The suspect ladder and its lack of garchomp somewhat allowed me to be a little bit more free in making teams. After looking at some of the common leads I decided that I wanted to use a T-tar lead/pseudo sandstream since T-tar doesn't really have any other option for ability other then sand stream so I might as well work off of that.
Travis Touchdown (Tyranitar) (M) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 240 HP/86 Atk/184 SDef IV: Spe 3
Sassy nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Taunt
- Crunch
- Dragon Dance
- Fire Punch
Travis, the Star of the show. The two things I hate the most are Gengar and Bronzong. This actually deals with both of them quite fine. EV'd to survive timd life orb Gengar's Focus blast thanks to sandstream and will return the favor with Cruch for the Ace. Outspeeds Bronzong's and takes very minimal damage from Gyroball thanks to Tyranitar's already slow speed. After a taunt DD up and start slinging firepunches/cruches as needed.
Harvey Moeseiiwich Voladarskii (Heatran) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Dragon Pulse
- Dark Pulse
I really needed a revenger killer. I had Choice Scarfed Porygon-Z in this spot, but he never hit hard enough for my tastes. After getting molested by this same heatran I decided to try it out. With its immunity to sandstorm, and varied movepool allowing it revenge kill. Nonscarf gengar and Salamence(Who seems to be functioning as a GARchomp replacement) without impunity. Earth power for early on to scout and see if the opponent is packing a heatran of their own makes this very... very solid.
Destroyman (Lucario) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 Atk
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Extremespeed
I desperatley needed a physical sweeper since I usually use Garchomp as a goto in these situations with T-tar/Gliscor I needed to think of another force as almost as destructive that I could think of, after I trying a few things around I ended up with this. I decided to forgo the option of Crunch to deal with Gengar who switch in expecting to get in for free off of a close combat or extreme speed. With Heatran packing Dark Pulse I felt that crunch was maybe a little bit redundent for coverage.
Bad Girl (Suicune) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/4 Spd/252 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
Sleep Talk Suicune! This thing has bailed me out of a few stall situations acts as my primary status absorber/sdef wall. Given special defence EVs to act as a safe switch in to Salamence/Dragonite who are slowly becoming new garchomps. With leftovers can neutralize sandstorm damage while others get pelted by it.
Holly Summers (Celebi) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP/220 Def/36 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Leech Seed
- Grass Knot
- Thunder Wave
- Recover
Just plain annoying. Bulky water counter, primary Gyrados counter. Celebi is often switched in to damn near everything that is aimed the rest of the team. Resisting 6 types gives this little.. well.. whatever the hell it is, alot of chances to spam Thunder Wave and Leech Seed to set up for other switch ins.
Dr. Peace (Gliscor) (M) @ Brightpowder
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP/4 Atk/252 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Roost
- Aerial Ace
- Stealth Rock
Physical Wall, kind of your standard Gliscor. Without Garchomp around I decided to switch over to Aerial Ace for Heracross and Celebi. Stealth Rock to add up with Sandstorm for Residual damage, since I have roost as a recovery move. I opted to go with Brightpowerder over leftovers. My reasoning for this is, I would much rather possibly not take damage from a Specs Heatran Fireblast then reliably gain 6%hp a turn. So far its working out fine. I'm still testing though, I want to try a Foretress in the spot with Spikes/EQ/GyroBall/SR but that leaves me with no EQ immune pokemon and a physical wall with no recovery move.
