Team Pikapwn

This is undoubtabely one of my more successful UU teams. Its funny because it wasn't really meant to be successful, but more of a gimmick team that had fun with a Pikachu. I haven't shoddied with this team yet, but on PO, I have yet failed to lose more than once out of countless battles. Without further ado, lets get on to the team~

TEAM BUILDING PROCESS
Obviously, I started this team with a pikachu.

Then, I needed a way to lure out special walls which had fun with pikachu all day and beat them. One pokemon came to mind.

Pikachu wasn't the fastest thing around, so I needed some paralysis support. I first settled on chansey, but then disregarded it for miltank, as I dislike the fat egghead.

Pikachu wasn't all that powerful either, so spikes and rocks were needed to actually do some damage.

I looked at my team, I had spikes support and paralysis support, I might as well just use another sweeper to take advantage of it.

I then realised my massive alakazam weaknes. And what's a good counter to alakazam?

A CLOSER LOOK
139.png

Omastar (M) @ Lum Berry
Trait: Shell Armor
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Def / 80 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf
- Spikes
- Stealth Rock
- Ice Beam

Ahh, lead omastar. Gets up rocks and attempts to set up as many layers of spikes as possible. Stealth Rock and spikes are self explanitory, surf and ice beam provide good coverage for situations when omastar is taunted. Evs are also obvious as they make omastar as bulky as possible.

Pikachu (M) @ Light Ball
Trait: Static
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Grass Knot
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Substitute

Pikachu, how I love thee. This thing comes in late game and tears shit up with its giant special attack stat. Thunder bolt, Hp Ice and grass know provide flawless coverage. Substitute eases prediction and can be easily set up due to pikachu forcing out the likes of milotic. 252/252 evs are to make pikachu as fast as possible while still hitting hard. Light ball is what makes pikachu viable at anything at all.
429.png

Mismagius (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Nasty Plot
- Taunt
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Shadow Ball

Mismagius is sexy. This thing lures out milotics and registeels, who are swiftly 2hko'd by a +2 shadow ball and a +2 Hp fighting respectively. Nasty plot is so that I can hit hard right off the bat, as opposed to using calm mind which basically disables my ability to kill registeel. Taunt cripples walls who think they can status me without the cost of health as substitute. Shadow ball is reliable STAB and has perfect coverage Hp fighting. Evs are just like pikachu's for the same reason. Life orb gives mismagius that extra damage input to deal with walls.
241.png

Miltank (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP / 224 Def / 32 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Thunder Wave
- Seismic Toss
- Heal Bell
- Milk Drink
Miltank is my cleric and my answer to any physical sweepers who are not fighting type. Due to heracross's recent drop, Miltank has become less viable, and therefore leading me to want to switch this role. Twave provides paralysis support, Seismic toss is for solid damage.Heal bell allows my team to deal with status better and milk drink is reliable recovery.
442.png

Spiritomb (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Shadow Sneak
- Trick
- Sucker Punch
- Will-O-Wisp
Spritomb is my prime counter to fighting types and alakazam and also a revenge killer. I often find I hely on spritomb too much for too many things... Shadow sneak always OHKO's alakazam. Sucker punch is a great tool to revenge kill. Trick cripples walls, and will-o-wisp deals with fightings. Evs provide max attack output while maintaining bulk.

Venusaur (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Overgrow
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Sleep Powder
- Swords Dance
- Power Whip
- Earthquake
Amazing sweeper with my spikes support. Sleep something and sd up to fuck shit up. I use earthquake as a backup option for registeel. With, once again, the drop of heracross, this thing is becoming less viable. I'm thinking of switching this for rock polish torterra to ease my alakazam weakness a little bit.

Closing comments
As I've mentioned before, despite that I have yet to play against a heracross, it can theoretically rip through my whole team, bar pikachu who I really don't like revealing early game, and even then, I'm forced to sacrifice something everytime it switches in just to revenge it with pikachu.
~Thanks for reading!

Instead of using a Miltank I'd consider a Weezing. From now on Heracross is going to be everywhere and you need a physical wall that is able to take hits from him.

Weezing @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Hp/252 Def/4 SAtk
Nature: Bold
- Fire Blast
- Thunderbolt
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Thunderbolt was chosen over Will-o-Wisp so that Heracross doesn't get a free Guts boost and to counter threats like Azumarill and Feraligatr. With Rest-Talk it is able to absorb status aliments that would otherwise plague your team.
This Weezing forces a ton of switches and has great synergy with Spikes support, it also lures Psychic types like any other poké, meaning that Spiritomb gets a free switch in thanks to its immunity and is able to revenge kill them.

Speaking about Spiritomb I'd really replace Will-o-Wisp with Pursuit so that you can trap those pesky Ghost/Psychic and score a OHKO while they try to flee.

I also think that Pikachu doesn't help your team how it's supposed to. It doesn't provide any Resistance/Immunity and in todays UU metagame full of Priority moves and fast Pokés it really has low chances of sweeping.
But even then I have to agree with you, it is one of the coolest Pokémon ever and in UU itpacks enough power to hit hard everything not named Chansey which is set up fodder for Mismagius anyway and can be picked off guard with a CB Pursuit coming from Spiritomb.

A little nitpick: Pikachu should run this EV spread 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe because if you put 4 Evs in Hp it can only use Substitute 3 times and you don't round down Spikes and Stealth Rock damage.

You have to be very cautious with Rain Dance teams as they may cause you some problems even if Weezing can handle Kabutops/Qwilfish and Ludicolo takes 72.2% - 84.8% from Sucker Punch.

Good Luck
