Team Jutsu Annihilation [OU RMT]
Thanks for clicking on this Rate My Team. I know the name is somewhat Naruto related, but ignore that if you're not a Naruto fan ;o. Anyway, this is a team that is build around Zapdos. Zapdos is a forgotten Life Orb Sweeper, and I noticed some teams can be very weak to these kinds of Zapdos. I know that Latias somewhat walls this whole thing, but I got pokemon to deal with Latias and some other pokemon that counters Zapdos's other walls. I hope you enjoy reading this RMT, and I'm sorry if any of the grammar is wrong, I'm from the Netherlands, English is not my first language :P. Enjoy!
Doryuuheki (Gliscor) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP/40 Atk/216 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Roost
---
Gliscor is an awesome lead. I use it as a lead in a lot of teams, because I think it does a good job at it. I guess this is pretty obvious. Taunt for slower pokemon such ass Metagross and Bronzong, so they can't bring Stealth Rocks. This is also my check to Lucario, since it walls Lucario so good. I might decide to use U-turn over Taunt, because U-turn helps to scout my opponent's switch-ins. I do need Taunt for stall though.
Shunshin (Flygon) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Outrage
- Thunderpunch
---
Flygon is awesome. Flygon is one of those pokemon who can revenge kill pretty good while also hurting pretty bad with Outrage. I guess this is a pretty standard Flygon for exception of Thunder Punch, I'll come to that later. I chose Flygon in this team because I needed to hurt Latias in another way than just Scizor. Any Latias can carry Hidden Power Fire to finish off my precious Scizor, then Zapdos can't sweep. So I chose Flygon to deal with Latias and other Dragons. U-turn is pretty handy aswell, and together with Scizor, it makes a good U-turn combo team. And if I decide to go with U-turn on Gliscor, then it'll be a 4 U-turn combo :D. Anyway, I chose Thunderpunch because I wanted to have a second check to Dragon Dance Gyarados. If Vaporeon is dead, it can sweep my whole team.
Suijinheki (Vaporeon) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Surf
- Wish
- Protect
---
Standard Vaporeon. Vaporeon is a pokemon which can be used on almost every team. Wish is such a handy move. It helps Zapdos regain some HP when switching in, and it can heal itself aswell. Hidden Power is for those nasty Water-types such as Gyarados and Starmie. Starmie might carry Thunderbolt aswell so I mostly avoid battle with it. I love Protect because it scouts what my opponent will do. Especially handy against Choice users.
Amaterasu (Infernape) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 Atk/192 Spd/64 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Close Combat
- U-turn
- Mach Punch
- Overheat
---
Physically Mix Ape. I love it. This is my third pokemon with U-turn, and god I love it. This lures Latias like Honey lures Bee's. U-turn to scout their (Latias) switch-ins, then go to the appropriate counter. Mach Punch is there for Lucario who might come in and sweep if Gliscor died, and it also helps against scarfed pokemon such as Tyranitar or Weavile, who's also faster even without a scarf. As you can see, this whole team makes it difficult to switch-in Latias.
RasenShuriken (Scizor) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 120 HP/176 Atk/212 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Pursuit
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Bullet Punch
---
Oh god how original! /sarcasm. Anyway, this is a pretty good check to Latias without Hidden Power Fire and without Specs. It traps them pretty good. U-turn helps with the theme of this team and it's pretty strong if used by Scizor. All around Scizor is just awesome.
Chidori (Zapdos) @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Heat Wave
- Roost
---
Finally, the star of this team! Zapdos is a very underrated pokemon in terms of sweeping. I've literally beaten whole teams with this after beating their wall or Latias. Stealth Rock is pretty annoying, but Roost helps. Besides, it's my only Stealth Rock weakness so I didn't see the need of a Rapid Spinner. But if you think I need one, go ahead and suggest one. Thunderbolt is very powerfull with max Special Attack and Life Orb. Hidden Power Grass beats Hippowdon and Swampert, Heat Wave for everything else like Scizor and Metagross. This is also speaks for itself.
