Team of the Week

I think Smogon should have like a Team of a Week thing. Where you guys pick out the best RMT thread (or team) and show it to the community on the home page, or some other place. Any tier team should be allowed to be shown if they're good.

Discuss.

I don't think a 'Team of the Week' in the RMT forum is necessary. We already have an RMT archive in which numerous excellently presented and successful teams are showcased. If someone wanted to see an example of a good team and how an RMT should be presented, they could easily look in the RMT archive. Additionally, when a Smog issue is out, there is usually a featured RMT section, in which examples of good teams (usually for different tiers) are displayed, so that's another place in which good teams are shown to the community. With those two aforementioned things, I don't think there is a need for a Team of the Week.

That is true, though sometimes people would like to see the best posted team of the weak from time to time.

This is merely a small suggestion, I'll just like to see peoples views on it.

Bloo hit it on the nail. Even then, the average team posted in the RMT section isn't very good, which is why it is there. Like he said, you can go to the archives to look at the best RMT's. Another option is to order the RMT's in order of rating which will put the highest ranked ones first.

Wouldn't this encourage more shitty "bragging RMTs" where users with heightened senses of self worth post their RMTs because they think their combination of Pokemon will enlighten the world and make them famous? and less "Hey! I made a team, but it needs a little help..." threads?

I believe that great teams are featured in the Smog. Isn't that enough?
