Well I’m back with my previous team with a few changes, but the team was missing something but I couldn’t put my finger on it. The main reason for this rate coming back up is I am stuck in the mud on whether or not to take p2 out and replace with something that knows roar, for scouting purposes. As most understand, playing with salamence/Dragonite requires scouting for knowledge of any steel types who are ready to ruin your fun. That why I thought roar would be better than my previous Latias, which once you replace a core member, it is hard to get things back on track. So I brought my problem to the Smogon Community, in hopes that you could cure my problem.
As a note I will replace anyone on this team necessary bar Dragonite, the core of this team. To replace someone I am requesting a good reason and not because of bias.

So here is how the team stands, special thanks to pokemon.marrialand.com for the team builder.

As you can see I have two x3 weaknesses, and help with those is advised. I’m not too worried about the ground, however, because I have 2 immunities.

Team Concerns:…
?Is Porygon that important?
?Does anybody need to be switched out?
?Do I need a spinner or someone with roar?
?Who would the spinner/roarer replace?
While rating please take these in mind

Finally, I’ll stop talking and get to the juicy part….. I present, Team Last Stand!!!(V2)

Hyperion
Metagross @ Occa Berry
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 236 Atk / 12 Def / 8 Spe
Nature: Adamant
- Stealth Rock

- Earthquake
- Meteor Mash
- Bullet Punch

Aw, the most common lead today, and I sure do see why. After switching from my previous leftovers item, I can now take fire attacks to an extent, and always get my rocks up. Once I send him in and he does his job, I keep him in a bit longer. I once swept three pokemon without switching this guy out at all. I Keep Meteor Mash in for sweeping purposes. Once Salamence is locked into Outrage, I keep Meteor Mashing him down. Surprisingly it ends up 3-4hkoing him. That is one reason I like using him as my lead, he is my steel tank. If a fire lead comes in I usually switch out and bring Gyarados in, who laughs at Heatran and Infernape and returns with a stab Waterfall. Meteor Mash also has a rare chance of raising my attack one stage, which is plenty to seal Salamence doom.
The reason I’m not running Explosion is because I’d rather use him to try for a few KO’s in the early game then end with a bang. Bullet punch is too weak for my likings. Synergistic wise he’s pretty sweet. He resists what Dragonite is weak too, and Dragonite resists his weaknesses and can revenge kill for him.

Fire- Dragonite, Tyranitar, Gyarados
Ground- Dragonite, Gyarados

130.png
Leviathan
Gyarados @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 156 HP / 72 Atk / 96 Def / 184 Spe
Nature: Adamant
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge
- Taunt

What a beast, this thing can wreak havoc. It can come in on a fire type lead and set up a Dragon Dance. After I can taunt, and the rest is history. Skarmory gets a big kick out of being taunted, and water/rock combo is only resisted by lantern and Empoleon. If I am already Dragon Danced up I can taunt an incoming Salamence, practically forcing him out with a -1 attack, and no way of bringing it up. This thing can almost guarantee a kill, and serves as my opening boom. He also serves as my team’s bulky water. This Leviathan can take a hit and dish an even bigger one right back. He packs team support as Metagross resists pesky rock attacks flying his way. Not much else to say about this thundering beast.

Electric- Metagross
Rock- Lucario, Metagross

Data
Porygon 2 @ Leftovers
Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 40 SpA
Nature: Modest
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Thunder wave
- Recover

This is my first time even considering him, but reading LR’s Team Siren Song persuaded me from a scout. Read the following of his Prygon2’s description

LR <3 P2. This is really such a great pokemon, and fits in very nicely in my team. Lucario often gives things like Salamence and Gyarados free turns to set up, so I need something that can provide a guaranteed stop to them. And what better a counter than Porygon2? Intimidating the duo on the switch in, he takes laughable damage from LO Outrage and Waterfall and can OHKO both of them. Porygon2 can also Trace Electivire's Motor Drive and Jolteon's Volt Absorb as they try to zap Gyarados; Trace Magnezone's Magnet Pull after it kills one of my steels and paralyse it while taking <50% from Thunderbolt; can copy Dugtrio's Arena Trap and kill it with Ice Beam while taking less than half health damage from CB Earthquake; and can trace Heatran's Flash Fire and paralyze it as it tries to prey on Scizor. All in all, P2 rocks.

Ice Beam and Thunderbolt give it excellent coverage and get the aforementioned KOs on Salamence/Gyarados. Although Toxic would be really nice in helping stall out other bulky pokemon, the great sweeping advantage granted to all my pokemon by Thunder Wave is too good an opportunity to pass up. Once paralyzed, things like Zapdos, Gyarados, Magnezone, Heatran, etc cease to be threats any more. Recover makes Porygon2 extremely hard to take down. I've out stalled whole stall teams without T spikes with this thing before.

