berry
Sand Stream
116 Atk, 250 Spd, 144 SAtk
Naive
-Crunch
-Dragon Dance
-Fire Blast
-Ice Beam
Bit of an odd set here, but it gets the job done. He obviously puts the sandstorm up and protects himself and Gliscor. Crunch is his all around power mover, while the special attacks are for dragons, foretress, and scizor. Dragon Dance is there not only for the actual stat up, but as a fake out maneuver. They think I'm solely physical, they send in foretress and then BOOM, tough actin' Tenactin, he's history. Babiri berry is there to make sure Metagross and Scizor are kept in check.
Sharpedo (aka Gran Bruce) @ Choice Scarf
Rough Skin
102 Atk, 176 Spd, 232 SAtk
Mild
-Crunch
-Earthquake
-Hydro Pump
-Ice Beam
Alright, I know what you're thinking...Sharpedo, he sucks? I say, you're half right. Sure he can't really take a hit, but no one I fight really knows what he CAN do. Believe it or not with a scarf this guy makes a mean cleaner. There is nothing I enjoy more than killing a full health Salamence with a Sharpedo Ice Beam...it just brings tears to my eyes. Rough skin is also pretty good, becuase when someone kills him physically, they get damaged (so I always try to make sharpedo go against weakened physical sweepers to finish them off easily)I can also get a few moves in if people are unsure of his speed, and conservatively switch out on him. Good for me! Oh yeah, and hydro pump is there too.
Scizor (aka Another Joe) @ Leftovers
Technician
248 HP, 88 Atk, 174 Spd
Adamant
-Agility
-Baton Pass
-Bullet Punch
-Swords Dance
The Ultimate team player. He can help out anybody on the team, and hold his own by himself. Not too much to say here...everybody (especially Gallade) enjoys the boosts. Strategy is usually stat up, and bullet punch or pass...that's it, pretty straight forward. I didn't go with Roost, so I made sure to give him lefties. General team strategy revolves initially on getting this guy in.
Shiny Gallade (aka Alastor) @ Leftovers
Steadfast
252 HP, 152 Atk, 104 Spd
Adamant
-Close Combat
-Night Slash
-Thunder Wave
-Will O Wisp
Give him a few boosts and the only thing I have to worry about are priority moves. What's more, if I can predict a fake out from a Weavile or something, I can send him in. Weavile always switches which gives me a free status turn. Burn the hard hitters and Paralyze the speedy ones. Also, he doesn't have that bad of type coverage given he only uses two moves. Even without boosts, he is a force to be reckoned with with stab Close Combat. Night Slash is there for Dusknoir and Cresselia.
Arcanine (aka Fire Leo) @ Leftovers
Intimidate
78 HP, 252 Atk, 180 Spd
Adamant
-ExtremeSpeed
-Flare Blitz
-Howl
-Thunder Fang
Another awesome cleaner. If I can get in on an ineffective attack, I howl, and then ExtremeSpeed/Flare Blitz til my hearts content. Thunder fang is for obligatory water coverage, but I was considering toxic in that spot...what do you think? Also, if he gets any amount of boosts from Scizor, then Extreme Speed gets utterly ridiculous. As a side note, some people switch unnecessarily on this guy too...weird, guess he just isn't common.
Well, what do you think? It is by no means perfect, but hey, that's why I'm here. I have been playing with various versions of this team for about three years now, and my win % is roughly 70 +or- 5%. This is the latest incarnation and I think I'm nearing where I want this team to finally end up. Not too standard, viable, and fun to play with. Anyhow, as far as criticism goes, I'd prefer changes to spreads and movesets, before stooping to changing a pokemon all together. Thanks for your help in advanced guys.
