Team "Muhaha" will spirit you away!

Team "Muhahahaha"

I wanted to post an RMT, but though all of my teams were boring and standard. I also thought they were alot better than this, which I formulated quite quickly but thoughtfully, using a threat list and particular theme in mind, rather than my other teams which had ages spent on them using the entire tier list with priority given to OUs, about half of the BLs and also a couple of Ubers which were likely to be tested or moved down (namely the Lati's, Darkrai, Manaphy, Mew and Wobbufett). I didn't want to post something entire thoughtless, but I wanted to make room for changes so not everything had a set purpose that couldn't be ignored but also wanted to make sure that my team was sturdy enough to cope in the standard metagame but at the same time be fun to use.

Some may say that "Theme teams fail! They have so many common weaks due to their poor diversity!" Prepare to be proven wrong.

Team "Muhaha!"

Team Name: Muhaha!
Metagame: Standard
Theme: Dark and Ghost

The Lead
478.png

Lassie/Froslass@Focus Sash
Timid w/ Snow Cloak
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Spe / 252 SpA
-Spikes
-Destiny Bond
-Taunt
-Shadow Ball

Shadow Ball to check LeadScarfGar, and Taunt to stuff up leads such as Aero and Ape.
I still maintain that this works well, even though it is a little outdated. It first uses Focus Sash to get a free Spikes in, and then, if it is imminently going to die, will use Destiny Bond to get a free kill from a suicide lead. Thunderbolt and Ice Beam are for a little sweeping if i can get a couple of turns in, but are mostly for filler. Maxed Speed to make sure I can Destiny Bond before I die, and max SpA for as much damage as possible if I occasionally choose to use these rather than DB. Little HP because I will get 2HKOed anyway with piss-poor defenses, whether I have Sash or not, so they are useless (because I DO have Sash =D)

King Boo/Gengar@Choice Specs
Timid w/ Levitate
EVs: 6 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
-Shadow Ball
-Focus Blast
-Thunder Bolt
-Trick

This is my main Sweeper, and is my all time favourite Pokémon (had to bring him in somewhere =D). specsGar is the best sweeper out there and I haven't used him in ages, so I don't plan on changing him. Maxed SpA and Spe for obvious sweeping purposes. I always take Shadow Ball as STAB, and Always Thunderbolt and Focus Blast for those that don't mind my Shadow Ball (mainly Skarmory and other Steels or Normal types). Trick is there to get rid of my Specs late in the game when I'm done with it, which makes one of the foes Pokémon utterly useless, more of a burden to have during the late game. I get owned by Scizor so I took this...

The Scizor Counter/Handy-Dandy Toaster
479-t.png

Toastpowah/Rotom-H@Choice Scarf
Modest w/ Levitate
EVs: 6 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
-Overheat
-Thunderbolt
-Shadow Ball
-Trick

This can make Scizor unable to boost with Trick, or can just OHKO with Overheat. This doesn't need HP EVs as it is fairly bulky anyway and is a more offensive Pokémon anyway. Thunderbolt and shadow Ball are here for STAB and Trick is here to get rid of my scarf when I'm done with it, much for the same reasons as Gengar. Some may question the benefits of having more than one TrickScarfer, but this just makes the use of it twice as efficient and twice as effective, something which my team will be grateful for, as by dint of being a theme team, it has obvious glaring weaknesses.

The Physical Sweeper
430-f.png

Peter!/Honchkrow@Choice Scarf
Naive w/ Super Luck
EVs: 248 Atk / 48 SpA /212 Spe
-Night Slash
-Drill Peck
-Superpower
-Heat Wave

I replace Drapion with this to check Duggy and Tar slightly better. This can also sweep slightly more effectively and isn't too reliant on boosts either, whic is nice. He hits 397 speed including the Scarf, so he switches in on DDTar while he boosts and lols at his speed boost, while T-Tar dols (dies out loud, epic phail I know, but still...) at Superpower. Not a perfect counter, but Krow isn't common enough to be a predicted switch in and I doubt he will Stone Edge against a team with four ghosts =D.