Porygon2 provides excellent paralysis support for all my pokemon, and works great in tandem with Gyarados.”

Well by random my team carried a Gyarados, Tyranitar, and Lucario just like his, and that’s how Pory found his spot on my team. Special thx to LR for his amazing RMT. And just as quoted, he makes a supreme Salamence/Gyarados counter, OHKOing both of them and recover the damage.

Fighting- Gyarados, Dragonite,

448.png
Lucario @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner focus
EVs: 4 Def / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Nature: Adamant
- Sword Dance
- Close Combat
- Extreme Speed
- Stone Edge

Definitely something special, as I am completely unresisted. I can hit everything bar the most annoying thing alive-Blissey-. They should ban it to Ubers just because of how it crushes any special sweeper’s potential, even Lucario Stab 115 base stated Aura Sphere, which is sad. However most of my team is physical so that problem is relinquished. HP ice puts Salamence and other dragons at bay, while Vacuum Wave is great priority for switching in and picking weaker foes off. He also puts an end to the infamous Tyranitar. He is also my special sweeper so physical walls don’ thrash me to bits. Not much else to say about him, but he is pretty cool looking.

Fighting-Gyarados, Dragonite
Fire-Gyarados, Dragonite, Tyranitar
Ground-Gyarados, Dragonite

149.png
Dragonaut
Dragonite @ Yache Berry
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature: Jolly
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Roost
/Heal Bell

My favorite Pokemon and the central core of the team and its design. The whole team is designed to give this guy the best sweep possible. Lucario can clear steel types, even Magnezone with Stab Aura Sphere, and Porygon 2 can recover off damage from bulky waters caring ice beam. Why he isn’t as popular as Salamence I have no clue. His bulk is far superior, and he definitely has a surprise factor. Any dragon based team is bound to carry a Salamence, but no this one.

His play is fairly simple. Come into battle, Dragon Dance, and resume to sweep away. My goal is to use him as much as possible without Outrage, but when the time comes, I use it…with indescribable force. If I happen to be lucky enough to pull of two Dragon Dances, it was a good game, because you fate is done. Fire Ground and Dragon go completely unresisted so sweeping isn’t that hard. I enjoy watching a Salamence fall to my +1 Outrage, as it does its justice.

Well, he wasn't bulky enough for me. So I switched out power for survival, bringing in a Yache Berry to make things easier. I am also going to use weither heal bell or roost, I'm hoping you can help me on that.

I hope that all of you will at least give this guy a go, because he is worth your time.

Ice- Metagross, Tyranitar, Lucario
Dragon-Metagross, Lucario somewhat
Rock-Metagross, Lucario, Tyranitar

248.png
Tyranno
Tyranitar @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Nature: Adamant
- Stone Edge
- Pursuit
- Crunch
- Earthquake

Ahh, the wrap up of the show. I always love Tyranitar because of his monstrous attack and bulk, but his speed was always a hindrance. This relinquishes that, making him a fast, strong closer. He closes because no one likes sand stream and he has to have it, but it greatly benefits him. Great type coverage, OHKOing Latias, Starmie, Azelf, Infernape, Gengar, Salamence, and Lucario, which is amazing. Gyarados can now sweep away with Rotom out of his way. I know I started writing a lot and ended weak, nut there really isn’t much to say but he clears a lot of major OU sweepers. Gyarados and Tyranitar work great together because Gyarados can absorb many x2 attack flying at it.

Bug- Gyarados
Fighting- Gyarados, Dragonite
Grass- Dragonite, Metagross
Ground- Dragonite, Gyarados
Steel- Gyarados, Metagross
Water- Gyarados, Dragonite

Well that’s my team, please rate well and thank you for reading!

Lucario isn't outrunning ANY OU Dragons and they all carry moves to destroy him, Choice Specs Lucario is rather gimmicky and it wont be netting you any kills on dragons. Also you have nothing for swampert, he really hampers this team, SR taking a chunk of Gyara and can Roar,[If you taunt, they'll just switch out] EQ from swampert taking down Lucario, Tyranitar, Metagross. P2's Thunder-Wave & ThunderBolt don't even tickle him and icebeam does that exactly...:tickle him. Can't rely on chipping him away seeing how hes immune to sandstorm and resistant to rocks. & if your running the offensive DD set, Salamence it please, your dragonite has to run a jolly nature to basically mimic salamence, while salamence can use an adamant or a jolly nature to either further nuke or outrun stuff, in all- dragonite fails.

