Team: Rise of the Phoenix - An UU RMT

RISE OF THE PHOENIX

No, Srsly. So i was playing on the OU ladder with
SubChargeRotom, ripped from Jabbas Thread
and i was thinking: " Is this set also useable in
UU?". And i came up with this Team. So i Hope
you like it, hf.

In Detail:

Scyther (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/4def
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Aerial Ace
- Quick Attack
- U-turn
- Brick Break
I tried here a lot of Mons here, like Uxie, Donphan or Steelix. All of these Pokes can
set up Sr, but I rly want a Hard hitter Lead. This Pokemon Does Massive damage
to everthing that doesnt ressist. I choose this EV spread for more power and and
jolly with 252 Speed Evs to outrun all 100 Base speeds. I dont use 4 Evs in Hp,
cause with 281 HP i can switch 2x in Sr wich is very very important. The Moveset
is standart, U-turn for STAB and with primeape iwt works very well, like Flygon and
Scizor. Aerial Ace is for Fighting types and coverage. Quick Attack is for Pokemon
that i cant revenge with Primeape. Brick Break is filler, to hit thoose annoying Steels.
I tried Puruit > Brick Break but it failed.

Roserade (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)- Sludge Bomb
- Synthesis
- Leaf Storm
- Sleep Powder
- Sludge Bomb
Oh Yeah, its LoRose from Heysup's analysis. This thing is fast, hits hard and can sleep
some threats. Most of the time i switch into Grass Attaks aimed to Milotic and counter
them with Sludge Bomb and my BulkyWater counter. Also Pokemon like Chansey arent
that problem, my opponent switches into Chansey, I use Sludge Bomb. He dont't switch
I use Sleep Powder, than Leaf Storm. Sbomb+Leafstorm does around 65% and he sleeps.
Than i can switch into Scyther and scare him away. Sleep Powder to sleep Mons, Leaf Storm
and Sludge Bomb are Stab and Synthesis is recovery. It works well with Milotic. And works
as my status absorber, with natural cure. The Evs are given to outspeed neutral natured
base 85 Pokemon.

Rotom@ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Charge Beam
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
Thats the MVP of my Team. Like i sad before, this Team was build around this Pokemon.
This Pokemon is only stopped by Roarer/Hazer or Dark type Attacks. The Speed Evs and
Timid nature is to outspeed Roserade and all the other 90+ Base speed Pokemon, like
Venomoth. Its very easy to set up, thanks to his immunities and resisitances. Maybe I
need to use more HP Evs?

Milotic (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Marvel Scale
EVs: 152 HP/252 Def/56 Spd/58 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Hidden Power [Grass]
I add Milotic to absorb Fire - and Water attacks. With instant recovery and 100 Base
Special Attack it can be annoying and hard to take down. The Speed Evs are given
to utspeed Mixed Blaziken, Jolly Marowak, and Adamant Torterra. The HP Evs for
a round Life Orb Recoil. The Def Evs are given to take Arcanine's Flare Blitz.
This thing needs a good grass partner like Rose.

Registeel @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP/100 Atk/152 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Iron Head
- Shadow Claw
- Explosion
This is a great replacement as it adds a good check to Mismagius and Yanmega, and provides good Stealth Rock for your sweepers. Stealth Rock is really important in this Yanmega infested metagame, its one of the best checks to it so use it. Iron Head will always beat Mismagius thanks to the current EV spread, Shadow Claw checks SubCharge Rotom, who is really troublesome with a couple of boosts under its belt. Explosion is self-explanatory, base 500 Attack is nothing to scoff at..

Primeape(M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Vital Spirit
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
With a good Type coverage Primeape is an nice revenger. EVs are Standart, Strong and fast.
Like I mentioned before Primeape works very well with Scyther. Eartquake is for Toxicroak and
Drapion. Stone Edge for Flying/Bug types, like Yanmega and Scyther. With 289 and a Choice
Scarf it reaches 433 Speed, enough to outspeedall Choice Scarf Absol, max Speed Electrode,
and Modest Swift Swim Omastar in the rain.