The Wally-Stally Special Thing
442-f.png

Da Tomb/Spiritomb@Leftovers
Careful w/ Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 140 Atk /116 SpD
-Sucker Punch
-Pursuit
-Will-o-Wisp
-Pain Split

This is the standard from Smogon, but I have used him for near enough forever, and this is merely a variant of the old standard from before Pt. He is basically here to cover my mistakes. He always comes in against Ghosts or Psychics, but is here to switch in on anything that predicts my Tricks. Because I have two Trick-Scarfers, he becomes a necessity for the team. He also does a nice job of walling. The way he works: He comes in on most Pokémon that have become a threat, unless they resist him. These are mostly things like Azelf or Gengar (that aren't carrying Trick themselves). If they saty in to attack, they get Sucker Punched in the face, and if they decide to switch (or if they have to) then they get hit by a STAB Pursuit. As I say, this works best against Psychics and Ghosts, but can work well against most that don't resist Dark. WoW hurts and Physical attackers who think they can take advantage of my Special walling EV spread, and Pain Split heals me a little bit, and can rack up a little more damage too due to his low HP. Although he only truly shines in certain situations, he is always useful in some way, even if it's just special sponging. The attack EVs allow me to occasionally OHKO Azelf with Sucker
Punch.

The Physical Tank
477-f.png

Black Blob/Dusknoir@Leftovers
Relaxed w/ Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 20 Atk / 232 Def
-Substitute
-Focus Punch
-Ice Punch
-Pain Split

Ice Punch over Payback to better deal with Dragons who cause problems for me otherwise.

This is my Physical Wall, but also dishes out a moderate amount of damage. I went for SubPunch because I have few ways of dealing with T-tar. Max attack LO Crunch is always a 2HKO, but you won't often see that. THe most common ones now are CB ones (which does even more damage) and the lead variants, which I have no problems with here at all. If it goes Jolly then it is only a 2HKO if it boosts with DD, meaning that I have a free turn to get hit an make a Sub. Then I can FP him. 20 Attack EVs is a guaranteed OHKO against a Max HP T-Tar (presuming it carries no Defence EVs). Payback and Relaxed to do some reliable damage, and is resisted by nothing combined with a Fighting move. Pain Split for a little recovery.

