Team Pop Your Collar

Introduction

Alright this is the first time i ever hit 1500 Rating on the smogon ladder, ironically after i hit 1500 shoddy decided to stop working for me Lol. Ironically I tried hyper Offense for another time, but with different sweepers and it has been quite quite successful for me and i actually have answers to almost everything. This Team has one loss on it to this day, and unfortunatly shoddy stopped working on my comp so i lost the 1500...and i won't be able to try for leaderboard with it anyway, so i decided i should post it and see what people think about it. I got 5 pokemon myself, and went into #RMT and Joshe Suggested the pokemon that eventually became the star of this Team. So here it is....

The Lead:
azelf.png

Azelf @ Light Clay
Jolly Nature
252 HP/252 Speed/4 def
Reflect
Light Screen
Taunt
Stealth Rock

This is the Boost on this team. At the very least i get Stealth Rock up, and i manage to taunt roserade/smeargle stopping those teams cold everytime. The Screens Are just Extra on this team, But if i manage to get them I can usually Cause hell.

Latias.png

Latias @ Leftovers
Timid Nature
252 SPA/252 Speed/4 HP

Calm Mind
Surf
Dragon Pulse
Recover

This is one of the pokemon i first started building the team with. I wanted to run back to CM latias since it's one of my favorite to use because i manage to set up on nearly anything. I have been ahving a bit of problem with status and thinking about adding refresh.. But it manges to get alot done, setting up on the two physical pokemon's Counters with Ease.

Salamence.png

Salamence @ Life orb
232 ATK/24 SPA/252 Speed
NAive Nature

Dragon Dance
Fire Blast
Outrage
Earthquake

This number Joshe suggested to me....and i ran with it and it took me to the highest rating i ever got. DD Salamence comes in and saves my ass constantly as most teams are weak to it..He Gets 1-2 Dances with the Screens up, and otherwise can just come in and clean up the game. This pokemon is surely the star of the team as even though most of this metagame is made to counter him, he still runs through it.

Metagross.png

Metagross @ Life Orb
112 HP / 252 Atk / 144 Spe
Adament

MEteor Mash
Earthquake
Thunderpunch
Agility

Agility Metagross with screens is honestly a Goddamn monster. I use this with the screens the most, he just plain sweeps almost everybody. Meteor mash knocks alot of pokemon neutrally, and if i get an attack Raise it is even more GG. I can usually predict when someone is about to switch in too...and he Gets that Wall KO'd without the agility, allowing Salamence to have an even bigger Vag opening to insert the Rod.

Infernape.png

Naive @ Life Orb
252 ATK/232 Speed/66 SPA

Thunderpunch
U-turn
Close Combat
Overheat

I prefer this ape over the special version because of the fact he ohkos gyarados, and also if i know latias is there u-turn gets alot more production done, and nearly kills latias. Overheat still kills all the things Fire Blast does, and now Close combat hits alot harder, which i use for Neutral damage on most things. This infernape will usually clean up the game.

Jirachi.png

Choice Scarf @ Naive Nature
252 ATK/252 Speed/4 HP
Thunderbolt
Iron Head
Fire Punch
Ice Punch

This pokemon revenge kills out everything, Jirachi is my favorite pokemon hands down, and i would never make a team without one. He cleans up almost every threat my team has with this move set...and has won so many 1 v 1 situations for me. I also put thunderbolt on there over T punch in the hopes that a few people will think my jirachi is special based, and maybe allowing me to iron head a few things later in the game. Reverb gave me the idea, and lol i hit 1500 so it must be working.

---Edits made so far---

I have Moved the EVS of Metagross around, dropping the 12 DEf into speed in order to outspeed SCarf tran.

Drop T-Bolt for Trick or U-Turn on Jirachi and make him Adamant. The former helps you cripple stall while the latter scouts for threats, especially Magnezone.

I need thunderbolt on there to knockout a +1 Gyarados, and hit other bulky waters hard....Magnetzone gets handled easily...

That is simply stupid as then the team becomes Gyarados weak. There isnt too much I can suggest for this team, but possibly it may pay to move one Defence point from Defence into Speed for Metagross so you outrun anything trying to outrun ScarfTran.

Jirachi may want a slightly bulkier spread as unfortunately it ties with +1 Mence, though going to Latias then Meta to absorb the Outrage is nice.

Thanks..i edited the Metagross like that. =)
