Team SandRachi

This team is based around Jirachi being the late game cleaner. Its done pretty good for me on Shoddy but their are a few weakness that need to be dealt with. So heres the team:

hippowdon.png
@Leftovers
Impish nature

Stealth Rock
Slack Off
Earthquake
Ice Fang

EVs: 252HP / 192 Def / 24 Atk / 40 Sp def

I actually nicked these EVs off Obi's stall team. They work rather well.

First priority is to set up stealth rock. Although thats not the reason I chose him for my lead. I chose him because he starts a sandstorm which hurts my opponent alot if their not prepared.

swampert.png
@Leftovers
Relaxed/Sassy nature

Surf
Ice Beam
Earthquake
Hidden Power [Electric]

EVs: 240 HP / 192 Def / 52 SpA / 24 Atk

Swampert counters alot of Jirachi's counters. A mixed set provides alot of coverage as well. Now you may be wondering, Why Hidden Power [Ghost]? Well the answer is that it help me to hit Gengar, Uxie, Cresselia, Celebi and a number of other pokemon that usually switch in on him without any worry.

garchomp.png
@Choice Scarf
Adamant nature

Outrage
Fire Blast
Earthquake
Stone Edge

EVs: 252Atk / 252 Spd / 6HP

Garchomp is my mid-game sweeper. In the sand he is almost unbeatable. He takes care of alot of things with Outrage although his other moves are wort a mention. FF helps take care of steels, EQ is for STAB and SE takes care of flyers.

blissey.png
@Leftovers
Calm nature

Seismic Toss
Softboiled
Aromatheropy
Flamethrower

EVs: 252 Def / 216 Sp Def / 40 Sp Atk

Blissey is a great Sp Wall. But you already know that. Aromatheropy heals my team from stats problems, Softboiled is for HP recovery, Flamethrower is my attack and Seismic Toss hits whatever Flamethrower can't.

magnezone.png
@Life Orb
Mild nature

Thunder Bolt
Hidden Power [Ice]
Explosion
Magnet Rise

EVs: 88HP / 88 Spd / 76 Atk / 252 Sp Atk

Magnezone is a great sweeper and steel killer. HP Ice takes care of Dragons thunder bolt for STAB explosion when I'm at low health and Magnet rise so that I don't get hit by Ground Attacks.

This EV spread allows me to do more damage faster because he ain't gona last long anyway.

jirachi.png
@Leftovers
Modest nature

Psychic
Thunder Bolt
Grass Knot
Hidden Power [Ice]

EVs: 252 Sp Atk / 252 Spd / 6HP

Jirachi has an excellent movepool which provides awesome coverage. HP Ice is great for coverage, Psychic is for STAB, Grass Knot is for Swampert and Gastrodon [who I have a problem with. A big one] and T-Bolt takes care of Flyers.

Possible additions to the team:

Cresselia
Celebi
Dugtrio

Well thats the team. Thoughts?

Lonely nature on Swampert seems like a typo, but incase it isn't Relaxed is recommend to boost your defence a bit further, and it reduces the not-so-important speed stat instead of your pretty important defence stat. Brave for the extra power is also OK I guess.
Just for future reference, STAB Surf is more powerful then a super effective HP Ghost, and a super effective Ice Beam is obviously more powerful then HP Ghost. Hidden Power Electric will let you handle Gyarados though, and considering you currently got no other answer to it you could consider it. :]

I would consider running Tyranitar as your streamer in favor of Hippowdon, actually. Celebi can out-stall your whole team, and nothing is capable of hurting it enough to KO it. Both Blissey and Swampert are sturdy users of Stealth Rock, incase you don't want to lose it.

However, even with Tyranitar your lack of an semi wall-breaker bothers me. Considering you're running Magnezone, why not try the SubSalac Garchomp? That is if you're playing on other sites then Smogon, though, as it recently became über. It would compliance for your lack of some serious power, and still provide some speed. If you're playing on Smogon, a SD Lucario could be played quite simulair, althrough maybe a DDmence can abuse the fact that Magnezone trap-and-kill both Bronzong and Skarmory a little better.

Good luck with your team, and I hope my advice was for any help!

You have a HUGE mixape weakness. Grass knot scores an OHKO on hippowdon and swampert, close combat takes care of blissey and magnezone, Flamethrower OHKOes jirachi. Garchomp is the only one not to be affraid of ape because he's faster even though he fears HP ice. Do u honestly think u can dent those pokes with HP ghost it wont even scratch them. It barely does 20%. So i sugget ditching swampert for vaporeon who can counter mixape and give u much needed wish support...
Hope I helped!

Bulky RestTalk Gyara over Swampy for the mixape issue. Calm Mind over HP Ice on Jirachi. Fire Blast over Fire Fang on Chomp.

Overall your team looks great. I really suggest you keep in Jirachi for your own team's sake. Never take Jirachi out. Jirachi is an amazing poke, amazing movepool, base stats, good typing. I have a Jirachi myself and it works wonders for me.

Your Garchomp seems very standard. I'm sure he can do more than a mid-game sweep, maybe Draco Meteor instead? Its a OHKO on Salamence and other dragons even after the Special Attack drop.

I'm almost 100% positive one Flamethrower from an Infernape won't score a OHKO on Jirachi. That's in hypothetical reason, I'm not positive though.

I AM 100% positive that it will.

Well, it looks like you are right. I'll use HP Electric instead.

Opps, thought that that decreased speed. Should I use Relaxed [+ Def, - Speed] or Sassy [+ Sp Def, -Speed]?

I'm now running HP Electric.

What other benefits are their to running T-Tar? [If any] Is this a good set?:

Tyranitar@Choice Scarf
Naive nature

Earthquake
Ice Beam
Crunch/Stone Edge
Thunder Bolt/Fire Blast

EVs: 72 Atk / 184 SpA / 252 Spe

Stole it from the Peer edits section. Though I'm not sure what moves to run.

What pokemon is most recommend instead of Garchomp?

Thanks, it was.

I need swampert to counter alot of Jirachi's counters. Although is their anything that can take Garchomps place and counter mixape that's not named Starmi?

I need Swampert to counter Jirachi's counters. HP Ice provides good coverage and now that Garchomp is gone Dragons like Salamence and Dragonite are becoming more popular.

Fire Blast. Done.

Thanks for the help guys. Any other tips?

24 hour bump:

Is this Tyranitar a good lead for this team:

Tyranitar@Lum Berry
Sassy nature

Crunch/Pursuit
Flamethrower
Earthquake
Thunder Bolt

EVs: 240 HP / 36 Atk / 48 Def / 160 SpD / 20 Sp Atk / 4 Spd

You now may be wondering, Why 4 Speed EVs? Well the answer is to outspeed other Tyranitar leads.

Lets take a look at the top leads:

1. Azelf - Destroyed by either Crunch or Pursuit
2. Bronzong - Covered by either Flamethrower or Earthquake depending on its ability.
3. Tyranitar - Will have to wear it down
4. Gengar - Pursuit
5. Yangmega - Flamethrower, Thunder Bolt
6. Deoxys-S - Pursuit
7. Infernape - Earthquake
8. Ninjask - Flamethrower, Thunder Bolt
9. Gyarados - Thunder Bolt
10. Aerodactal - Thunder Bolt
11. Roserage - Flamethrower
12. Crobat - Thunder Bolt
13. Weavile - Flamethrower
14. Abomasnow - Flamethrower

Provides some nice coverage. Thoughts?