Threat List

Azelf: Spiritomb. 'Nuff said if you read the description.
Breloom: Walled and killed by Noir, and Krow easily kills but fears SD Mach Punch. Still, SubSeedPunch sets are more common by miles so this is no problem.
Celebi: Killed by Noir and/or Tomb, and walled by both too. Krow can easily kill with Drill Peck but there is a very small chance Celebi will have HP Ice. Most carry fire, so I'm not scared.
Dugtrio: Walled by Noir and possibly Tomb. Killed by Noir and possibly Froslass in an extremely unlikely situation. Krow has EQ immune and can switch in with prediction, and outspeeds with Scarf.
Electivire: No problems at all here. Noir and Tomb both completely wall it, and could easily cripple and/or kill.
Empoleon: Easily killed by Noir but can be a problem if he gets an Agility in.
Flygon: Noir has no problems wallling and kills with Ice Punch.
Gengar: Spiritomb. 'Nuff Said if you read the description.
Gliscor: Gliscor is not a problem for Noir with Ice Punch.
Gyarados: Rotom can kill easily and he is walled by Noir and Tomb, but can be a pain because of Taunt.
Heatran: Killed by Noir, but Scarf is a pain for the rest of the team. Rotom walls and can 2HKO I think.
Heracross: Easily walled by Tomb and Noir, but can be a pain to kill particularly with a scarf. Still, not that common anymore, even though he's amazing! Still, can't argue with the statistics so he sin't much of a problem, which is more convenient for me.
Infernape: Killed by Krow, but can't Switch in. Revenged killed by Gengar. Lead sets are more common these days which are suicides anyway. can be a pain, but fine with good prediction.
Jirachi: Killed by Dusknoir and/or Tomb depending on the set, but the Hax can be annoying. Nothing is immune to hax though, can't say much here.
Kingdra: walled by Tomb and/or Noir, depending on the set. Can be killed easily too.
Latias: Tomb and Noir have no prblems walling and killing whatsoever.
Lucario: Easily walled by Tomb and Noir, and OHKOed by Krow's Heat Wave. Needs prediction but killable.
Machamp: Noir and Tomb have no problems taking hits, but have trouble killing. Krow OHKOs with Drill peck
Magnezone: Noir kills it quite easily and Tomb walls too.
Mamoswine: Noir has no problems, Tomb cripples with WoW.
Metagross: Krow can OHKO with HEat Wave but needs to be wary of Bullet Punch or AgiliGross, and Noir totally walls. Tomb can cripple with WoW.
Ninjask: Causes problems if I allow it to BP, but otherwise can't do much in itself.
Porygon-Z: Tomb has no problems, neither does Noir.
Rhyperior: Noir and Tomb both wall it. FP Noir can kill it too.
Roserade: Not a problem. Noir and Tomb both completely wall it, Krow OHKOs with Heat Wave and Drill Peck
Rotom-As: These are all easily dealt with, i just need to watch out for Trick Scarf. Still, Krow doesn't care about the scarf as it has one anyway and will OHKO with Night Slash, especially if it crits.
Salamence: Causes a few problems, but is walled by Noir, and dealt with by Ice Punch and possibly Pain Split in the right situation.
Scizor: Again, a problematic one. I can get around it with cripples (i.e. WoW) and boosts of my own, and Tomb can wall him quite effectively, but otherwise I am stuck with Stalling him out with Burn and LO. Need to sort this one out.
Snorlax: SubPunch Noir and TrickScarfers, but he ca wall my taem a bit, Krow Superpowers but needs to be wary of Curselax.
Starmie: Nobody uses this anymore, but is killed by STAB TBolt from Rotom-H, and is outsped with Scarf unless I've already Tricked. Same for Gengar, but without the STAB. Krow OHKOs with Night Slash.
Suicune: Killed by Gar , but otherwise causes problems. Also hurt by STAB TBolt from Rotom-H
Togekiss: Meh, Thunderbolt from Gar can kill this. ParaFlicnh gets annoying but only a few pokes are immune to that anyway. This doesn't get used much anymore so this won't cause too many problems.
Tyranitar: This one really causes problems. I have made an attempt with Noir, but he will end up with pretty low health and is easily revenge killed due to his awful speed, priority running about and Pursuit weak. He can be dealt with, but leaves me at bay to other Physical Sweepers afterwards.
Weavile: Tomb and Noir lol at Weavile, and Drapion can kill with a boosted EQ.
Yanmega: Not really a threat. Hypnosis hsa awful accuracy and back when it was used, that was its trump card. Dealt with by Tomb and Noir, and Gar can OHKO it with Thunderbolt if need be, although he is killed by Air Slash.
Zapdos: This can be a nuisance, but its one of those that isn't a real problem, i just have no true way of finishing it off. I suppose Noir and Tomb can both sorta wall it and Gar can revenge kill it if needed.

This is great in UU, and, besides being the only physical based Dark or Ghost type sweeper worth a mention in OU (discounting T-Tar due to the SS), is also a great choice in this meta. I also think he helps with the originality factor aswell. He has Jolly to get as much speed as possible. I chose this over Adamant and Agility because his mediocre attack stat cannot hold it's own in OU as much as UU but JOlly and max lets me hit 317 speed, meaning I outspeed Mence before a DD, outspeed standard Luke who thinks he will kill me with CC and also outspeed Jolly max speed Gliscor until he Agilities. Scope Lens is a great addition to combine with his ability and the high crit chance of Night Slash, and can also help a tiny amount on EQ and Ice Fang (although not quite as much. Can be useful for a OHKO on T-Tar or Mence respectively although I don't always rely on that). Overall, although reliant on the situation when playing in OU, can be great when used with skill together with the right Pokémon.

Replaced by Krow to better check T-Tar and have some kind of immune to EQ so I'm not totally raped by Duggy.