If you run a Timid nature, you can outrun a neutral natured 252 Spe mence, before DD that is.
I would also put superpower over earthquake on Ttar, hitting other ttars harder and also blissey.
All in all, nice, well rounded team.

I don't really see why you are running Specs Lucario on your team. Honestly it looks like it was just randomly thrown on because you like its type coverage or whatever. While Specs Lucario is very good, I think that a Swords Dance Lucario could be so much better on your team. Swords Dance Lucario is a monstrously powerful sweeper, and fits in wonderfully on your team, as Choice Scarf Tyranitar is basically one of the best supporters for Swords Dance Lucario that you can possibly use. Choice Scarf Tyranitar gets rid of opposing Scarf Rotom-H or whatever who would otherwise be able to easily end Lucario's sweep; with these pests out the way, Lucario will almost always be able to pull off a clean sweep. Alongside Gyarados, he makes for a great mid-game cleaner or late-game finisher, and I think that he will really help your team in the long run, especially against heavy offensive teams (because nothing on those teams like taking a Swords Dance boosted Extremespeed, trust me). Try a set of Swords Dance | Close Combat | Extremespeed | Stone Edge, an EV spread of 4 HP | 252 Atk | 252 Spe, and an Adamant nature with the ability Inner Focus and the item Life Orb.

While I'm a huge fan of Dragonite, you really aren't using it right at all. You currently have it in the role of mega-offensive Dragon Dancer, where it is directly outclassed by Salamence every time. What you need to run instead is a Bulky Dragon Dance Dragonite. Bulky DDNite presents Dragonite in a role where it is not outclassed by Salamence: as a bulky, tough to KO, supporting sweeper. Use a set of Dragon Dance | Dragon Claw | Earthquake | Roost, an EV spread of 224 HP | 84 Atk | 220 Spe, and an Adamant nature with the item Lum Berry. The main reason to use Dragon Claw over the more powerful Outrage on this set is because Dragon Claw, while dealing less damage, allows Dragonite to survive for longer; getting locked into Outrage is the last thing a bulky boosting sweeper like this Dragonite wants to be doing.

Another pressing issue about your team is the fact that you lack a resistance to Electric-type moves. This means that Choice Specs Jolteon and Scarf Rotom-H can fire off Thunderbolts all day, and not have anything to fear from your Pokemon switching in (except for Rotom-H on Tyranitar). The only thing that I can see Porygon2 doing on your team is checking threats; once it does, it becomes nothing but set-up fodder. I think that a Pokemon could fit better in that spot while mostly doing the same thing: Choice Scarf Latias. Scarf Latias can check DDGyara and DDMence very easily, and can fire off powerful Draco Meteors with which to dent the opposition. She is also easy Pursuit bait, which gives Swords Dance Lucario (should you choose to go with SDLuke) a chance to come in and Swords Dance on the switch out. Latias also resists Electric type moves. Anyway, try a set of Draco Meteor | Thunderbolt | Surf | Trick, an EV spread of 4 HP | 252 SpA | 252 Spe, and a Timid nature.

Sorry if my changes seem a little drastic, but overall I believe that they will really help your team as a whole. I'll re-read your RMT later and see if I can find anything else.

Zole-Problems with swampert I definitely have problems with. Just how to fix these...I have no idea. Help is needed. But I don't agree with Dragonite. He can survive more tan Salamence can, and this team bar lucario is more bulky offence. FOr Swampert I am going to run Toxix>Thunder Wave, so I can at least outstall him.

Cloud Nine- For timid do you mean Lucario? But I will use Superpower. I bugs me though that right after using it I am forced to switch out, which get extremely annoying.

Snorlaxe- Yes, Sword Dance Lucario is in, I'm going to use that one. As for Draogonite I will test the bulky set. However it worries me that I don't have anything for Skarmory, so I'll have to kill him with P2 before that.

But I am not yet willing to switch out P2, because I can gain an immunity to electric type attacks and gain some hp should I switch in to a Joteon's thunderbolt. Now I am free of that. I am running toxic > Thunderwave to outstall Salamence. This thing stills has a sweeping capability, so I still want him in.

Bump...350 views..any responses? I am curious why SW Lucario will benefit me more the SPecs Luke, and if P2 should stay

I'm pretty sure he just told you to use SD lucario because he thinks the Choice Specs set is a "gimick". Honestly, if it worked for you then use it, because you don't even have pursit bait to get easy set up opportunities for the SD variant anyways.