Rate/Hate/Whatever

Hey got your PM dude, great team here. It seems to lack a good check to Yanmega and this team lacks some Stealth Rock for your sweepers. Mismagius also seems to threaten your entire team, and Clefable is iffy. A simple patch up to this weakness is adding Registeel over Clefable, and let me explain why

Registeel
@ Leftovers
Careful Nature (SpD+ / SpA-)
252 HP / 100 Atk / 152 SpD

- Stealth Rock
- Iron Head
- Shadow Claw
- Explosion

Rotom needs its EVs to be 240 HP / 12 SpA / 252 Spe at a Timid Nature. This way you can survive Ice Punch from Registeel and it won't break your Sub. It also lets you take Azumarill's Aqua Jet when your health is high. Definitely try this one. As for other options, I know your going to have a hard time with Blaziken, mix in particular. You might want to try out Defensive Milotic over Life Orb Milotic - this way you can check it. Milo / Regi is a good solid core to build around sweepers. If the Stealth Rock weakness is really taking a huge toll on Scyther, you might want to try out Ambipom for it. Ambipom is a solid lead and provides Fake Out and is one of the best leads today. gl.

Thanks franky, I try that Registeel in a few matches it works very well. Now I use that EV Spread on Rotom that you suggested, again thx.

PS: Defensive Milotic is in Test.

Okay as rotom is your primary sweeper chansey and Registeel wall him completely. No one can denie this. Thus you need a solid chansey and steelix counter. Choice Band physical attacks are nice but when they switch to a ghost as most chanseys or registeel. Thus I recommend having HeySups Mixed Blaziken inplace of Primeape. Paired with Roserade, blaziken can do nasty things. Definately use the defensive Milotic. Although it is surpising it isn't used as a sweeper for a reason. Also you team needs the defense. As for a lead I recommend Trying out choice Scarf uxie / Mespirit who can further cripple steel and chansey. Aimpolm is also possible as he is a beast hitting hard. He would also be able to take the ghost attacks aimed at rotom. Your team is also easily spiked and that is an issue as u willl have to change numerous times a rapid spinner could be of use. Furthermore you lack a true status absorb. Who if the likes of rotom are paralyzed you are introuble. Just bringing some points that I saw hope I helped if you need elaborations on any thing. PM me or leave a post here

Nice though Slumdog. Rotom is Walled by Chansey and registeel O_O I switch in Registeel and Chansey, cause thy cant tuch Rotom, I change that Milo to a defensive set. And I dunno, Blaziken is a nice idea, but i need a revenger. Maybe i can use Blaziken > Something else, dunno what. I give Defensive Milo 56 Speed to outspeed the shit.

Okay blaziken was a small suggestion. The primary issues are you lead as I don't see what Scyther is doing for you team as a lead. As most leads kill him and with no spin support he is dying real quick. And a better revenge killer then primeape. Another suggestion I thought of was a taunter. Possibly a taunt electrode. This prevents roars and such if used properly and but will die quick but will almost guarenteed to go first. However Ambipom stands out as he can taunt. And hits hard which is what you want scizor for. As for Prime Ape I think HitmonChan or lee or Top do a better job of revenge killing as fighting. Tech Top revenges anything but ghosts which registeel covers. Where Scarfed Lee Has more power then Ape a little less speed but alot more power.

I would keep Primape. Being able to absorb sleep is very valuable with Roserade running amok. Give Primape Ice Punch over SE since most fliers will be hit hard enough by ice punch or are Honchkrow who is hit harder by CC anyway. Not having to rely on 80% accuracy on your revenge killer is a nice bonus.

I would swap Scyther for Ambipom with a silk scarf or lum berry. Fake Out fills the revenge-killing role of Scyther, Taunt is as invaluable as ever, return is a fairly powerful attack that lets Ambi clean up late-game, and pursuit or shadow claw handle ghosts and psychics trying to run. Takes far less from SR then Scyther and has fewer weaknesses overall. Without a spinner, I think CB Scyther is just too risky.
