Next I needed a spiker, and it was basically Omastar or Froslass. Froslass is one of those pokemon that I just hate using, and with everyone preparing for it I decided to just use Omastar, who could save me a slot and set up SR as well.

Intro
This is an offensive team that aims to wear down my opponent quickly via entry hazards and crush them with my hard hitting sweepers. Once hazards are down each and every member of this team is capable of sweeping on their own, though they also work as a unit to wear down each others counters and create holes in the opponent’s team. Under the alt “SelenaGomezIsASlut” I was able to hit a CRE of 1605 on the first day of laddering, and now (at the time that I’m writing this) it sits somewhere around 1650.
Team Building:
When making this team, I decided I wanted to take a very offensive approach so I decided to start out with a solid fire+water+grass core. Venusaur and Arcanine are both incredibly useful in this meta so I decided to start out with them.
I still needed a water type, so I added Azumarill for some priority.
Next I needed a spiker, and it was basically Omastar or Froslass. Froslass is one of those pokemon that I just hate using, and with everyone preparing for it I decided to just use Omastar, who could save me a slot and set up SR as well.
I didn’t want to set up 3 layers of spikes just to have them spinned away, so I decided I would need a ghost to prevent that. I wanted to try out Subrise Rotom so I added him in.
Well I was looking pretty weak to opposing Venusaur, so I added Honchkrow to help defend against it.

Summary: Omastar is, in my opinion, one of the best leads in todays metagame. Most of the common leads are beaten/set up upon. For example, Ambipom, Froslass, and Uxie are currently the top 3 leads. Ambipom’s Low Kick only manages a 3hko on Omastar, and if they Taunt they’ll be losing half their health to Surf. Even the bulkiest of Froslass are 2hko’d by HP Rock, and Uxie is just set up bait. After hazards have been set up Omastar serves as a check to many threats such as Arcanine, Swellow and Honchcrow.
Moveset: As I have explained this team revolves around entry hazards, so Spikes and SR are necessary. HP Rock may look like an odd choice, but it’s necessary to hit Honchcrow, Moltres, Froslass and Jumpluff for maximum power. The EVs allow Omastar to function as a great physical wall so he can set up on a vast majority of the pokemon in UU.

Summary: Honchkrow is the primary wall breaker and revenge killer in this team. Its sleep immunity and grass resist make it an excellent switch into Venusaur, who tends to be attracted by Omastar and Azumaril. Honch is the sole reason I don’t have too much trouble with rain and sunny day teams, as pretty much everything found on those teams can be OHKO’d with Sucker Punch after some spike damage.
Moveset: Brave Bird absolutely destroys all of UU’s walls, and the few that resist it are met with a grim fate by Superpower. Sucker Punch is an incredibly useful priority to have, especially against Rain and Sunny Day teams, and for some reason I’ve been seeing a lot of both lately. Because I switch Honch in so many times he tends to get worn down quickly, so Roost is there to recover some health. This thing forces so many switches so pulling one off is not very difficult.

-Shadow Ball
Summary: SubCharge Rotom has proven to be an invaluable asset to this team. There have been plenty of times where this guy has come in on something like Honchkrow, subbed as they Sucker Punched or whatever, and just ran through the rest of their team. This guy is particularly useful against stall, where the only thing stopping him from a sweep is Spiritomb, who is easily worn down by entry hazards and so is generally not a problem.
Moveset: The set is standard really. Charge Beam is for boosting and Sub protects against status and weaker moves. After I have a few boosts I use my two stabs, Thunderbolt and Shadow ball to sweep. I originally used an EV spread with more bulk, but I found maxing out Sp.Atk was more useful for the extra kick it gave its attacks.

-Sleep Powder
-Power Whip
-Earthquake
-Synthesis
Summary: Arcanine and Azumarill tend to draw in bulky waters, so Venusaur is a great pokemon to have to keep the pressure on. It forces so many switches with the threat of a life orb Power Whip and Sleep Powder, so spikes damage adds up quickly. Honchkrow is a common switch in but it takes around 50% from Power Whip and an extra 25% from SR, so it can only switch in once. Arcanine is also a common switch in but Azumarill and Omastar both have an easy time dealing with it, so he’s not that big of an issue.
Moveset: I first ran SD over Sleep Powder, but Sleep Powder is such a great move to have when I’m having a hard time with one of my counters, so I ran with it instead. Plus, Life Orb Power Whip and EQ hits hard enough, so SD was an unnecessary addition. Power Whip is self-explanatory, and Earthquake provides a good secondary coverage move. Synthesis recovers Life Orb damage.
PROcanine @ Life Orb

EV’s: 252 Atk/252 Spd/4 Sp.Atk
-Flare Blitz
-Extremespeed
-Morning Sun
-HP Grass
Summary: Ever since Arcanine got Morning Sun I’ve been abusing it with Toxic and a somewhat bulky spread, but I finally got sick of being walled by Rhyperior, Omastar, Kabutops, and Quagsire, and I tried a Life Orb version with HP Grass. Needless to say, it works amazingly. Watching a full health Rhyperior switch in on an ExtremeSpeed or Flareblitz expecting to wall you, only to get OHKO’d the next turn by HP grass is priceless, and is often the momentum shifter that wins me games. Honchkrow greatly benefits from Rhyperior’s destruction, as it’s as solid a counter as you can get, and a lot of people rely solely on it to check Honch. Against stall this thing is a beast, and a Milotic that has switched in on 3 layers of Spikes and SR can be 2hko’d by Flareblitz, iirc.
Moveset: Flare Blitz is self explanatory. It’s an amazingly powerful stab attack with life orb, and anything not resistant to it is most likely going to be ko’d. Extremespeed is the best priority move in the game, at least in my opinion, and is great when it comes to revenge killing. The one weakness that this Arcanine has is that between Life Orb, SR and Flare Blitz recoil, he tends to die too quickly. Fortunately Morning Sun somewhat remedies this.
PROmarill @ Leftovers
~Huge Power
~Adamant
EV’s: 168 Hp/252 Atk/88 Spd
-Waterfall
-Aqua Jet
-Ice Punch
-Superpower
Summary: Azumarill is this team’s prime switch in to fire types such as Moltres, Magmortar, and Arcanine. (HP Grass versions aren’t handled by Omastar) The priority it has in Aqua Jet is incredibly useful when it comes to revenge killing fire types, and Kabutops in the rain. Because Venusaur is on 85% of peoples teams, I usually Ice Punch the first time I bring this guy out, unless I’m forced to do otherwise. But seriously, you wouldn’t believe how many Venusaur I’ve killed/crippled by doing that. =) As you can see I don’t run Sub Punch Azumarill or CB, instead I run 4 attack Azumarill, which is the best Azu set imo.
Moveset: Because I’m not wasting a moveslot on Substitute I can have more diversity in my attacks. Waterfall is the obvious stab move of choice, and with Huge power and max attack it hits incredibly hard. Aqua Jet, as was previously mentioned, helps finish off weakened foes such as a Moltres that switched in on SR. Ice Punch is great for nailing Venusaur on the switch and it also hits Honchkrow and other flying types hard. Lastly Superpower is great for taking out dark/Ice types, such as Umbreon, Walrein, Snover, and is especially handy against hail teams.
Outro
All in all I have had a very fun time using this team, I usually run with stall or balance, but after using this team I’ve seen how good offense really is. I’m open to all suggestions, as well as a replacement for Honch once it’s been banned. (We all know it will be)
Peace! =)
