Team Jutsu Annihilation

Team Jutsu Annihilation [OU RMT]

~Hey people!~

Thanks for clicking on this Rate My Team. I know the name is somewhat Naruto related, but ignore that if you're not a Naruto fan ;o. Anyway, this is a team that is build around Zapdos. Zapdos is a forgotten Life Orb Sweeper, and I noticed some teams can be very weak to these kinds of Zapdos. I know that Latias somewhat walls this whole thing, but I got pokemon to deal with Latias and some other pokemon that counters Zapdos's other walls. I hope you enjoy reading this RMT, and I'm sorry if any of the grammar is wrong, I'm from the Netherlands, English is not my first language :P. Enjoy!

~A Closer look~

gliscor.png

Doryuuheki (Gliscor) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP/40 Atk/216 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Roost
---
Gliscor is an awesome lead. I use it as a lead in a lot of teams, because I think it does a good job at it. I guess this is pretty obvious. Taunt for slower pokemon such ass Metagross and Bronzong, so they can't bring Stealth Rocks. This is also my check to Lucario, since it walls Lucario so good. I might decide to use U-turn over Taunt, because U-turn helps to scout my opponent's switch-ins. I do need Taunt for stall though.

flygon.png

Shunshin (Flygon) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Outrage
- Thunderpunch
---
Flygon is awesome. Flygon is one of those pokemon who can revenge kill pretty good while also hurting pretty bad with Outrage. I guess this is a pretty standard Flygon for exception of Thunder Punch, I'll come to that later. I chose Flygon in this team because I needed to hurt Latias in another way than just Scizor. Any Latias can carry Hidden Power Fire to finish off my precious Scizor, then Zapdos can't sweep. So I chose Flygon to deal with Latias and other Dragons. U-turn is pretty handy aswell, and together with Scizor, it makes a good U-turn combo team. And if I decide to go with U-turn on Gliscor, then it'll be a 4 U-turn combo :D. Anyway, I chose Thunderpunch because I wanted to have a second check to Dragon Dance Gyarados. If Vaporeon is dead, it can sweep my whole team.

vaporeon.png

Suijinheki (Vaporeon) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Surf
- Wish
- Protect
---
Standard Vaporeon. Vaporeon is a pokemon which can be used on almost every team. Wish is such a handy move. It helps Zapdos regain some HP when switching in, and it can heal itself aswell. Hidden Power is for those nasty Water-types such as Gyarados and Starmie. Starmie might carry Thunderbolt aswell so I mostly avoid battle with it. I love Protect because it scouts what my opponent will do. Especially handy against Choice users.

infernape.png

Amaterasu (Infernape) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 Atk/192 Spd/64 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Close Combat
- U-turn
- Mach Punch
- Overheat
---
Physically Mix Ape. I love it. This is my third pokemon with U-turn, and god I love it. This lures Latias like Honey lures Bee's. U-turn to scout their (Latias) switch-ins, then go to the appropriate counter. Mach Punch is there for Lucario who might come in and sweep if Gliscor died, and it also helps against scarfed pokemon such as Tyranitar or Weavile, who's also faster even without a scarf. As you can see, this whole team makes it difficult to switch-in Latias.

scizor.png

RasenShuriken (Scizor) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 120 HP/176 Atk/212 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Pursuit
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Bullet Punch
---
Oh god how original! /sarcasm. Anyway, this is a pretty good check to Latias without Hidden Power Fire and without Specs. It traps them pretty good. U-turn helps with the theme of this team and it's pretty strong if used by Scizor. All around Scizor is just awesome.

Zapdos.png

Chidori (Zapdos) @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Heat Wave
- Roost
---
Finally, the star of this team! Zapdos is a very underrated pokemon in terms of sweeping. I've literally beaten whole teams with this after beating their wall or Latias. Stealth Rock is pretty annoying, but Roost helps. Besides, it's my only Stealth Rock weakness so I didn't see the need of a Rapid Spinner. But if you think I need one, go ahead and suggest one. Thunderbolt is very powerfull with max Special Attack and Life Orb. Hidden Power Grass beats Hippowdon and Swampert, Heat Wave for everything else like Scizor and Metagross. This is also speaks for itself.

Alright.

After looking over your team, I've noticed that you're pretty weak to LO Starmie. It hits 5 of your 6 pokemon super effectively. Scizor is the only pokemon that isn't, but Scizor isn't very specially bulky and is pretty susceptible to Hydro Pump, especially since Bullet Punch is resisted. i would like to suggest a bulky Scizor spread for you.

Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
Nature: Adamant
120 HP / 176 Atk / 212 Sp Def
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Pursuit
- Superpower

Between that and Scarf Flygon, life should be a bit easier. This set will also make it easier for you to eliminate Latias, as you won't be taking as much from Surf or Thunderbolt. You will however be taken out by Hidden Power [Fire]. The given spread allows you to not be 3HKOed by non LO Surf or Thunderbolt without Stealth Rock Damage. LO Surf and Thunderbolt only 3HKO with Stealth Rock damage.

I don't think you need ThunderPunch on Flygon. Vaporeon is the ultimate counter for Gyarados. You already have recovery and Hidden Power [Electric] on Vaporeon. I would just ThunderPunch to Fire Blast so you can hit the steel-types that will inevitably be switching in. I would then switch your nature to Naive to keep the Speed and not lower your Special Attack.

Hope that helps and good luck with your team!

I find Scarf Flygon quite unnecessary. The combination of Scizor and Vaporeon's Wish support means that you've got Dragon-type pokemon covered handily, and you're already using a much better Gyarados answer in Vaporeon. DDTar is beaten by Infernape and Choice Band Tyranitar is beaten by Gliscor if locked into any move not named Aqua Tail. As such, I recommend you replace Gliscor with Life Orb Heatran.

Heatran @ Life Orb
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive nature (+Spe, -SpD)
-Flamethrower
-Earth Power
-Hidden Power Grass
-Explosion

Why do you want this set? Because otherwise Blissey will stick around to wall Zapdos. Sure, Scizor and Infernape can OHKO Blissey, but who leaves their Blissey in against those Pokemon? Life Orb Heatran lures in Blissey who will try to wall you, and then Explodes in its face, opening the door for a Zapdos sweep.

I agree with DJX09 that the team does have a LO Starmie weakness and support the change in Scizors EVs that he proposed above.

I also agree that T-Punch on Flygon and HP electric on Vaporeon is a bit redundant and unnecessary so you could go with Fire Blast > T-punch on Flygon or you could change Vaporeons last move because it does have a bit more versatility. Even though you do have 2 ground types to absorb T-waves, Heal bell can be used to cure all status's that can hurt your team. Since you dont have a sleep absorber, that could be useful. You could also you toxic for toxic stalling or ice beam for another DD mence check because flygon often has to resort to a speed tie with it.

Also i would add another 4 EVs in speed to out speed all gliscor's who use 216 speed EVs.

Overall Solid team, GL with it

Don't you mean I should change Flygon to Heatran? Because you said Gliscor :P. Without Gliscor, Lucario will own me.

I think crunchatize me ment to say flygon too. since you already have u-turn for 3 other members of your team, I'd stick with taunt on gliscor since he is your only way to deal with stall. Heatran can aid zapdos nicely and with more fire types on your team, the more you can abuse vaporeons water absorb.

hope this helps!

Tested Heatran but gave me more of a Water Weakness. Changed Vaporeon's HP Electric to Heal Bell, though didn't work out. I will try Toxic or Roar.
